I truly enjoy the beautiful views, well-maintained amenities, cleanliness, and the thoughtful landscaping both inside and outside the community. The pool is always clean, and the fitness center offers a wide range of equipment and workout options. I also appreciate the community events such as "Wine Down Wednesdays" and "Thirsty Thursdays," which create a fun and welcoming atmosphere. I would be remiss not to mention how much I trust and appreciate the entire maintenance team--they are responsive, professional, and reliable. Of course, as with any established apartment complex, occasional maintenance issues can arise with heating, cooling, or minor wear and tear. Given the size of the community, it's understandable that addressing every resident's needs can take time. I highly recommend investing in a garage parking space for added convenience and peace of mind. Overall, the rent is fair compared to similar properties in the area and even nationally. The residents I've met are professional, respectful, and kind, which makes living here even more enjoyable.

I rented at Renew Wheaton Center from September 2023 to March 2025 and had a very disappointing…read moremove-out experience related to pet charges. I want to share the details so future renters with pets know what to expect. I have two senior cats (age 11 when I moved in, 13 when I moved out) who are fully litter-trained and have never had accidents in any home. I paid the required upfront pet fee (around $400) plus $100 per month in pet rent for the entire duration of my lease. After moving out, management contacted me to say that when they "pulled back the carpet," they supposedly found irreversible damage consistent with cat urine and planned to charge me $760, but would apply my $500 deposit to reduce it to $260 owed. I immediately disputed this and asked for documentation or proof of the alleged damage. I was told they would provide it, but no evidence was ever sent, despite repeated requests. I also asked what the purpose of the monthly pet rent was if it did not cover wear-and-tear or alleged pet-related damage. The response I received was simply that "pet rent is pet rent and doesn't cover anything." As a renter, that explanation was extremely frustrating. It felt like the existence of pets alone was enough to justify charging for a full carpet replacement. Another concerning detail: I was told that the carpets were due to be replaced anyway (they said they redo them about every five years), and it "just so happened" mine was next. Yet I was still being billed as though the replacement was solely my responsibility. Because no proof was ever provided, and because I know my cats did not cause the issue described, I did not pay the disputed charge. The debt was then sent to collections, which caused a 120-point drop in my credit score in a single month (from ~800 to ~680). I ultimately paid it just to stop the credit damage, but the entire situation felt like a scam to get someone to pay for new carpets. For anyone with pets (even without): I would avoid doing business with Trinity Property Consultants/ReNew Wheaton Center. I believe they are a dishonest and predatory business and dealing with them was like dealing with a dirty car dealership.

She is strict but I feel that it is actually a very refreshing and great thing to have because we knew and felt that the property was kept up well and that we would be heard and taken of very well too. The tenants are her NUMBER ONE PRIORITY! Living here has been great. We have never really had any problems with our unit and any problems we bring to Linda are usually fixed within a 24-hour period. Communication with her is fantastic, and she is always available to listen to our concerns! She is also ALWAYS so warm and fantastic with my 2 kids even when they pester me to visit her office every time we walk past it! She is always willing to put aside time for YOU. If not for the fact that our family is simply getting just too big for the units they offer here, we would probably have continued to stay on. We will truly miss the amazing tenant care and service we have received at Parkside over the last 2 years. We are really going to miss living here. I would HIGHLY recommend this apartment complex to anyone looking for 1 or 2 BR apartments. Prices are very reasonable, staff are amazing, and people are pretty friendly around here too. 5 stars for sure!

( Potentially Relevant Data: Move-in Date: 03/01/2025 Move-in Finished: 03/06/2025 Pathing: Concrete stairs with railways (no elevators) Car Lot: Excess parking + Handicap Reservations Add-Ons: Private Garage/Storage Space Local: Walking proximity to nearby restaurants, grocery stores, entertainment, emergency services, etc. Factors Relevant To Personal Experience: Floor Elevation: Three (3) Building Identifier: "West" Age: 22 Tenant Count: One (1) Tenant Additions: Not bringing any pets ) - Solid rent that does not deviate based on the date of your move (like moving-in in January vs March, some other places will charge more or less depending on the exact date you move-in, and how long you choose to make your lease; Willows of Wheaton does not do that, and appears, at least to my current knowledge, to potentially only offer 12 month leases, which is perfect for me). - Super responsive maintenance, as I unfortunately had already needed to ask for them due to a small issue with the bedroom door not closing and the HVAC system making a weird noise that were both resolved within 24 hours! - Wonderful leasing office staff; they may have more than one person working the leasing office, but I only ever interacted with Lauren, and she is so amazing, super nice, and unbelievably helpful, accommodating, and relatable in any given conversation. I cannot thank her enough for all her help answering questions and getting stuff figured out in general. - The entire complex appears to be a super laid back, quite environment that has a foot of concrete in between each floor, so if you have someone above you, you don't need to worry about any noise they might be making, as you will likely not hear it (though I confess that I am currently on level 3, so I cannot vouch for this fact with 100% certainty, but it was something I asked Lauren about because I didn't want anyone to be bothered by me just walking around in my own place, and at my previous apartment complex, I had someone above me and I could hear every foot step they made lol). - My balcony (medium sized, and is made of concrete, and is designed in such a way so that you generally have privacy from your neighbors) currently faces the woods, so it's a perfect view with a super soft and quiet scenery that will only grow more pleasant when the leaves start to grow back over the next couple months as the spring season begins (I didn't really feel comfortable using my balcony at my last apartment complex because the balcony was made of wood instead of concrete, was semi-small, and I was on the second floor facing the parking lot, so everyone could see me as I sat outside on said balcony, and I just didn't really feel at ease using it). - If your apartment is on level 3, you will have raised ceilings. Overall, I have been having a great experience, and am so thankful for Lauren and the Willows of Wheaton's maintenance team who have both been amazing at their crafts. Can't go wrong with this place.

*** I wasn't bribed with rent discounts or Starbucks gift cards to write this review ***…read more DO NOT RENT at this complex. The rent may look cheap, but you will end up paying hundreds more than you expect. In our experience, it was stressful, disappointing, and not worth the money. - The refundable $700 deposit is in fact non-refundable, and they will charge you extra when moving out. They use cheap materials and want to replace them after every tenant - the tenants are the ones who pay. For instance, the vinyl flooring in the unit was extremely cheap and fragile - normal use caused dents and peeling over time. They are trying to charge us for damages we didn't even cause: around the dishwasher, which they replaced and swapped multiple times with old/damaged units (the dishwasher never worked properly in our unit). And around the refrigerator, which we obviously never moved or installed - it came with the apartment and stayed in the same place the entire time. They are literally replacing the entire floor and charging us for it. - IF YOU ARE ALREADY RENTING: After we gave them the move out notice, we asked for some repairs because it felt like living in a construction zone. They refused but suggested submitting all repair requests two weeks before move-out and said the work would then be done at NO COST TO US. When we did exactly that, they said they would fix everything after we moved out and we would pay for it. So they changed their story and used it as a reason to bill us later. - IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING RENTING HERE: No working AC/heating, low water pressure, and the water goes hot/cold in the shower. No courtesy or grace calls - only warnings, angry notices on the door, or eviction threats (we got an eviction notice the very next day after an autopay error). The "smoke-free" rule doesn't work - people smoke in their apartments because there's no smoking area around the complex. Dog poop left around the property. Laundry costs a fortune. The maintenance team is absolutely fantastic. Strongly recommend looking elsewhere
