It had been a long time since seeing a chiropractor until I called and Jessie got me in really quick to see Kyle.

I get a message the day before my appointment that I need to reschedule. Calling back about an hour before my cancelled appointment, the receptionist said they cancelled because they couldn't confirm my insurance coverage but have gotten it straightened out. She asked me to come in. I had already told my husband I would watch the kids and could not come to the appointment and would need to reschedule. So we schedule for next week. I get another call saying that my insurance isn't accepted and if I came, I'd need to pay $55 per appointment since I'm out of network. At this point, all these calls and messages are nuisance calls and wasted my time. I could have been searching for a physical therapist that my insurance covers. While I cannot comment on the actual service, the front desk is disorganized and likely structured to get money from you. Hard pass

Krista's work in helping to alleviate the lower and mid-back pain I'd been experiencing for the past six months has been nothing short of miraculous. Before seeing Krista I'd seen another physical therapist, and the difference between the two was like night and day. After only six sessions with Krista, the improvement in my back is unbelievable (unbelievably good!). I don't know how she does it, but every time I present Krista with a new twist on my back issue, she comes up with an exercise - or does some "hands-on healing" - that resolves the problem almost instantly. The evaluation she did during my first session was extremely and impressively thorough. She also really listens when I describe what's going on with me and offers always great, always spot on, solutions. I never feel rushed during my sessions and it's very helpful that she emails updated videos, which include include any new exercises she's added to my twice daily at-home routines. I also have to give a huge shout-out to Troy and Henry. Aside from always being pleasant, both have been amazing at helping me with the exercises I do at the facility and with scheduling. I still have some more work to do, but I'm very, very grateful to Krista for all she's done to get me back to being the happy, almost completely pain-free, person I was before I found her.

I have been very impressed with the VA Portland Health Care System. I have been receiving good care…read morefrom my PCP for years. Last year I became deathly ill while traveling in Mexico and found a doctor who spoke some English and put me on IV fluids for days and then antibiotics 24x7 with 24 hours a day of nursing care. My health kept getting worse. I couldn't stand up or take a step. I couldn't even swing my swollen legs out of bed. My lungs filled up with fluids and I couldn't catch my breath or think straight. I felt that I was very close to death. When my condition worsened I was put in a gated, locked senior living center for rehabilitation but there was no rehab available and the other patients were placed there for care and feeding until death. At some point I was told that my vital signs had crashed and I was rushed by ambulance to a nearby hospital where I spent several days in the ICU getting tested and being given 2 units of blood and 2 units of plasma while running up a $10,000 bill. I became afraid that I would die in Mexico because the doctor didn't seem to know what to do to help me recover and our communication was difficult because of the language barrier. With my local friends I staged an emergency escape from the locked senior "rehab facility and flew to Portland and went directly to the VA Hospital ER. I was admitted to the hospital and put on new meds. I spent weeks in the hospital and within a few days I could sense that my condition was improving. After weeks in the hospital I was sent to the VA rehab center in Vancouver, Washington where I stayed for another month learning how to walk again. Then I moved to a Senior Independent Living Center for several more months before I was finally able to move into my own home, able to live alone and care for myself. Everyone I met in the Portland VA system welcomed me and treated me like a welcome guest. The care, kindness and compassion were wonderful. They saved my life and thanked me for the privilege. I couldn't be more grateful. (Aside from the quality of the food) I feel that I got great quality life saving care from the staff and the entire system.

