PDX Repair - The clothes dryer stopped working! Diagnostics quickly identified the problem!

I asked if he wanted to hear the sound. He did not. I left him to it. 35 or so minutes later, he said that he cleaned debris from the pumps, showed me a shard of glass, and when I listened to it running for a few seconds, the sound seemed to be gone. Great. Then he said it would be $245, his minimum labor charge. That sounded rather steep to me. He lowered it to $220 (after pretending to text a boss, which I don't think he has), but that was still more than I felt was fair for the work he did. The next time I ran a load of dishes the sound was there again. I emailed him, attaching a short video of the noise happening, and he wrote that he would come by to check it out. I asked for times that would work for him, and at that point he stopped replying. After that, I asked for a partial refund. Again, no response. I feel a bit ripped off, paying $220 when the problem wasn't even resolved. So, no, I cannot recommend Davyd/PDX Repair. I suggest looking for a more honorable, experienced appliance repair person, as I will the next time I need one.

I found Henson Enterprises on YELP, and Erick answered my call shortly after I left a message. He could fit us in his schedule 2 days later~ wonderful!! He even sent a text the next day saying he had an opening that day, but I had a medical appt and I couldn't make it happen. We had good communication over text and then during his visit he went above and beyond to fix our problem. I had to work and couldn't be home, but my 24 year old son was at home. He did a great job going through all possible problems and fixed what was broken. He explained every thing throughly and had suggestions on further treatment of our aging system. I am VERY happy to find our new A/C and furnace service!

At the onset of his work, he took so much care in procuring things critical for my water heater installation. This includes trips to the stores and without charging me extra. In addition, although unnecessary, he insulated my heater unit exactly just as I wanted and very neatly beyond my expectations. He invested a great deal of time to ensure things are done proper in order to pass inspection. The result of his work is impeccable and has made me one extremely satisfied customer. He has earned my trust, and therefore I will use him again. To Erik: I appreciate your work; thank you!

I got a washer and dryer needing a dryer not a washer but wanting a matching set. The dryer itself didn't dry all the clothes from the washer unless I put half the clothes in the dryer from the washer. I dealt with that and decided okay that's fine it's not a big deal and then a week or two goes by and the knob, which turned horribly in the first place and dried 4 loads of laundry total with, broke. The owner Mike told me the part to fix it would be more than buying one of his other dryers for $275 that he could sell me right then. I had this dryer maybe a well or two. He blamed us for turning the knob "too hard", which how do you do that, and that there was nothing wrong with it. Then as I was talking to him I said I'm going to buy a new one and am not doing business with him and mid sentence he hung up the phone on me. My husband went in to get our broken dryer because I'd rather throw the thing in the dump than let him keep it. He said if you don't mind cosmetic problems I'll fix it so he "fixed it" but when we got it home guess what the problem wasn't fixed and the dryer is still broken. I went and bought a brand new dryer and what do you know it drys all the clothes from the washer machine. I will never do business with this place again!

I purchased a new Samsung LCD TV that had a manufacturing defect - a part internal to the TV,…read morerequired for installing a customer-provided wall mount bracket, was not installed during LCD panel manufacturing. After a poor experience with another Samsung authorized service provider (there are two in the Portland, Oregon area), I escalated the repair issue to the Samsung Americas CEO office, and Tekniton was assigned to do the repair. From the start, this company was very good (not perfect) at communication. When I told the scheduler that the issue wasn't listed as one of the failure modes on Samsung's website, she indicated that Tekniton would need to send out a technician to confirm the part that needed to be replaced. Technicians called before they came out. One minor communication incident occurred when Tekniton sent an SMS message to my home phone, which can't display SMS messages. Since I'd escalated the repair with Samsung, I received two E-mails from Samsung that the panel was available and that Tekniton was trying to schedule the repair, so I called Tekniton to get the repair scheduled. The repair required two different visits from two different technicians. The first confirmed that the LCD panel needed to be replaced, and informed me that the part was on backorder through Samsung service parts. Three weeks later, when the panel became available to do the repair, a second technician was scheduled. I've dealt with several different appliance repair providers over the past 18 years, and Tekniton is definitely one of the better companies I've worked with.
