Be really careful coming to this place, Dr. Williams is typically the only man in the building and he has made me very uncomfortable as a minor and an adult. I didn't know at first that he was being unprofessional and inappropriate, but I am not the only one who has had this type of experience. He does NOT give you a gown or leave the room for exams. My last appointment I was sitting on the table clothed, waiting for a shot, and he said "drop your pants." I've noticed most female dermatologists that work here ALWAYS are gone within a few months; I assume he is being inappropriate with them as well. He was extremely rude when I didn't want to be the first person in Utah to take BRAND NEW medication, so I don't think for one second this man cares about his patients. I was naive to what a dermatology appointment was supposed to look like as I'd never been. So when I was not given a gown for my full body skin check, I was super uncomfortable being so exposed but figured this is what it's supposed to be! After being seen by a female dermatologist who provided a gown, privacy to change, and went out of her way to keep me covered, uncovering just the portion of skin being checked, I realized what a completely unprofessional and creepy doctor Dr. Williams is. Dr. Williams is a funny guy, makes jokes all the time that we can't stop laughing about. He talks very fast and might seem little restless (in a rush) sometimes, but he really tries to help. My kids' pediatrician recommended us to him and so far we went to him 3 times. As my insurance doesn't cover any dermatology visit or medicines...he always tries to help us by prescribing something that will be effective but won't cost us an arm and a leg (one time he prescribed a 10g med for my kid, and when I went to the pharmacy to pick it up I was surprised to hear that it will cost me over $900. So when I called his office and left a message, he prescribed me another med that wasn't as costly as the previous one). Dr. Williams is of the most intelligent and efficient dermatologists I have ever seen. He's a no-nonsense kind of guy. He'll get you in and out quickly. He'll tell you to wear your sunscreen so he doesn't have to see you more often than he has to. He loves his cryotorch. He sometimes sings while he injects/cuts/freezes skin lesions. His staff is extremely friendly, and his new location on 7200 S is much more spacious than his original Murray location. He accepts a variety of insurance plans, and offers cosmetic procedures as well. read more

Billing is a NIGHTMARE. We "read them our insurance information wrong", obviously couldn't have been them typing it wrong. Our member ID was missing one And didn't hear there was an error with insurance until after it was too late for them to submit a claim. They offered a self pay discount but when I asked to speak with someone else to figure out why the insurance didn't work, she took the discount away after I asked her a few questions and said this has been an awful experience working with them. I said we will never be returning and she said "Good, we will be happy to never work with you again." She also said she will respond to any negative review online to say how awful I was to work with. Dr. Brian William's has a lot to learn about being professional and courteous. He has only one care in the world...to make money. His lack of compassion and short fuse takes away from his ability as a doctor. I've never been treated so poorly by a doctor in my life. read more

Dr Williams did not even look at my scalp during my visit. Instead, he did the one size fits all approach and prescribed the wrong medication for my condition. I do not recommend this doctor for this reason. He was in a big hurry to get me out of the office, even though it did not appear there were several patients waiting for him. I have since found a dermatologist that actually listened to me and prescribed the correct treatment for my condition. read more

Wish every doctor learned how to be just like Brian Williams, MD! I had been feeling like my hair was falling out for a little over a year. After getting poo-pooed by two other doctors who thought I was imagining things, Dr. Williams was recommended. It never occured to me to see a dermatologist for hair loss, so I'm glad someone else mentioned it. Super friendly receptionist when I called who was glad to accomodate a same-day-appointment request. They offer for you to come in a little early to fill out paperwork(typical) or print it off at home from their website and bring it with you. Kind of cool! When I met Dr. Williams, I was blown away by how charismatic and friendly he is. I immediately felt at ease. After we talked about what I thought the problem was, he looked at my hair and scalp, and agreed I had a hair loss problem. He recommended a blood test, but also spent quite a bit of time talking to me about protein and proper nutrition, that he thought may have been a contributing factor. On a second visit, I met Stacie, the nurse practioner- she seems really dedicated too. The whole situation is just really highly recommended!! read more

