It's very quiet and family-oriented which is appreciated because I feel safe going for walks and not having to worry about weirdos lurking around or people speeding through the parking lots. The pool is so nice and well-maintained and I really appreciate the attention to landscaping. Overall it's been a great experience and I enjoy living here a lot.

The apartments were built in the 70s so the exterior isn't modern looking but the apartments are super spacious, some units even came with a fireplace and you can literally get a place that is over 1500 sq ft for less than 1800/month (in 2020). Looks wise the place is nice and that I can't deny that but everything else about this apartment and the company that owns them sucks. The first day we moved into our apt the floors were absolute filthy, the toilet chain in one of the bathrooms was broken and it wouldn't flush, the second bathrooms toilet seat was that of the precious tenant, four of our window screens were missing, the tile floors in the kitchen were severely cracked, our microwave stopped working after a few days, the doorbell did not and STILL does not work, the dishwasher smelled of months old mold ", the utility closet leaked and still leaks constantly and both of the sinks had severe clogs. The ONLY thing they did was paint the walls and cover all the holes and paint the patio floor with paint that isn't meant for outdoors because it chips to this day. After a month we got most of the issues fixed and I received an apology stating "this isn't normally how we do things, blah blah". It was BS. The maintenance here sucks because they take their time to come fix things, for our unit each year we've had to call them during the summer because our AC doesn't work, the gym here has outdated machines and there is a constant smell of mold in the unit. My fridge worked for about 4 months and it broke down 4 times before they decided to replace it, lost a lot of money. We are planning to move out soon. Avoid this place at all costs... yes, the units LOOK very nice but overall this place is terrible and I wish I had looked into it more before moving in.

The parents already aren't watching the kids, so why not just tell them go to the park next door instead of constantly letting them be in danger in the street and letting them damage their neighbors property? Management, please tell these neglectful parents to actually pay attention to their children and not let them loose in the parking lot/street. Glue comes through the seems and the tiles peel off. My biggest problem was finding bed bugs in the 2nd bedroom right before the holidays which was nightmare. We called saying we saw some bugs and before maintenance came to check what it was we were held a piece of paper to treat for bed bugs which I found odd because they had not confirmed that's what it was. We went through 3 treatments the entire month of December which ruined our holidays as we could not put up a Christmas Tree, any decorations or celebrate Christmas. We had to live out of garbage bags for 6 weeks as we went through treatment which was a complete nightmare and dispose of personal belongings and furniture. When asked for compensation to help with some of our losses we were denied. After the 3rd treatment we were told we were bed bug free and didn't see anything for about 1 month, now they are reappearing in the same areas which makes me believe the apartment was not treated correctly the last 3 times. This has been the worst experience of my life and would not wish this on anyone.

In the first month after I moved in, my car got flooded and totaled in the parking garage. The leasing office had never mentioned the possibility of this happening. 2. The leasing office treats their tenants poorly. On one occasion, when my friend came to visit, I went to the leasing office to ask for a visitor parking sticker. The sticker was just a plastic paper, and nothing more. Unfortunately, my friend left with that sticker and threw it away during cleaning. I thought it was no big deal, as it was just a plastic paper sticker. However, the leasing office charged me $100 for losing the sticker, a mere plastic paper sticker. 3. This one is the most ridiculous incident. As our lease was about to end, we notified the leasing office of our plan to move out. They claimed there was a penalty of $4500 because we notified them too late. Supposedly, we were supposed to inform them one month before we wanted to move out. They gave us two options: 1) pay the $4500 penalty, or 2) renew our lease. After checking our contract, I found no terms stating that we needed to notify them one month earlier. I firmly refused their demands, and they threatened me, saying a lawyer would contact me soon, urging me to make a decision before it's too late. I challenged them to go ahead and sue me. Interestingly, later that same afternoon, they called and informed me they would waive the penalty as long as I wrote a positive Google review. They attempted to scam me, but realizing it wouldn't work. Honestly, this place is OK if you want to worry about your car being damaged and being submerge under water during rainy/hurricane season. Or having the fire alarm constantly go off. Or having to step in dog poop every few days. Or having the sprinklers broken, leaving your doorway soaking wet and stinking of mold and being a health hazard. Your car parking spots would be taken up by random cars from the public (esp if you're parking on the top deck). Hallways are not camera monitored, so you'll probably end up finding dog poop at 8am in the morning while you walk to the nearest elevator and there's nothing management can do about it. Let's see what else? Your neighbors can be inconsiderate and the walls are paper thin. Garage doors actually never works, (but you wont know this until you're already deep 2 months into your rent and you constantly see everyone complaining and management does nothing) & there have been a lot of thefts. Garage panels are caving and falling in. The side doors (by the parking deck) do not lock, so anyone can come in. You pay trash fees, but you got to constantly bring your boxes down to the trash area? Not a big deal, but I am saying you're going to pay money for something that does not make sense, Plaza square used to be great prior to Covid, but boy are we glad to move further away to the city and pay more to experience nothing of the above! The only great thing about plaza is their OG maintenance crew. Over the past 2.5 years, we've made at least 30 friends (those kind where you actually have their numbers) in the community, there's only 7 who is currently living there now due to the increasing number of issues happening within the apartment complex. Also heard (and was verified by a few current tenants) that new management lacks communication with their tenants. There was no communication/updates about the recent water pipe burst that damaged over 30 apartments and the garage. That said, we don't care if they increase the rent, but why are we paying for the same things year after year and the building 's integrity is turning for the worse?
