I cannot say enough about the Children's Development Center. I am so happy I found it! The…read moreeducators who work here could not be more committeed to the kids. My son has attended the CDC since he was 6 months old. He absolutely loves his teachers and friends here. We love that this program is diverse and offers a quality multi-sensory curriculum. As a previous educator myself this was important to me. In addition, the director, Carol, has allowed me flexibility in the days my son attends to accomodate my job schedule. The new building is conveniently located right off Rt 44 and close Taunton. If you visit this program, you will instantly know you are in good hands.

The staff is probably one of the most attentive, affectionate, well educated, and well equipped group of people I have had the privilege of working with in a very long time. From the director / owner to the teachers and support staff there is only one word used to describe them and that would be impeccable. The hours of operation are the most convenient that I have seen in this local area as well as its proximity for me and work. In this day and age as a parent it is a struggle to find a place where your children will be safe and educated. This by far when's the prize for me if you are looking for a place to bring your children where they will thrive the children's Development Center should be your first choice.

This review is only for the infant room at the Creative World on Depot St in Easton. At the time…read morethey had 6 babies and 2 teachers. The lead teacher for the room was Miss Grace who was a major disappointment. Ironically, she had worked there the longest. The second "teacher" had just been working there a few days and was a different teacher than the one I met couple of months prior during the tour. I got a feeling this place was a revolving door for employees. I felt this place was simply awful. I felt it did not provide my child with a safe and nurturing environment. And I felt it certainly added nothing to his development. Because of that I pulled my 3 months old baby out of this daycare based on what I observed on cameras and in person. On camera I observed: - all children were always in some type of gadget for hours. - my child was placed In a bouncer where he sat for two hours. For the first hour he did not even have a toy bar to look at. During that time, nobody came up to talk to him or look at him. Nobody sat near him or the other children to interact with them in any way. Nobody held him. - at some point one of the "teachers" was sitting in a chair and writing on a clipboard, while my son's head was held by her elbow and the rest of his body was hanging off of her. This is no way to hold an infant with poor neck control. - even though I specifically told The same teacher that he didn't like a pacifier I watched as she forced it in him by holding a hand over his mouth for 10 min as he cried and tried to spit it out. - nobody interacted or held him unless he was being given a bottle. in person, I observed: -a baby leaning against two stacked up boppy pillows on the floor. The baby somehow wiggled out of them and got stuck with one boppy pillow under him and another one on top of him. When I brought this to one of the teacher's attention, she simply removed the pillows and left the baby laying on the floor by himself. The baby who could not yet hold his head, kept lifting his head and then slamming it on the floor. He was doing unsupervised tummy time. - on camera I observed all the babies in gadgets while the teachers were seen talking off the cameras view. I could see them flailing their arms and hands as they were engaged in a discussion off camera. This is what they were doing instead of sitting on the floor engaging the babies or holding them.
