This is off the highway on the way to the airport. There is a large parking lot, and the greenhouse is huge! I went in for one thing & walked out with more than 10. I hand-build tiny, tiny ceramic pots, so I'm always looking for tiny plants to put in them. Straders has only a small selection of these pots & they are $6-15 depending on plant. DeMonye's had 10x the variety of what I usually find at Straders, and they were $4.49!! I did a little dance. You can find annuals, perennials, indoor plants, bulbs, seeds, soil, garden decor, pots, you name it! I also found flowers and berry plants for my garden. The staff was super knowledgeable and friendly. They said to check out their Facebook and IG for updates of what's in stock!

Now we live a bit far away, but in an online search for a place with a good selection of healthy house plants, Knollwood came up repeatedly. So we drove down & were amazed by the terrific selection of not only house plants, but also pots, gifts & beautiful Christmas decor! The place is huge and it's FULL! And the products they're making for Christmas are stunning. Even my somewhat curmudgeonly husband was impressed. And their prices, especially for house plants & pots, are way lower than other competitors, even the big box places. The plants are healthier, too. And the best thing was the help we received. I was seeking advice for plants I might not accidentally kill, and the lovely young woman who helped me (I think her name was Kirsten or Kristen??) was so knowledgeable. She asked some good questions, then gave me advice on what to choose, and then while I was shopping she thoughtfully placed two gifts I had already chosen into pretty organza gift bags! I was really just amazed by this, Amazing selection, prices, and especially service that you just don't get anymore these days. You'll find all of it at Knollwood!!!

They have a huge selection and every single one of their plants is big, beautiful, and in very healthy condition... something you'll never find at a big box store. They also have many plants that you will not find at mainstream places, such as banana trees. The employees here are very knowledgeable and helpful, which was really impressive. They gave me some tips on my hibiscus I had never gotten before and that have worked perfectly. My only complaint is that there doesnt seem to be prices on things. I do not like that at all. I am not here to price shop, but I do have a budget, and felt bad continually having to ask how much things were!

The ladies who worked there helped us pick out a beautiful selection of flowers for our pots. They taught us how to make how selections visually appealing and guided us to the right flowers depending on where our pot will reside. My pot will be in my front porch which is shaded and also has some sun. I was able to pick out both shade and sun flowers. The flowers here were so bright and healthy. I was so happy seeing all these beautiful colors and really wanted a job here. It must be heaven to work with the most beautiful flowers every day! I picked out 2 different flowers of different sizes. One grew taller and the other was short. I also picked out the most vibrant pink Colleus plant. I have never seen one so rich pink. This will be my filler. I also got another plant with cool hardy leaves that will also have flowers if they get sunshine for my drooping over the side of my pot plant. I was very happy with my selection and the ladies who worked there were super helpful! My pot came out $10 more than the pre made one but I was able to choose my own selection. This was such a fun event. They also had cookies, meat,cheese and wine inside the main house. I bought a spicy jar of salsa to go.

This time, we have had trouble finding cukes and zukes, and after 4 other places I made time to come here. And they had what we needed. Not a ton of them, and some were small, but enough to get us going. They said, as others have, that demand is huge this year. Good social distancing, masks, plastic divider by register, etc. Prices are a little high but you get what you pay for. It's worth the expense, and drive.

They did a complete remodel in 2023 and I have to say - everything seemed so expensive compared to 2022. I haven't noticed this huge mark-up at other local Columbus nurseries. So, for me, I'm not sure if it's worth the long trip. I'm sad because I really liked the vibe of the old space and the prices were similar to what you can find in Columbus but a much better selection of the Proven Winner plants. But I don't really want to spend 20-30% more than what I can find closer to home.

We have purchased MANY trees over the years from Browns and other local nurseries, but our latest…read moreexperience at Browns has not been good. A tree we purchased 10 months ago has not been doing well. It has been properly planted and cared for-even "babied" along-and still not doing well. We are not at all new to tree planting or basic knowledge, so to have this kind of issue is very very rare for us. We have inquired back with Browns 3 times now as to what we can do to help this tree make it, and have gotten zero help or answers this far. We are getting the feeling that they are just waiting for our 1 year from purchase guarantee to pass by so that they can skip their commitment. We do not necessarily want the tree to be replaced, we want their input to know to make this tree thrive better and we are not getting it. Our next tree/shrubs may be coming from someplace else. Update from initial paragraphs above... absolutely zero "customer service" for the tree, and our time ran out. We had to cut it down. $300+ in the burn pile. I very rarely give a business this kind of review, but I honestly feel that this was warranted. We played by all of their retune/customer purchase rules and guidelines, and they did nothing.

Virginia when the winter gets colder to maintain their stock and tomatoes are brought in from Georgia and Florida. I am a firm believer that good food is all about good ingredients and I am constantly underwhelmed by the selection and quality of the produce at my nearby Giant Eagle on whittier street and trendy Kroger's in the Brewery District. This week at Evelyns I got some of the biggest and hardy sweet potatoes for just .79 a pound and equally delicious tomatoes for 1.99 a pound. I also had my eye on the abundant and fresh supply of sweet onions, zuchinni, cabbage, and squash. Again the quality is superior to local grocers and prices are competitive. If you are not familiar with this part of town it can be tricky to find, south on parsons avenue just beyond the old schottensteins. The address is Marion rd but it is not marked, You will see E. Barthman on the west side, and Evelyn's is on the opposite side. Hours are Mon-Saturday 9:00-5:30 from Dec-March and 9:00-5:30 Mon-Sun April-November. I often call ahead to see what they have each week. I am never disappointed!

Most of their produce is signficantly cheaper than what you could get at Kroger or Giant Eagle, and more inpressive in quality. The staff is very nice and eager to help you. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for fresh produce. I live a good ten miles away and I still drive over to Evelyn's regularly. Its worth it!
