5 stars are definitely not enough! I feel extremely fortunate to have found Dr. Gurinsky. Having been diagnosed with a genetic predisposition to periodontal disease in the early 80's, I had incredible care in the Washington, DC area for 10 years before coming to Denver in the early 90s. I went to three perios in the Denver area over 20 years. The last one that I was with for ten years wanted to pull all of my teeth. I got as far as the consultation with the prosthetic dentist, then decided I needed a second opinion. Enter Dr. Gurinsky. He has been exceedingly thorough, discussing all options with me, sharing new research and procedures, offering solutions to help me continue feeling confident in smiling, plus he's a really nice person. After 6 years under his care I still have all my teeth... well except one, just recently. During a regular office visit and routine x-ray he discovered I was experiencing tooth resorption of a molar. Fortunately I have never had a cavity in my life, so this came as quite a shock. He sent me to a dentist for a second opinion and there was no doubt, it had to be removed. The extraction, while stressful mentally, was painless and quick. The implant was scheduled out several months. In the meantime I was diagnosed with an allergy to gold. I informed Dr. Gurinsky and Tammy of this, and they got me a sample of an implant to patch test, which was no easy task. Turns out I was allergic to that implant. The implant appointment was postponed and Tammy exhaustively worked with several other companies to get samples of their products. I cannot thank them enough for their knowledge, professionalism, care, diligence, and honesty. While certainly not the worse of maladies, ailments of the mouth can be quite challenging in many ways. It's certainly comforting to have someone extremely competent and personable there for you. read more

I would highly recommend Dr. Gurinsky. Prior to seeing Dr. Gurinsky, I had already undergone three rounds of gum grafting. I was diagnosed with severe recession in the majority of my mouth at the age of 23. The three procedures I had were extremely painful and anxiety provoking and I was terrified to undergo yet another round. Upon meeting Dr. Gurinsky I was very impressed with his bed side manner. He was so kind and understanding, as well as patient and informative. He explained my condition to me and what was needed to fix my gums. He was very professional and I felt like I could trust him. I explained my past experiences to him and he said that he would never repeat the outdated and painful procedures that had been performed on me previously. The day of the procedure he was quick and caring. I could tell that my comfort was important to him. Healing was very quick and surprisingly painless this time around which was a huge welcome shock. With my past procedures the only way I could get through the healing process was to take a Percocet ever four hours and combine it with Tylenol every other two hours. After Dr. Gurinsky's procedure I took one Percocet the entire time. Dr. Gurinsky was very personable and easy to talk to and I never felt rushed being in his office. read more

After 10 years of chronic pain, a crown, and a failed root canal I decided to have a tooth extracted and an implant placed. Xrays showed a dark spot under the tooth indicating a constant low level infection. Dr. Gurinsky did the extraction, bone graft, and implant. The extraction was the worst part of it all. I experienced a small amount of pain that was easily handled with ibuprofen. I was placed on anti-biotics after the extraction. Since then, the constant gum pain has gone away. Six months later Dr. Gurinsky placed the implant. I experienced a slightly higher degree of pain likely associated with remnants of the gum infection. Dr. Gurinsky prescribed a second round of anit-biotics. I have now been pain free for over a year! Neither my dentist or Dr. Gurinsky has any idea what caused the original abcess and infection. I'm just happy to finally be pain free! Gurinsky was prompt, professional, the implant placement was perfect despite this case had added complications of the abcess. I continue to recommend Dr. Gurinsky to my friends and family. read more

Dr. Gurinsky is a superb periodontist who was highly recommended by my dentist. He always takes the time to answer my questions and make sure that I have all of the information that I need. He did reconstructions on my receding gums on both sides (1 year apart) using tissue from the roof of my mouth. It all healed very well and I am happy with the result. I am glad for the reconstruction he did not use allograft (donated human transplant tissue) because that does not heal as well as using your own tissue (autograft). Dr. Gurinsky called me on the Saturday, one day after my procedure just to check up on me. He truly cares about his patients. As I had the procedures right after Thanksgiving for each year, I was hoping the pain would lead me to lose some weight over the holiday seasons. Nope. The pain just was not that bad. He said the roof of my mouth would feel like a pizza burn. I would say a mild pizza burn. Dr. Gurinsky is an excellent specialist and I highly recommend him if you need to see a periodontist. read more

