This man was my mom's primary care doctor. I went to a visit with her to express my concern that she wasn't doing well. Although he spent time with us, I feel as though the overall treatment my mother recieved was not thorough. He had a nurse call her to schedule a CT scan of the chest after a chest xray was abnormal. Then, when the CT was abnormal, the nurse called my mom once again to say that the CT wasn't normal and she'd need another, more extensive CT. At no point did my mom ever speak to a doctor. He just had the nurse keep calling her to tell her the tests "weren't normal" and that she'd need more tests. My mom was panicked and in the dark. No explanation, no reasoning, no compassion or concern, just had the nurse call. The last time the nurse called to tell my mom she needed another CT (without thorough explanation), the nurse told my mom that her doctor was out of town for two weeks and if she wanted to she could wait and not have the test until after he returned from vacation. To me this is a red flag, and my mom was getting worse. WE decided to take her to a different hospital instead where she was admitted and diagnosed with lung cancer. read more
