Weirdly small because of how it's closed off for the private beaches. Good for families and if you don't mind strangers putting their towels on top of yours. Personally not a fan of it but the parking and bathrooms make it very convenient. read more

Brick Beach #3 is something special! Plenty of parking, clean concession with covered eating area, and very congenial staff. The lifeguards are well-trained, as witnessed by their quick responses and periodic drills for rescue and CPR. All areas including the bathrooms are well kept. This beach is a wonderful place to spend your day with your family. We it. Prices for a daily badge is $10, BUT children under 11 are FREE as are Seniors! Parking has gone up to $10 per day, but you can buy a season pass. Season passes are cheaper if you purchase before May 15th. Go and enjoy a day at Brick Beach #3! read more

"We've come a long way since that day." - Avicii Oh yeah. As you probably know from some of my other South Jersey reviews, I have relatives in that general area. During the hot days or weekends, we come here to relax on the beach and have fun in the ocean. We've been doing this ever since I was a younger. Jumping through the waves was cool. But then, I got my Ron Jon boogie-board and utilized that for wave-riding. I'll never forget that one time when I was on the board, and a big wave approached from behind. I said to myself, "Here we go". You see, for almost any wave, I only ride for a short distance. But THAT time, this big wave actually PUSHED me all the way to the shoreline! Even though my eyes were closed due to the salt water pouring on top of me, I felt the ride being fast and intense. As soon as everything was over, I found myself right on the beach. That was fun, and it even saved me the hassle of swimming back, thanks to that wave. Then Sandy came through. When we went during that summer, everything appeared to be quite depressing. Even though there were beach-goers existent, parts of the sand was black, and roof shingles were floating around in the ocean. If that wasn't enough, my old man told me that he stepped on a piece of broken glass. Moving on to recently, we came on a Sunday morning. We had to pay $5 to park, and finding a spot wasn't problematic at that time. We then had to pay another $5 to enter the beach. After receiving a wristband, we proceeded to find a spot. After setting up, we proceeded to head into the ocean. The water temperature felt a lot colder than usual. So after spending a few moments jumping in the waves, we relaxed on the beach and though that maybe the temperature would warm up later on. Soon, we went back into the water, and I brought my boogie-board along. Apparently, we were wrong. Even though I had fun riding the waves with my boogie-board, the water temperature felt the same as before. We were even shivering. After a few more waves, we just decided to relax on the beach for the remainder of our experience. After lunch, we decided to pack up and leave since we were feeling a breeze that was too cool to handle, especially after being in the ocean. Other beach-goers left for the same reason. Even though a heat advisory was in effect for that general area, we still felt a little too cool. There was also only a small handful of people in the water due to the chilly temperatures. Well, at least we can say that we relaxed for a while and I rode the waves. The beach contains two parking areas - one by the beach, and the other across from NJ-35 Northbound. They have a concession area with picnic tables for breakfast, lunch, ice cream, and other snacks. They have restroom and changing room facilities. Those restroom and changing room facilities appear to be dirty, and can certainly use a revamp. The key thing is to arrive early. Because it will be hard to find a spot later in the day, as indicated by BOTH lots filled to the brim and people were waiting for spots to open up. Also, those with boogie-boards will have to ride the waves in designated areas. Overall, I'm a fan of this beach. I recommend this beach to anyone who doesn't want to deal with large public beach crowds or pay a quarter for 12 minutes or less of parking elsewhere. Cheers! read more

I don't want to tell anyone about this gem of a secret, but here goes: Brick has some awesome beach space! And for a fraction of the cost and headache! The beach is not as wide as some but access to the ocean, clean bathrooms, good food and the parking lot are all great for this senior citizen! I purchased a parking pass and got on the beach for free! Family friendly. read more

We went here today with our special needs 10 years ole and WOW the staff and lifeguards so accommodating. They took our daughter down to beach in wheelchair and brought her back up, offered to carry our bags and were also so kind. Our child would not have had a beach experience this vacation if it wasn't for these wonderful people. read more

Didn't think i'd be inspired enough to ever review a beach, but I did review the NJ Turnpike so I already lost all respect for myself... Living most of my life in South Jersey, when people say they're "going to the beach," they are talking about Ocean City - my childhood beach and one of my favorites. So when my Brick-born friend wanted to go to *his* childhood beach, I naturally protested the distance first. According to facts - from Cherry Hill, Brick Beach 3 is about the same distance both in miles (56.5 miles vs 53.4 miles) and time (75 mins vs 65 mins) than Ocean City. Then I protested the dreaded Sunday evening traffic we would be hitting - I was told there was none (and this turned out to be true). So off to Brick Beach 3 we went! There's no $3 Atlantic City Expressway or $1 Parkway to get here; you just got a toll-free ride going down route 70. We arrived at 11:15am on Sunday, July 17th, which is generally a bad time to go to the shore. Luckily, the parking lot is run by Brick itself and costs only $5 for the whole day! To compare, Wildwood, Ocean City, and Point Pleasant all have infamous private lots that run $20 for a few hours, although we've always found parking after some stressful searching. They also have boardwalks and are touristy, which makes my comparisons without any substantial correlation. The beach itself was only $5 to enter and had a nice (and cheap) burger bar where my friend allegedly got a burger for $4.95. Most people pick a beach based on the actual beach though, and I was really happy with the cleanliness of the beach. The water was clear, the sand was of the highest end NJ quality, and the other beach-goers were chill. Also, nobody took our unguarded stuff when we went into the ocean here either (although this somehow hasn't happened to us anywhere)! I was able to read without being distracted by loud music, talking, or my skin literally frying in the spots I missed on my back. So if you're looking for a traffic free and relatively cheap beach experience (without a boardwalk), head up to Brick Beach 3! read more
