Their hanging baskets are absolutely gorgeous and offer a wonderful variety of colors and plant combinations. The prices are clearly marked and very reasonable, especially when compared to other nurseries in the area. One feature I really appreciate is that every type of plant has an identification card with a photo and basic planting and care instructions. This makes it much easier to choose the right plants and know how to care for them once you get home. Robins Nursery also offers a beautiful selection of healthy shrubs, and they have a charming little building called Robins Seed Shack where you can purchase seeds. What makes the experience even better is the friendly and helpful staff, who are family members and genuinely care about their customers and plants. Robins Nursery is absolutely worth the drive. I have gone to Peter's farm market for a long time and have overlooked Reeb's (on the other side of road less the 1/4 of a mile north) for way too long. I will never go to any other farm market besides this one!!! I guess what makes it a little more quaint is that the actually farmer is the one running the store. I'm sure it's just because it's not harvest time but he's a nice guy who seems to work his tail off. I feel bad that I didn't get his name - I think it's important to get names!!

I've visited maybe a half dozen of different local pumpkin farms, both no one does it like…read moreLogstroh! I'm so glad we found this farm a few years ago because now it's a family tradition! About 30 mins outside of Columbus near Orient, the farm is easy to get to. They are solar-powered, too, which makes my heart happy! They have an awesome team who works hard and always with a smile. The shop has great treats and gifts. They have SO many varieties of gourds and pumpkins, too. Some I've never seen anywhere else. You can purchase pumpkins from just outside the shop if you don't want to take the wagon ride out to the field. There's also a little tractor train ride for kids and a small corn maze (both for a bit extra, maybe $4 each). They have goats to pet and big hay bales you can play on. If you choose the tractor wagon ride out to pick your pumpkin, it's $10 which includes any pumpkin you pick/can carry - no limit on color, size, variety. They rotate their fields every year so we have seen different field areas over the years. This year we didn't see the bee hives they keep on our train ride out. I hope their bees are still doing well! And now my favorite: The pumpkin donuts. They make them fresh right there and they are melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The donuts alone are worth the drive! They have chocolate and cherry donuts too but pumpkin is where it's at. I start thinking about these donuts in the summer, they're that good!! So whatever you do, don't skip the donuts!! The shop is full of goodies like handcrafted soap, fudge, jams and jellies, wood works, quilted objects and the list goes on and on. They had chocolate milk and even Creamsicle milk! We ended up taking home some apple cider and honey. We were also impressed with the friendliness of all who worked there. This family farm is one we will definitely visit again.

During my 20 minute visit, I encountered four staff members inside and outside of the greenhouse and in the building were the cashier is located. They were not busy...three customers not counting me. Not a single employee acknowledged my presence. I even said good morning to a male employee sitting in a golf cart texting. He looked at me and went back to texting without saying a word. If there was an award for Worst Customer Service, I would nominate Siebenthaler's without a doubt. The selection in the greenhouse was not very good. I intended to buy geraniums, but the plants were not very nice and pretty small yet $8.95 each. Almost every plant in the greenhouse was $8.95 per annual plant. Extremely overpriced for the size and conditions of the plants I looked at. I left without making a purchase and drove a few miles to another greenhouse where I found geraniums that looked healthier and nicer for $1.99 each. I'm so thankful I looked elsewhere. I will NEVER return to Siebenthaler's in the future. Terrible service (no service at all), extremely overpriced, mediocre plants and selection - a complete dud!

It's stocked with things like honey and soap and candles and you can put your cash in the secure box since there's probably just a stray chicken or a friendly dog hanging around. I love the soaps that have clay in them, and I especially like the "Honey Harvest Soap" and the vanilla bean infused honey which is great on crackers and cheese.
