As first-time…read morehome buyers, we were navigating a lot of uncertainty, and she made the entire process feel grounded and manageable. She is incredibly knowledgeable about each neighborhood, from the nuances of location to comps and shifting market dynamics. What really stood out was how Yesenia helped us think clearly and never pushed us in any direction, but instead guided us toward defining what our dream home truly looked like. That clarity made all the difference when it came time to act. In a highly competitive and constantly changing market, Yesenia helped us put together a strong, thoughtful offer strategy. Yesenia was patient throughout our months-long search, always responsive, and consistently kind. We genuinely enjoyed working with her-our vibe just clicked from day one. Even after our offer was accepted, her support didn't stop. From contract to close (and even beyond), she was there every step of the way, which meant a lot to us as first-time buyers.

As my wife and I looked to purchase our first home, we were concerned the San Francisco market may be too much for us. Too expensive. Too fast. Too stressful. All of it. Luckily, we connected with Val and the Krishnan team after seeing some of their YouTube videos. Through the use of data, Val showed we could live in the city that means so much to us. Her knowledge of the area seemed so thorough that it gave us the confidence to move forward. By going off-market and showing us a condo that exceeded our expectations, we almost immediately found the home that brought the sense of peace we were searching for. During the whirlwind of stress to acquire it over the next 24 hours after viewing, Val was incredibly responsive and kind. We now have the place of our dreams and Val's efforts could not be understated. We are very appreciative.

This is a cross posting / summary version of the review I wrote for Laus Investment Group, which is…read morethe same group of people as Good Earth Realty (I rented 777 5th Ave, "Good Earth Realty" advertising sign was on the building and "Laus Investment Group" was on the lease). I sincerely hope that you are reading this review BEFORE signing a lease. Based on my experience, the people involved in this business are at best grossly incompetent and at worst purposely manipulative and irresponsible. When my roommate and I moved in, nothing was cleaned, a lot of things were broken, and there was even a dirty ladder left in the room (see photos). Long story short, no one answered the phone number on the lease, Laura Costello (the leasing agent) blamed Kennan Lau (the landlords' son), Kennan blamed Laura, and the landlords did not answer my calls or emails until I threatened to break the lease and sent certified mail of details of the issues with the place. As an aside, Laura said the landlords are very old and don't use email, but turns out the landlords were plenty fine at using email, at least when they wanted money from us: one month when our rent hadn't arrived in their bank account by the second to last day of the month, they emailed us asking about it. My overall impression of Ms. Lau (one of the landlords who became the main point of contact) is that she is very manipulative and stingy. I'll highlight two of the many exchanges we had: - When we first moved in, the apartment was so filthy. We weren't able to get in touch with Ms. Lau until the 3rd day (due to the whole Laura-Kennan blame game) and when we finally got in touch with her, she said that her cleaning lady was too busy to come clean due to COVID-19 increasing demand for cleaning. This was a ridiculous excuse as we know that there was no one occupying the unit for at least 3 weeks before we moved in based on when we viewed the apartment, and it was frustrating that she still didn't prioritize the cleaning. I asked her if we could find our own cleaner and get reimbursed, and she gave us a budget of $80. There is no legitimate cleaner who would clean 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, and a kitchen for $80!!! We eventually haggled to $150 and that amount only covered the kitchen and the bathroom. - We were given only one set of keys for two people on the lease. When I pointed this out to her she said "you can just make a copy" and when I asked her if she would reimburse us for it she answered "it's not a big deal, just do it yourself." The missing set of keys was one of the smallest problems compared to everything else so I let this go, but I think this exchange sheds some light onto how she does business. Time skip to the end of our lease: trying to get our security deposit back. We took photos and videos of the whole place when we moved in so that we couldn't be blamed for any damages that already existed. Ms. Lau tried to blame us for floor scratches, missing curtains, chipped paint, and other damages that already existed when we moved in. I tried to reason with her, showing her the initial condition photos and videos that I took to prove that we did not cause the issues, and then she said, "Look, there's no point in fighting about these details, just tell me how much you think is reasonable for you to pay." After we settled on a number, she found a different way to withhold a lot of the security deposit: a whole years' worth of shared utility bills, and she said she would "waive" the damages fee as if she were being super generous. No one ever billed us while the lease was ongoing, and the shared bills were calculated to be split among the number of occupied units rather than the total number units in the building even though the garbage and shared PG&E would be the same total amount no matter how many units are occupied. With only half of the total units occupied, our portion was insanely expensive. Tldr: Only rent with Laus Investment Group if you are ok with losing your security deposit and paying ridiculous amounts of your time, money, and effort dealing with people!

