I was staying in Union City for an agricultural field day in Trenton, TN. I asked the desk clerk at…read morethe hotel about the best places to eat in town and she said she'd heard great things about the Patio Grill so I tried it out. I was seated promptly and received chips and salsa immediately along with taking my drink order. They had a good selection of different Mexican dishes. I ordered the Pechuga Mexicana, a slab cut from a chicken breast covered in fajita style vegetables and it was served with rice and beans along with tortillas. The servings were on the smaller side but were very tasty and satisfying. The waitress returned several times asking if everything was OK. The restaurant was decorated as the typical Mexican eatery in the midwest. I was just looking at some pictures that were supposedly taken at the Patio Grill but there were no scantily dressed women that I saw and I was thankful for that.

After we gave our orders, everything went downhill from there. The wait for the food was well over 1.5 hours, maybe even closer to 2 hours. When the food finally came out, sides were missing, food was prepared wrong, even had to remake a kids meal because it was made with garlic, which he's allergic to and specifically requested to not be made with it. The only saving grace is that the burgers and fries weren't that bad. I have never seen a dry prime rib, so that was new. We asked the busboy for plates so we can share appetizers but he said we had to get that from our server, who was nowhere in site for so long we had to walk around the restaurant to find her or the manager. If you're looking to eat ANYTHING other than a burger, save yourself money and a headache and go eat somewhere else. Very disappointed to see this establishment do a complete 180 under the new management.

I only ate half of it. It was delish! I also ordered unsweetened tea and added fruit teas available. They had peach as well as raspberry and a house fruit tea that was very flavorful. The service was spot on. We were greeted when we entered and the cashier was friendly and helpful. The sandwich shop is spacious and decorated nicely. It has plenty of tables and chairs for many people. You order at the counter and the servers bring your food to you. The parking can be a tad tricky since the shop shares the lot with many businesses. If ever in Martin, TN, stop by and support this local business. We had a fun time!

The restaurant is a little dark and the decor shows some age. The bathroom definitely needs updating and deep cleaning. The bento box lunch was a great value. We ordered the sunset roll because the guy across the room looked like he was really enjoying it and it has such a nice visual appeal. I know it's not a gigantic sushi roll compared to some but i think it was perfect. As you can see boyfriend was pretty pleased with it. We also ordered filet mignon fried rice. I literally cannot get over how good it was. The steak melted in your mouth we got it cooked medium. The rice itself was really good as well some places we've been it's just bland and we drench it soy sauce to give it flavor but we didn't barely use any on Yamato rice because it was very nice alone. Now my favorite part is that our total only came out to be like 20 bucks for both us. normally we spend 30 dollars on something like that total. So i was very pleased to get a really nice meal at such an affordable price. I literally do not have a negative thing to say about our experience here. Everything was super clean. Our waitress was super nice I regret not tipping more. I cannot wait to come here again I definitely recommend this place.
