Brian's the only guy I go to with my tennis racquet. Period. Keep in mind, stringing racquets is not his full-time gig. It's more of a hobby. And he does all his work from his home. But with all the folks he knows in the Marin County tennis community, I bet he could easily turn this string job into a prosperous small business.
Brian's turnaround time is astonishingly fast. If I give him a racquet on Tuesday afternoon, he'll have it ready for me by Wednesday morning. And he's very reasonably priced. Depending on the type of strings you want, it's usually no more than $30 (compared to $40 - $50 at some local tennis shops). To be perfectly honest, I have little knowledge about what weight to string my racquet at, and the difference between synthetic strings and gut. I just give my racquet to Brian, and he just knows what to do. And that's perfectly fine by me!
Let's face it, you're tennis game is only as good as the equipment you use. If you don't properly maintain your racquet, you're at a huge disadvantage. After all, you wouldn't take your car to a lousy mechanic, right? So why would you not take your tennis gear to a total pro? Brian Fraim is as good as it gets. I'd highly recommend his service (no pun intended) to all my tennis playing friends. He's an ace! read more