We knew what we wanted (classic SF character, water views, a walkable and vibrant neighborhood) but had no clear sense of where to find it all or how to think about our budget. We needed more than a real estate agent; we needed someone who could help us find the dream itself. Danielle Lazier at Vivre Real Estate became our buyer's agent, and she was exactly that person. She listened carefully, zeroed in quickly on what would feel like home to us, and brought real clarity to how our budget aligned with home values on the ground. She was direct and always available, without ever making us feel rushed. We found a stunning co-op apartment in Russian Hill with breathtaking views. Danielle's strategic pricing advice helped us craft a winning offer, and her expertise navigating the additional complexities of a co-op transaction was invaluable. She connected us with excellent vendors, guided us through contingencies, and kept us calm through closing. If you're a home buyer trying to navigate San Francisco's uniquely complex real estate market, there is no one more qualified to have in your corner. She turned a vague old dream into our actual home, and we couldn't be more grateful.

We were looking at an apartment rental through them, and as others have commented they clearly don't care about rentals much, not sure why they do them. Probably just one of the services they offer their buyers, but they clearly don't do a particularly good job of helping their buyers find good creditworthy tenants. A particularly disinterested agent showed us a couple condos and, while we had to ask to see the amenities, seemed to just want to be elsewhere. We told them we were ready to settle on a rental within the week, and they insisted we pay and apply, after telling us the owner was willing to go lower on price if we made a decision soon. They weren't willing to go lower on price, so they basically just wasted both our money and our time. We gave them the opportunity to make things right by refunding us for the unnecessary application and wasting our time, but they couldn't care less. Please be aware that they also contact your employer and current landlord that you've listed in the application - I've applied to dozens of apartments over the years and never once had anyone contact my CURRENT landlord (for obvious reasons, you're still living there), or contact my employer after sending your proof of employment and payslips. They manage some nice condos unfortunately, so if you have to deal with them know what you're in for. Suffer through them temporarily for a rental, tr avoid them if buying a place. May be a good idea to start treating your customers like clients instead of criminals.

We applied for a unit, paid the application fees, and were told we were "pre-approved." Their agent, Jam, sent a signed lease and instructed me to wire almost $8,000 in move-in costs. We signed and paid, believing the apartment was nearly ours. The next day, Jam emailed to say the landlord "went with another group." Only then did I realize they had sent leases and collected money from multiple applicants at the same time, with no intention or ability to honor all of them. While they did refund us, it was stressful to have wired thousands of dollars to such a shady business and then have to wait to get the funds back. Also note: California law (AB 2493) makes it illegal to charge nonrefundable application fees without providing written screening criteria and reviewing applications in order received. Kenney & Everest ignored this completely.

I signed a lease through their agency in May and confirmed twice before my July 1 move-in that I could pick up the keys during business hours that day. Despite these confirmations, when I arrived on July 1, I was told that Everest had left the city with my keys. I was asked to return in three hours--while my movers were already waiting on-site at my new apartment. I explained the urgency and was told they couldn't reach him. When I called him myself, he didn't answer. The staff couldn't locate the backup keys, speculating they might be at another office or even in someone's car. One associate eventually gave me the wrong set of keys for the front door, and another showed up at the apartment with a bag of random keys--none of which worked. After waiting two and a half hours, Everest finally returned with the correct keys. Due to their disorganization and negligence, I incurred an additional $540 in moving fees. Although they initially promised to "make it right," they ultimately capped their reimbursement at $333--well below what I actually lost and despite acknowledging their role in the delay. Throughout the entire exchange, Everest--who was copied on all emails--never once acknowledged the issue or offered an apology. After paying an $800 broker fee, I expected more consideration and acknowledgment from the business owner over his role in the mistake, considering his team failed on two basic responsibilities: delivering keys on time and fairly reimbursing for a problem they caused. Apologies are easy; taking responsibility is harder. In my experience, Kenney & Everest chose the former.
