My…read moreidea was this: After receiving a very cool Nikon camera as a birthday gift, I wanted to find someone who could actually help me learn to use it and be able to shoot some memorable places in the meantime. Well, Wilf did not disappoint!! We did a day tour of Carcassonne, which is an amazing medieval castle in the south of France. As soon as I met Wilf, I knew I was in good hands! He is a very down-to-earth person, he made me feel very comfortable with my lack of knowledge about my camera and he assured me that by the end of the day, my photo-taking skills would improve. Well, they did! He showed me how to make every photo count, meaning every picture I take now is a great one (so I think). More importantly, it was the whole experience that I would like to thank Wilf for. Of course the location was fantastic, but it was Wilf's approach that really made the whole day so memorable - he is full of interesting facts, he really knows his stuff, he doesn't judge you and takes things at your pace. Not only did I learn a lot, but I felt like I was on an adventure with an old friend the whole time, and you just can't beat that! I know they do tours all over the world, but I am seriously considering joining up with WPA again for their Thailand tour. I wanted to thank Wilf for this wonderful experience and I highly recommend this to anyone interested in discovering something new about themselves or their cameras.
