No communication, over-budget, over-priced…read more Watch out for his reasonably priced quote. This guy will charge you for every little change added and not tell you what the cost will be...even after asking him to give you a quote on the changes. After 21 years in business you'd think he would develop some sort of communication skills. We told him exactly what look we wanted and even provided a photoshopped image of it...all he said was OK, then he totally ignored our drawings and kept doing what he thought needed to be done. We ended up doing part of the work ourselves because he would not listen to what we wanted. Then there's the deck! We didn't realize that expecting a nice border around a new deck would be "extra". This guy was actually going to start the front of the deck with a deck board cut in half lengthwise, instead of putting the cut piece in the back of the deck against the house where it wouldn't be seen. Not professional craftsmanship. Do you want your deck to look like an amateur did it? Do you want to be over charged by $1000's? Do you want no communication as to thoughts/ideas and costs? THEN THIS IS THE GUY FOR YOU.

I never fill these things out but for this company I make an exception…read more Poor communications where he wanted 1/2 money down which wasn't stated anywhere on quote. Used inferior flagstone for walkway that was ~3/8" thick. Poorly communication thru out entire process all the while charging high prices. Wouldn't ever use them again or recommend and we feel regrettably ripped off.

I hired John to replace my shed doors. I told him I wanted a rubber piece at the bottom so that…read morerain, snow and rodents don't get in. He came over and looked at the work to be done and sent me an estimate. He told me this would be a one day project. I agreed for him to do the job. Also, my husband had measured the doors and said they were standard size.He took down the old doors and left my shed wide open. He had no supplies with him, no doors, no rubber strip and it seemed that he wasn't sure what to do. He told me it would be difficult retrofitting the doors so he would have to make some. He was gone for days, left my shed wide open and I had to call him after a few days because it was going to rain and asked him to come put a tarp over the entrance, which he did. At this point I had several questions like why weren't you prepared for the job with the necessary supplies and why did I have to call him to cover the opening because he should have covered the door the first time he left. He came back in a few days but had no doors, he was "working" on them. It took him almost 10 days to complete the one day job. I paid him in full, which I should not have done because he hadn't put on the rubber strip. He said he would be back to put the stripping on. He never came back after a month. I called to ask about the strips and he never returned my call. I called and left messages 3 times and no call back, I called again because the lock he put on wouldn't open. He opened it and said it was fine. A few days later I could not get it open again. Another phone call, no response. My husband went to look at it and the doors were not shaved properly so they don't fit and that's why the lock won't open. He seemed to be out of his element because he really didn't know what he was doing. Honestly I don't think he should have taken this job as he didn't know how to do it. I would not recommend him to do any job.