My mother visited this doctor because of recommendations. My mom's main concern was a spot that looked exactly like a spot which turned out to be melanoma (her second). As soon as she mentioned it he burns it off and does so before she can even react. No biopsy, just burned it off. When questioned about how she can know if it's a melanoma or not he replied with "If it grows back it can be tested". What?!? Grows back?? Does he even know how melanoma works? Excellent dermatologist that I have been going to for several years. Getting an appointment is easy as you are not waiting for months to see him. Unlike many doctors who seem in a hurry, Dr. Williams takes time to explain what he is doing and various skin conditions. He has a pleasant personality that puts you at ease. Dr. William's is quick and to the point. He knows his stuff. I have been battling what I though was psoriasis, and found out it is something else. He knew the exact shampoo and ointment to prescrip within a few seconds of looking at my scalp and ears. I was originally referred for a biopsy to rule out Pagets, and his staff did great on keeping me calm for the numbing needle (which was not painful at all). He did a quick biopsy, and stitched me up and gave me recommendations on shampoos and different methods to help in between medication. He was quick and efficient, if any advice, I would say maybe he asks more questions on the history or issues. Other that he was great! read more

Don't go to him, he was horrible!! I had a pre-cancerous growth and he did a small treatment on it that ended up getting seriously infected. After going back numerous times for a remedy, which none of them worked, I finally had to go to a different doctor who treated the infection immediately. He talks extremely fast and hurried through the entire procedure, making me feel like he wants to just cram as many people as possible into his day. My appointment was close to the lunch hour, and he was boasting to me how many patients he had already seen that morning. read more

I am 117 pounds and 5'6." No one has ever called or made me feel fat in any way... except for Dr. Brian Williams. I went to him to get some moles checked out, since skin cancer runs in my family. When he lifted the robe to check out my stomach, he exclaimed "Whoa! What happened to your stomach?" Shocked by his question, I didn't know what to say other than..."I had four children." Clearly Dr. Williams is young and naive and doesn't feel it is important to treat patients with respect. Shame on him! read more

I trust Dr. Williams. The moment I walked into his office, he noticed redness on my scalp, which was one of the reasons I went to him, but I didn't initially disclose it. He also identified a cancerous melanoma on my face and caught it in time before it became a big issue. He knows his stuff. While he talks quickly, I felt like he spent quality time with me answering my questions and walking me through what to expect. I recommend him to my friends. Dr Williams is as good as it gets!!! I've been going to him for over ten years. I go in twice a year as me and my family love the sun. He is quick and get it done quick. His humor is great and when he sees me he's got his bottle already with him to start on any spots that he's uneasy about. Most importantly when he sends biopsies out he calls you personally to explain the results which We think is awesome. I actually changed my insurance company as when we switched insurance I didn't notice our new insurance wasn't in his network. The following year I made sure our new insurance covered Dr. Williams! I had to have some skin grafts performed and Dr Williams hooked me up with an awsome plastic surgeon. Can't thank him enough! He's a no nonsense kind of guy and he doesn't waste time and is constantly on the move. This doctor basically called me fat. Not only that, he asked ME what type of procedure he should use to remove some moles. I have no experience or medical training so when i opted for a hole punch, i had no clue what that entailed. He hit a blood vessel and ended up having to cauterize the "hole" and complained about "so much fat." I have several medical conditions that have caused weight gain. He was totally out of line mentioning anything like that, and telling me to make decisions about my care when i have no point of reference. I'm disappointed.. I already had anxiety when coming in to this office to have a few things removed from my body. I assumed they were cysts.. What's good is that Dr Williams was direct he doesn't waste time but he was abrasive and unprofessional in my experience.. I even told him I was extremely anxious and nervous. Yes he's skilled but he had me expose my full breast when it was unnecessary. I was already uncomfortable because one of the cysts were on my breast but on the underside of it.. I didn't want it exposed and he said when I was trying to cover myself, "well it doesn't matter now, you might as well just let it go"...so I sat there with tears in my eyes and frustration in my whole being feeling extremely uncomfortable..I even said I'd rather not... That didn't stop him from exposing me anyway.. yes his assistant was in there the whole time as well. I just don't like to be exposed. Also when it was time to remove the sutures he didn't remove them... he had his assistant do it (which is fine) though she asked him about it and said is this a suture? ... and he said oh that's only a hair (with a chuckle)..Then they used a steri-strip to hold my leg together and said to me, "Just leave that on till it falls off." Well, As I was walking that day.. it broke and my leg started bleeding. I just quickly cleaned the area and put on a strong band-aid to keep it covered and as time went on I continued to cover it and put ointment on it because it wasn't healing and each day after turned into a week then 2...It just isn't healing... (I do take responsibility for not going back but I just don't feel comfortable to do so)... I was thinking I better go back to ask what is happening to my leg..(I have a new Dr now that is taking care of it) and as I looked at it closer I realized that they did indeed leave a suture in my leg and still weeks later my leg isn't healed.. I will Not go to them again. My experience was not pleasant or comfortable and because of their unprofessional-ism, they lost a patient. read more
