Everything down to the finest details about our lunch was so wonderful, that it's hard to narrow down for brevity. The setting, the decor, the exceptional service, the food and the tea and their presentation...perfect. So lovely. A few of us have food allergies, and they were easily accommodated for. They have a nice selection of gluten free options, and what we sampled was delicious. The girls were all so tickled with their Princess Tea lunch. They received crowns, and we couldn't help but notice that each girl received a color that matched their outfit. Having a selection of finger sandwiches and little sweet treats thrilled them just as much as having pots of tea to sample from their pretty little teacups. Even the smallest details were tended to. We enjoyed it so much, we quickly agreed to making this a regular girl date spot.

My daughter is on a gluten free diet and seeing no GF offerings on the menu she ate before we went but joined us for the experience. Our reservation was for 12:30. We were seated within a few minutes. Our waitress, Ashlyn, arrived and introduced herself, promising to be back soon. 30 minutes later she returned and asked if we would like water. We said water and menus would be nice. 30 minutes later she brought a carafe of water and the menus. We had plenty of time to discuss the menu. When she returned she sat down in our extra chair and talked about the selections and made suggestions for us. Then told us to think about what we wanted and she would be back. 30 minutes later she returned and asked if we knew what we wanted. My sister told her we would like to order now. My granddaughters and I ordered the petite tea, consisting of a cup of soup, sandwich, scones and sweet treats, and tea. We all chose the baked potato soup, sweet and spicy turkey croissant, and vanilla almond tea - all served on a tiered tray. My GF daughter ordered a cup of tea. My sister ordered separately. Our tea pot was delivered and we waited for our order. Our waitress appeared 30 minutes later and asked if we needed anything. My sister said yes, we would like our orders. Our waitress apologized for the wait and said there was a mix up in orders in the kitchen. She reminded us that she did not prepare the food, just served it. Our food finally arrived. The cup of soup is literally a tea cup of soup and while it was delicious, it was 3 teaspoons of soup - which we used the same spoons we used for our tea as there were no soup spoons. The turkey croissant was grilled and flavorful, also 3 bites. The tea was now cold but the sweets were very tasty. When our waitress reappeared, she apologized for the long wait and offered to take half off my daughter's tea and noted that we would also save the tax that would be charged on the $5.00 tea. My sister told her that was not acceptable, that she thought half off the entire table was customary in the restaurant world, keeping in mind we have been there over 3 hours. The waitress said she would talk to the manager, then came back and asked us to meet the manager at the register. We ended up receiving half off the entire bill and there was half off for my daughter's tea. 3 stars for adjusting the bill and for the delicious food, that's 2 stars less than my previous glowing review for making my granddaughters first "tea room" experience less than stellar.

We were given instructions and then set free to go and wander around the property. Learning about the history of the farm was a story I've told repeatedly since leaving. The small gift shop smelled incredible and the selection was great. I bought whipped honey and oh my goodness. It's amazing. We loved it and will be back!

That being said, I had a lovely day at Dollie's. The location appears to be dog and family friendly and would be a fun day out for families. Flowers were very popular with various sizes offered at a range of cost, from small bunches to a bucket! I went for the lavender. You are given a basket and garden shears and left to cut your own. I took my time and enjoyed the relaxing environment. Pricing is per ounce, pre-wrapped bundles are available but these are dried. There are a few animals including peacocks! A store is located on the site, filled with cute home and body care. All of the items were lavender themed-I'm not sure if this was done for the festival or if this is standard.

The MXP Shop is on the Northwest side of Indianapolis, off of 79th & Michigan RD, as well as next to Memories Lounge and Just Wing It. Upon, entering the building there's no stairs, low sidewalk, and once in you'll see all the beautiful items in the shop. I was informed by one of the owners(TaKisha) that there are 16 other local Indy vendors at the MXP Shop from selling hair oils, beard oils, shea butter, clothes. Etc. You can do paint on canvas or even join the candle making classes. It took about a 2hrs process for the candle to actually become a wax. The steps on the candle making class are you pick out the glassware for your candle, add the warning sticker at the bottom, put the candle wick stick in the middle, then you'll select your candle fragrance which I chosen lemon, MXP Shop does offer a lot fragrances for the candle making classes. Then, once you select your candle fragrance, you'll pour in the glass, and then it's the waiting game. Since, during my time at the candle making class it was only me there so I spent my time talking with one of the owners at the shop while my candle cool down. Once, my candle wax appears to cool down, I received the candle care info, a free wax melt which I chosen holiday cookie, and the total of my candle making class was $40 plus $4.25 Eventbrite fee. You can find MXP Shop on Eventbrite, they offer classes in the early afternoons to in the evenings, I highly recommend you check it out whether it's the paint on canvas class, or candle making class. Try to experience something new & different you'll enjoy. I must say my first time making a candle was very fun, and a new experience.