Prior to having any dental or medical procedures done, I always do a background check on the doctor. When I found out that Dr. Gurinsky graduated near the top of his class, and that one of his professors said he was the most talented periodontal students he had ever worked with, I knew I had found the right doctor. I have had 2 implants with Dr. Gurinsky, as well as a sinus lift. In the area where one of the implants was placed, there was very little bone. Dr. G was very upfront and honest about the possibility that the implant might not "take". Well 5 years later it is still holding strong. He always called me after each procedure, and was great about explaining everything and answering all of my questions. My husband has had several procedures done by Dr. Gurinsky as well. Although he is not fond of having anything done-dental or medical, he actually had good experiences with each visit. That in my book makes Dr. G a miracle worker! I would highly recommend Dr. Gurinsky for any and all periodontal procedures. read more

I highly recommend Dr. Brian Gurinsky. He performed a tooth extraction and dental implant for me, and I could not be happier with the care I received. Dr. Gurinsky is extremely knowledgeable, skilled, and professional. He took the time to explain the procedure, answer my questions, and make sure I was comfortable throughout the process. His bedside manner is excellent, and he genuinely cares about his patients. What impressed me most was his coordination with my regular dentist to ensure I had an Essix retainer with a temporary tooth during the healing process. The communication between providers was seamless, which made the entire experience much less stressful and allowed me to maintain a normal appearance while healing. The procedure went smoothly, and the quality of his work was outstanding. this practice is what every medical practice should strive for. I had my first major oral surgery here and from my initial consultation through to today - almost a week after it's been amazing. Dr. Gurinksy alleviates the nerves of even the most anxious patient ( ME) and his staff supports him so well with their knowledge and understanding of the fears and anxiety that come with the idea of dental procedures. If he was incredible and didn't have a staff so committed to customer service, his skills would be wasted. Gentleness, humor and expertise are essential for dental treatment! This office has it all and more...... magazines worth reading, and a sweet receptionist to boot. I had to take my "Chamber of Horrors" to Dr. Gurinsky for consultation and treatment. I would rather a face lift than a sinus lift, but one was necessary and the other wasn't.... not quite. My treatment was very successful. The end result came more quickly than I had imagined and poof..... I don't need to return. I thoroughly recommend this practice. If you HAVE to go to a periodontist, this is the one you want in Denver! Dr. Gurinsky has a fantastic touch even when it comes to those awful shots prior to surgery or other signicant dental work. He works with you, communicates what's going on/what to know super effectively, and I feel like I'm in really great hands when I'm in his chair. His staff is terrific and they have wonderful team work. They even have 2 free parking spaces in an otherwise not-all-that-parking-friendly (though very convenient downtown) location. I have to tell you that I had so much anxiety about a needed tooth extraction. Dr. Gurinsky and his team were professional, supportive, informative, and QUICK (the best part when you're having a tooth pulled). Funny enough, I now have nothing but positive things to say about having a tooth extraction and bone graft. I had gained a new insurance Carrier just prior to my second visit .Tammy the Office Manager listened for ten minutes as I detailed the problems this could present for me. She then researched these for me and called me back with answers.That saved me hours of time. I had a question after surgery which she answered . I have been seeing Dr. Gurinsky since he started practicing in Denver in 2003. He did a gum graft on me. He was extremely professional, explained to me what would happen before, during and after the procedure, made sure someone was there to pick me up and insisted to assisting me to the car. And i must say it is a great place, work is quite affordable, the students and staff are very friendly. Gum Grafts, implants and the sort can be very scary. But not with Dr. Gurinsky. We now know that gum disease can be very aggressive if not treated, or addressed early.
