Otherwise, it was a pretty nice experience the weekend I went back in April ! Fortunately, I was at Laurel Lodge, where it felt more hotel-style with each person having their own bed (4 beds a room) and one bathroom per room. There was also ample storage space. The room we all met in for sermons was also really nice and it looked like it was updated - with two 'lounge' rooms on each side of the main room. There is also a nice open field, a big dining area with lots of seating, and it is just pretty to walk around the conference grounds. I also really liked this little lounge area where you could get tea and coffee whenever you wanted.The campground staff was also helpful, and there was also a zipline and bouldering course further up the hill of the conference grounds that was fun to do for both students and youth leaders. I also came to this camp site a little over a decade ago and although I don't remember details of that stay, I do remember having a good time. It is really good quality facility.

Our room was very spacious, nicely furnished, and clean. My husband wanted to raise the blinds but couldn't find a control to operate. We called to the front desk to ask about operating the blinds. He told my husband where the remote is located on the wall. Alas no remote. He said he wound send maintenance person up to raise the blinds. Then I noticed there was no shower curtain! Hooks but no curtain. Another call to front desk and a response he would contact maintenance. We left to go to a friend's home and stopped by the front desk to remind him and he took notes. We never were able to have blinds opened and never received a shower curtain. Too bad! It was an impressive hotel. Everything else was great including very comfortable beds.

Comfortable room that held a family of four nicely with AMAZING shower (so crucial after six days without). Price was very reasonable, especially after a generous discount offered by Marriott to locals without power. Extra kudos go to Vanessa at the front desk for the wonderful support she gave throughout our stay. She has a kind and generous demeanor that was so appreciated by a family frazzled by the lack of power. From booking us over the phone when the website failed, to making sure we got the best emergency rate, to handling all of our requests and finally helping us with a smooth exit when our power suddenly returned, Vanessa was the smiling face and competent execution that made our stay a solid five stars. And as I watched Vanessa work with other guests, it was clear that it wasn't just us - Vanessa is a top-caliber human who genuinely cares and makes things better for all who engage her. Thank you to Four Points and especially Vanessa for a regenerating stay when we needed it so urgently. I'm sold on Four Points. While I hope not to need it soon, I'll be there next time our lights even flicker!

The food was fantastic, and the vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options were especially impressive. Guests were raving about everything. The service was just as exceptional -- the team was attentive, kind, constantly refreshing items, clearing tables, and so gracious throughout the event. They were also wonderful to work with on budget, incredibly accommodating, and even helped with a few extras so we did not need additional rentals. Wilder Space is polished, professional, and truly top-notch. We are so grateful we found them and will absolutely use them again. I booked very early on with her and had many questions and follow ups. She always responded promptly with love, compassion, and a clear passion for her work. In addition, when Alicia joined on our team, she integrated seamlessly when working alongside Molly. We were so impressed by Molly's cooking (and overall hospitality and gratitude) when we enjoyed her tasting. We lowered our expectations when we assumed that food made in bulk for a wedding wouldn't be as good. I am so so pleased to say the food was just as incredible when it served over 110 guests. It greatly exceeded our expectations. Molly cooks with love. You can feel it when you're enjoying your meal. Things really peaked when our assigned parking spot was taken by a party guest after we came back from dinner, and the "emergency" contact basically said, "Good luck--there's a party going on." Nobody in the office, of course. The cabins themselves? Think sad summer camp meets thrift store chic--hot, musty, and uncomfortable, with a creaky bed and WiFi that gave up faster than we did. The location has so much potential, but, unfortunately is neglected by an owner who doesn't care about you or your stay. In fact, she passed by my family a few times and did not appear to be friendly. If you're looking for peace and nature, this place might deliver--just not when the owner's throwing herself a bash like it's Coachella.

So much here. So many ways to really unwind. Walking around the grounds is inspiring. I ran into Derek a time or two who was relaxed but busy on the many projects that keep him focused here.
