One call and a text with a picture of the broken bracket later, and Mark and Nate (the father and son team and store owners) were scheduled to come out the same day to make the repair in my home. They were flexible in scheduling the appointment, replaced all of the original brackets and added an extra to ensure stability, finished the repair in under 20 minutes with absolutely no mess, and charged me $100 total for the new brackets, the installation and labor, and the travel to and from my home. He would never walk into a store, look at the merchandise, and then go buy it on Amazon or from another online seller. That loyalty is exactly why this experience was so disappointing. He went in to buy 4 patio chairs. The staff told him the chairs on the floor were discounted 25%. Then they said they didn't actually have 4 at that price, and he would have to pay full price for all 4. He could have saved $200 per chair at another store, and they knew their price wasn't competitive. Even so, he stayed loyal and bought all 4 at full price. You would think a local business would meet a loyal customer in the middle after advertising a discount it couldn't honor. Instead, there was no effort at all to make it right. The service was very poor from start to finish. Lesson learned about where we will shop again. If you're looking for a competitive price and good service, go elsewhere.

I had the most unpleasant experience working with Nancy Jacobson on our home. We already provided…read moreher with detailed drawings of the exact design and layout we wanted for our kitchen. She provided us with a quoted price, down to the penny, based off the architectural drawings we already provided. Using her quote (which noted would respect the budget that we had already shared with her), we proceeded and parted with a $5k deposit. She had our drawings in her possession for nearly 3 months. She met with my wife on several occasions to fine tune the design, only to make insignificant changes. Because they outsource the CAD renderings to a third party, ANY change would then trigger another 2 week turn around time for a new CAD rendering (including inconsequential changes like altering a paint color). It wasn't until nearly 3 months of "fine tuning" that she revealed our custom pantry doors would not be warrantied and she would not provide pantry doors at all. She also revealed a glass cabinet with a unique size spec (which again, she's had for nearly 3 months), would also not be warrantied. She offered for a third party to come in and deliver on our entire design, and then proceeded to charge us $40k more than her original estimate. She blamed her manufacturer for not informing her of their warranty policy on the pantry door instead of taking accountability for failing to stay on top of it. She made erroneous claims about how our plans for our counter tops weren't congruent with our sink spec. So we resorted to including our contractors into the email thread with Nancy to shore up any discrepancies, only for her to yet again deflect and claim that it was the job of the GC to overlook these details (even though it was her unsolicited erroneous opinions that spurred the collaborative effort to begin with). My wife reached out to her upset about being offloaded to a third party and having to pay $40k more for the same design we brought to her nearly 3 months ago. Nancy has since ignored two of her emails. She did not strike me to be a serious person who was attentive and committed to our project. And from my perspective, her blatantly ignoring my wife's emails is the straw that broke the camel's back. I would not recommend this company. Needless to say, we went elsewhere.

I spent many hours working with Nancy and her staff who were equally as warm, welcoming, knowledgeable and efficient as she was. The process of designing a kitchen and four baths was seamless from layout, cabinet style selection, coordinating colors and finishes including countertops, ordering, delivery and installation. We live in DuPage County and checked out a couple stores out here - the tile shop which had some of the worst customer service we've encountered in our life, a couple locally owned who kept pressuring us to use their people for the installation despite us already finding someone we trust, and that left me searching for a new place. America's Flooring Store came up in our search so we had nothing to lose coming here. First, it is 1000% worth the drive out here. They have so many beautiful selections to choose from. After we shared our style with Lisa, she immediately pulled a few options. I'm not over exaggerating when I say they were all perfect. Both my husband and I leaned towards the same one as our favorite! Lisa really listened which I feel is so rare these days, and made the ordering process a breeze. Our tiles came in quickly in about a week. One of the tile sadly was cracked right down the middle which happens. Nobody can control what happens in shipping, and Lisa immediately took care of this and got replacements! We will never go anywhere else for flooring and will refer all our friends and family here. I can't recommend this place enough!!!