I was having real issues with pain and mobility...but I was treated like some addict when I spoke of the pain I was having. And, not by one, but by two (2) VA medical professionals! They told me that they did not believe me...in essence, I am a liar. Medical professionals...those who are supposed to have you in mind. So...I found out today that the problem I am experiencing is that the prosethetic post is freaking moving and that is what is causing the pain. So, the VA and its "Marque de Sade" approach to Primary Care Medicine sucks...they called me a liar and it becomes obvious these Medicos are suffering from severe "Cranial rectumitis." And we are supposed to think these people are heros? These people are there for a paycheck and do not care about you. And, when the goverment wanted you they drafted you...now the screw you. I was at Lifelines Womens PPW program in October, and I didn't finish and went home early. I went…read moreto a different program in Spokane and it was absolutely TERRIBLE. Lifeline isn't PERFECT, but considering they accept people on Medicaid and they provide you with the level of help that they do, it's quite impressive. There's a few small things that I would suggest to improve their program. When there are new patients, put them into a "detox room" for the first 5-7 days. My insurance only covered 5 days, and from fentanyl the detox is much longer than 5 days. So if people need another 5-7 days, I think they should be granted that if they need to rest. My daughter joined me right when I was getting sicker and sicker. I had been expressing I didn't feel good but staff was brushing it off. I'm a long time addict and don't complain much, If I'm expressing that, I'm not exaggerating! I ended up leaving to get back on methadone. The other thing that bothered me is that there was some bullying going on. I think if staff stepped up and said something and encouraged the ladies to be kind and understanding to each other, that would be so helpful. I'm 33 years old and was probably the oldest female in the program when I was there, and the immaturity of the other patients was hard on me, but I can't blame lifeline for that. But making a nice loving and positive environment is something I think they could work on encouraging. Back to the things I liked... The majority of the staff was great, and **the best thing that seperates Lifeline from other places is** they tailor the program to the patient. It's not the exact same stuff for everybody. They give you work that is directly related to your in life and trauma. I am going into re-admit at Lifeline tomorrow, I'm really excited to give it another shot, and I'm certain I will be set up for success!! And so excited to have my 2 year old back with me full time!!! Thanks! Ashley Woolman

I had to wait for 5 days to see my counselor for a half hour. Two days later I had to have my cell phone to order my Rx's. After she spent my 30 mins allotted to her time with a little whiny twat that I had learned to despise by so many days, she told me I had 15 minutes with my phone (no counselor time). My pastor had tried to call me, so I was texting him, and 15 minutes later my "psycho" counselor told me to give up my phone or leave. As my bed was broken. They wouldn't let me switch to the other bed in the room. I was 60 yo, and had back pain for 30 years. I was then told I had 10 minutes to discharge. No help, no contact with loved ones, no plan for discharge (violation of law). Their "program" relied on bringing in "self-help" groups daily to espouse the "glory" of their journey to sobriety while ridiculing the week. Sober drunks. Daytimes were pretty loose. The video room was open , and I was surprised to see movies demonstrating or glorifying drug use. Just to get berated by AA that night. I started to get the idea that LifeLine meant LiferLine in the convict sense. Everybody else seemed to be on "paper". When I was discharged there was no standard, no intake paperwork, including a statement of charges, no plan of care, no in care paperwork, psych notes, labs. Eventually, all I got was just an invoice for a shitty experience that did not help my condition. If I could rate the experience lower, I would drop it below zero. a pound dog gets better treatment. Go rehab at the dog pound.

I have been seeing her for awhile and she has helped me tackle not only my pelvic pain but as well as my feet and back problems. She has taught me so much about my body and my health. We get along so well that every appointment I have I'm excited to go and chat with her while working on my body. She is very patient and understands that I have a lot of other stuff going on in my life. Every other physical therapist I have gone to they try to rush my recovery and "cure" me in a few appointments. Guess what those problems I had that they "cured", ya still have those problems. This isn't the case for Buffy. She understands and has taught me that recovery takes time and consistency and it's not a straight line. I recommend anyone and everyone to her because of how amazing she is. My pelvic pain is a lot better from when I started. Is it gone? I saw her several times and diligently did the exercises she prescribed but didn't see any change. The last time I saw her, she seemed perplexed, and her only advice was that I needed to breathe more deeply (??) After that, I gave up on her and tried a different therapist who was able to resolve the problem I was having, with just a few sessions. Other reviewers describe how nice Buffy is, which is true. But she talks, soooo much about herself and her family. She's such an over-sharer that I ended up knowing more about her family members than I do about some of my friends. I also found it really disconcerting when she would stop in the middle of working on me to tell a story. She would just be standing there, talking about her vacation, or whatever, with her fingers resting inside me. It made me incredibly uncomfortable.
