He also offered me the charity receipt, which is standard. There were two cars in front of me, but there were multiple employees, and they worked efficiently to keep things flowing smoothly, which kept the line moving. The drive-thru is covered, which was great because it was a rainy, dismal day.

Enjoying the chatter with the staff who work here. We can learn when the good stuff comes and you can time your days around stopping by and checking out the new merchandise. The turnover is quick and thorough too. Other things that are claim to fame here is the floor layout is clean and is easy to walk-through. Also, the bathrooms are very clean. Spend enough times that that is important as well. You would never know that if you've never walked in. By far, this is my favorite location of all the Goodwills so far. I think it's because of its central location in Austin. It's not just garbage on the sales floor. If ever you are hunting for a good deal or a project, you'll probably find it reasonably priced. As you go further out of the area, the Goodwill stores don't carry a lot of great items. It's best to do your search closer them towards the central Austin area. As my wife likes to state it's Goodwill Hunting.

I've been meaning to check out the Habitat for Humanity ReStore for years, and I finally stopped in…read moretoday. I wasn't hunting for anything specific, just wanted to see what the place was like. It's pretty much what you'd expect, a big warehouse with a wide mix of donated and new items. There were rugs, dishes, doors, tubs, showers, washers, dryers, fridges, microwaves, and a handful of couches and TVs. They even had sporting equipment and a good amount of wood, tile, and flooring. If you visit often, I can see how you might stumble on some great deals. What didn't land for me was the lack of customer service. The only person who really engaged me was the woman at the front desk when you walk in. She greeted everyone who walked in, and she was warm, upbeat, and genuinely welcoming. Beyond that, there wasn't much support on the floor. The cashier seemed bored and not happy to be there. There's also security at checkout and a man sitting by the door. I'm sure it serves a purpose, but the setup felt a bit odd and honestly a little unsettling. I love the mission of Habitat for Humanity and think the organization does incredible work. As for the store, I'd probably only go back if I needed something very specific.

I walked out with some great finds and saved a solid amount of money. But something has changed--and not in a good way. Even back then, there were a few items where I remember thinking, "Wait... this is the same price as new. Or more." I brushed it off as a few outliers. Fast forward to now? It's not the exception anymore--it's the norm. We walked through recently, and I was honestly shocked. I'm talking about worn-out, wobbly, particle board pieces--the kind of items that are one step away from the dumpster--priced at $200 like they're showroom furniture. Dirty, heavily used pieces marked so high it makes you stop and double-check the tag like, "Surely that's a mistake..." It's not. At a certain point, it just doesn't make sense. When brand new items from major retailers are the same price--or even cheaper--there's no incentive to buy secondhand here, even if you want to support a nonprofit. And that's the frustrating part. I do want to support local. I do want to support organizations doing good work. But pricing like this makes it really hard to justify. I'm hoping this is something that gets reevaluated, because this place used to be a gem. Right now? It feels completely out of touch.

This place doesnt tell you that the max payout is $2500 I hit for 6800.00 and was only paid 1500…read morebecause the night before i hit 1150.00 and cashed out at 1000.00, So even though it was a new day they said that becuase they paid me 1000.00 already they only owed me 1500.00 so i asked what about the remaining money on the winnings which was about 5300.00? I was told that they would clear my winnings so i could donate again and redeem if i hit again. My question is if max payout is 2500.00 why the fuck do they have shit that if you pop gives you 4000.00 like the red boat on the fish game....i checked with two other game rooms and was told by both that they are just making up excuses to not pay me..Did i mention at 1st they tried to say i was cheating and that there was a glitch in my account...once they realized there was no glitch and that i won fair and square they made up that bullshit about 2500 is max pay out regaurdless of how much i win..total scam and bullshit. these people are full of shit and since they are a LEGAL game room have to adhere by consumer rules and regualtions..not only are they false advertising but they are stealing peoples winnings. Fuck this place. Goto Tropicana or Oltorf...both game rooms told me it doesnt matter how much you win if you cash out the only cap they have is how much they pay a day...unlike vip which i guess is making up shit as they go or only paying people out that they want to or know personally...

They said they only had enough cash to pay me 1000 and could cashapp the rest to me. Never sent the money, and the employee "helping" me stole it and got fired. I'm out $1800 for something I had no control of. My adviice to anyone going here is don't leave without getting all your money if you win. Never could talk to the owner/boss ... said he'd call blah blah.. got crickets.
