As a bachelor without design sense it was one of the best investments I could have made. It saved me so much time and anxiety about which pieces to pick and every single person who has visited has been amazed by how nicely decorated my apartment is. The process is exactly as described by other reviewers - introductory call, questionnaire, in home visit, and follow up call a week or two later with a mood board and shopping list. Betsy was incredibly personable and easy to talk to. I was also impressed with how much her suggestions matched my style even though I didn't have the vocabulary to communicate it. Everything fit within my constraints and preferences and Betsy helped with follow up questions and suggestions as pieces came in and as I decided to swap out a few pieces.

I would not recommend TapeMeasure. I had pillows made and had a chair reupholstered. There were…read moremistakes every step of the way, and no apologies or price adjustments. This business is over-priced and will give you only frustration. I was gaslit every time I questioned the results: Estimate: In the estimate, TapeMeasure mixed up the fabrics I had selected for two different pillow sizes. Luckily I caught the mistake before the fabrics were ordered. Pillows: I gave measurements and TapeMeasure ordered the fabric. Just prior to finalizing two of four pillows, I was told they did not have enough fabric for my requested pillow size, but they would be close to my request. When I picked up the pillows, they were much smaller. TapeMeasure said nothing about the size --in fact, when I picked them up, they said they looked fine. When I got home, I measured and called to tell them they were much smaller and finally, after sending a photo, they agreed to remake the pillows. Each time, I had to drive 45 minutes round trip to pick up and exchange the pillows. No apologies from TapeMeasure. Chair Reupholstering: I provided my expensive fabric, including an extra yard, photos and a confirmation email to be sure TapeMeaure applied the fabric in the proper direction. TapeMeasure also charges a premium for using customers' own fabric. Upon picking up my chair, I discovered the fabric was set upside down. To fix the issue, they used my extra yard of fabric with no price adjustment and no apologies for my time, inconvenience or the yard of my fabric that they used to fix their mistake! All along the way, they made me feel I was being picky or was flat-out wrong. Awful experience!

It's clear that they have poor business practices if such a huge price disparity could have taken place... and now we weren't mistaken. I drove a long way to have those curtains made. Perhaps it was because I supplied my own fabric like a previous reviewer. Less profit for them in that... too bad for them as I have just purchased a new house and have multiple projects to do in my home that I would have used their help with if I trusted them even a little.
