He rented this equipment under false pretenses for a period of time for which he was not even working on our house. He did not pay his bill to Sunbelt Rentals. Sunbelt Rentals then placed a lien on our home based on David's lies to them. Our contractor tried numerous times to get David to pay the bill at Sunbelt Rentals which he never did. I ended up having to pay David's bill to Sunbelt Rentals to cancel their lien on our house. David did shotty work which the mason that we hired to complete his work insisted upon tearing down because it was not stable. Then he stuck us with a bill for his rental equipment that we never authorized.

They responded that they do patchwork and we were asked to send pictures to 828-712-3485 of what was needed to be done and our contact information on 3/27/2020, and we included approximate measurements of the sections that needed repaired 4x5 & 5x6 also. At this time, we were told that they were a few weeks out. So, we waited and reached back out on April 1, 2020 to see if there was an ETA when a time was scheduled. On April 2, 2020 @ 7.12am we got a response from Alex - phone # 828-712-3485 that they would probably get with us on Tuesday. We responded by saying we would have someone there by 11am and was free on Wednesday also. Alex responded he could do either day. We told him Tuesday was fine. So on Tuesday at 6:45pm a text was sent to Alex and said "so no show and no call and I've lost two weeks waiting on you I could have already had someone out here that wants my business" The response from Alex on Wednesday April 8, 2020 @ 10:57am was "We will do the patch is no charge to you". On April 9, 2020 my wife called and spoke with Alex to confirm about the "NO CHARGE PATCH", but he immediately went into making excuses and stating that they DID NOT DO patchwork and the job would have been given to a subcontractor and that his company would not have anything to do with this job. There was no mention of a subcontractor at all - and if that was the case, we would be dealing with the sub not Alex. Then Alex went on to say that the 50-year-old subcontract was non-essential and could not be working because of the COVID19. I understand there is a pandemic right now, and even if the case was that Asphalt companies were non-essential, which on Buncombe County list they are considered essential- BOTTOM LINE IS THAT WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN CALLED TO CANCEL ALL SERVICES. The story doesn't end there - So Alex wanted to give my wife the Subcontractors phone number directly. But after she thought about it, she didn't want to deal with them anymore. And said no need for the Sub's number and said bye and ended the call. But this is where is gets good and very unprofessional!!! Alex CALLED HER BACK, a few minutes later to say that his initial response trough text was his lady in the office, not him and that she was meaning to text an entirely different person's phone number that was similar to ours. I was shocked he even called her back after that - she said they got disconnected during that call and she was not going to bother with it anymore, we would just call a different company that wanted our business. AFTER THAT ALEX TEXT ME TO SAY "YEAH WHAT A MAN HAVING HIS WIFE DO HIS WORK". What should it matter who called, and you never know why someone else is handling the situation - but as before BOTTOM LINE IS THIS COMPANY IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE AND WOULDN'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!
