Motag provide motorcycle training and teach you how to ride scooters or mopeds…read more They've got sites all over the country but I went to my local one at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre. They've got a nice private area where you can do the initial training on manoeuvres, and there's plenty of space so that you don't feel like it's too crowded. I came here to get some training to lead up to doing a test to get a full licence to ride a motorcycle. Since I'd been riding a scooter on a provisional licence for two years, I did the two-day course, as advised on the Motag site. I was pretty lucky as I had the instructor to myself for most of the time, but I've got no doubt that they don't overbook so you get the attention you need. My instructor was really friendly, as well as knowledgeable, and I had the bonus of getting some extra training on the morning of my test with the other instructor on the site. When I took my test, I passed with just one minor fault, but even if I had failed, I'd be giving Motag a 5 star review because I felt that the advice given in just two days had already made me a much safer rider. Looking back to when I first started riding, I wish I'd done my CBT (compulsory basic training) with Motag. For one thing, they're just much friendlier and don't look down on scooter riders. Mainly, though, I feel their focus on safety makes the roads a much safer place. One final note on the central admin team: I think it's fair to say I wasn't the easiest customer to deal with (short notice booking, lost certificates, loads of queries) but they dealt with me with patience and courtesy.

During the Driving on the rd section my radio became distorted and I couldnt hear anything so I pulled over, explained the situation to the instructor and he just allowed me to follow one of the other students with him bringing up the rear, problem solved! I passed first time with no issues and I would recomend this place to anyone

I normally end up paying a stupid amount per month and not using it…read morebecause "it's raining, I'll go tomorrow" or "it's just a bit far", but the National Sports Centre in Crystal Palace has changed all that. For starters, it's recently been refurbished with new machines, weights and kettle bells, a dedicated spin studio and some other machines that I'm still trying to work out what to do with. It's nice and close to my house, and being able to walk there and back is great. The staff in the gym are friendly and helpful, and they set monthly challenges for members to compete against each other. The pool by all accounts is nice, although I'm yet to use it. The only downside is the heat from the pool fills the reception area and basketball court so it always feels like walking into one of those tropical butterfly houses! It's cheaper than some more glamorous 'brand name' gyms, and it's not full of Roid 'eads. The classes are all included too!

This class for adults is small and friendly with plenty of encouragement and opportunity to stretch yourself. It's great fun and I'm learning so much! I'm trying things that even a few weeks ago I would not have thought I would be doing. My confidence has soared and I come away feeling that my battery has been re-charged. The only downside is that I have to wait a whole week for the next class!

Lady said she will charge £32 for the hour + £4 for their travel or Block book for 11 lessons and pay reduced amount of £22 + £4 again travel. I think they're expensive! Still she said they offer further 5%/10% discount but I couldn't understand clearly what she meant. I might give them a go during these school holidays as my son needs to improve his ks3 levels.
