Based on reviews I see here, I am sure Dr. Brian Park is a lovely doctor, but I wouldn't know - I never got to see him. My doctor retired and all my files were transferred to this office. When I called I asked and re-asked to confirm that my insurance was accepted before making an appt because it's been an issue with my particular plan in the past. I was told that it was, but apparently an assumption was made instead of it being checked and confirmed. I arrived for my appointment to discover that my insurance is in fact not accepted. I am a busy working single mother with a finely balanced schedule. I have little to no spare time. I currently have health problems causing me to need to go to a doctor. I took time off work for this, trekked all the way uptown from where I live and work...for nothing. And now instead of having an appointment to tend to my health, I missed half a day of work, am starting over and will need to take even more time off from work. Shame on the office attendant who 'helped' me. I received an apology but no compassion. She got angry at me for being upset, but I have every right to be. This office should work to better train their staff to give accurate information or to confirm information instead of making assumptions. It affects people more than they seem to understand and I cannot gain back the time that I lost due to this. read more

Just delivered my first baby with Dr. Park and I can't say enough good things about him. He is knowledgeable, caring and CALM. Any "minor" issues that came up during my pregnancy he made sure I didn't get overly concerned/stressed for no reason (not an alarmist like many when it comes to things prenatal). The women in his office became like aunties to me... so friendly and were even willing to call a bakery for me with my gender results so I could have a cake-reveal :). When I went into labor - which was a 3 day process - he was responsive all day and night, even though he delivered 3 other babies that weekend. He also did my son's circumcision which I was nervous about. Baby didn't cry and it healed before his first doctor checkup! The pediatrician couldn't believe it. Anyway, great guy, great doctor, great staff. If there is a baby #2 I will certainly deliver with Dr. Park again. read more

Just like all the other reviewers for Dr. Park, I had the best experience with him delivering my baby girl. He is knowledgeable, kind, patient and goes out of his way to make sure I am comfortable every step of the pregnancy. I had to change OB at 20 weeks (my old OB stopped taking my insurance) so I was already nervous getting a new OB this late but the first thing Dr. Park said was that he will take good care of me. He also calmly told me about his experience (20 something years delivering babies at Lenox Hill). I immediately felt at ease. I had a scheduled c section and Dr. Park was at the hospital when he said he would be, even though he started working that day at 2am with another patient. The c section went exactly as he said it would, took about 10 mins to get the baby out and I was out of the OR 30 mins after that. I delivered on Friday and he came in on Saturday and Sunday to check on me and the baby. I am so grateful that he was my OB, he is a delight to have as a Doc. And his entire staff is so sweet, they are very encouraging and gave me a hug on my last appointment before delivery to wish me luck and I never had to wait long for each appointment. If I have another baby, he will be delivering that baby as well!! read more

This doctor is a thief. He called me in explaining 'something was wrong' with my annual pap. When I presented for the follow-up, he couldn't even tell me what he saw that was so terribly wrong. His office billed my insurance 'incorrectly' and now I get phone calls saying I have to dish out $250-for an exam he couldn't even explain! I've been calling my insurance and his office back and forth, with his secretaries telling me they cannot help. I work in health care and these kinds of fraud happen all the time. Just delivered my second child and it was another successful run. He is the same doctor from the 86th street location he just moved offices to 60th street. Dr park and his staff are always nice and are accommodating to any appointments. Dr Park is knowledgable but has no ego and provides his patients with reassurance. I recommend avoiding this doctor. I saw Dr. Park for the first and last time for an annual and an ongoing benign issue late 2009. Despite the convenient upper east location, the office itself was dark, unhygienic and cluttered. Reception/Nurse was sterile and curt and something about the decor just came off dingy. The set up/proximity and use of the bathroom and exam room and doctor's office allowed little privacy and was very awkward and the bathroom was industrial and sterile as well. For my urinalysis, the nurse asked me to leave my specimen in the bathroom w/tissue over it, then allowed someone else to use the bathroom right after me, but BEFORE she collected my specimen! Questionable standards and practices didn't stop there, even worse, the 'exam room' was a mess. They had obviously just moved in because the room was fairly large and housed an old refrigerator (I'm not kidding) , a lot of half-packed boxes with things like old mirrors, wall hangings, old medical devices and unused carts all from another era and everything was covered with dust and just needed not to be in my exam room. It was so much stuff it took up half the room. When beginning the exam it felt as if the doctor mishandled the speculum and it pinched or punctured me - this wasn't swabbing or cell scraping, it was completely different. He performed other routine procedures seemingly fine and gave me a prescription for my initial issue. Their CC machine wasn't working and the nurse/receptionist acted as if it I should've known and been prepared with cash which I didn't have - my copay was only $15 or $25! She made a big deal about having to send me a bill and emphasizing the need for me to pay it. The next morning I woke up with swollen lymph nodes around my vagina and guessed it was a result of that bizarre puncture feeling during my exam, luckily they went pretty quickly w/some antibiotic. My main gripes were the unsanitary conditions, the lack of privacy (my specimen) and what could've been a more serious infection from a routine exam. The positives were, I found the doctor to be patient, good bedside manner, listened and spent a lot of time with me. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Park for 11 years. He is in a class of his own!!! Dr. Park is knowledgeable, kind, patient, and available when you need him. Can you name any other doctor that lists his cell phone number on his business card, so you can contact him at any time??? If you leave a message for him, he will call you back himself within hours. And he always listens, takes time with you, and makes you feel like you are in good hands. This is NOT a guy who talks AT you - you have two way conversations and are HEARD. I started coming to him when a girlfriend recommended him - she had two perfect babies with him, so I was sold. I am now having my first baby in his care, and I am so comforted that I have a doctor I trust - one less thing to stress about! I had to undergo special surgery while under his care and he referred to me top specialists who made me good as new. In my annual visits, he has always been efficient diligent with follow-ups. His new office on E60th is really convenient for me. I cannot say enough about Dr. Park!!!! read more

Dr Park has been my OBGYN for the past 20 years. He managed my pre kids health for more than 10 years and seemlessly transitioned into baby mode when I was ready to get pregnant. He delivered both my sons, one five weeks early and the other at term. Both experiences were top notch in terms of the care and service he provide to me, my husband and my babies. Post babies, he continues to manage my care with the upmost concern and respect. Dr Park is the most compassionate, skilled and determined Doctor with the best bed side manner of any doctor I have had experience with. He always listens to any concerns or questions I might have and provides answers and comfort along with any necessary service. He makes himself available for his patients during and after office hours. His staff is extremely friendly and caring and have always gone above and beyond. They are all like family. I have seen Dr Park for over 5 years and I'd give him 10 stars if I could. He is very polite and understanding. He is very thorough and always makes made me feel at ease. He followed my first pregnancy and he was fantastic the whole 9 months. He delivered my beautiful and healthy baby boy 2 years ago and I couldn't be more satisfied. I have since moved out of the city and has been a bit more difficult to get to his offices but now that I'm planning for baby #2 I wouldn't even think about changing to a different doctor. I wish I could give negative stars if I could! Thank goodness this Dr didn't deliver my child! So I was referred to him by my good friend and I went to see him. He was friendly in the beginning until I had an issue with my insurance. Before I went to see him I called to see which insurance he accepts so I can see him. So I got the insurance that he accepts and started seeing him. The problem started when I had to go get my check up at the hospital. (This was when I was close to 20 or 24 weeks pregnant). I called Lenox and found out that they didn't accept my insurance so I called my insurance company and they told me because I was so far into my pregnancy they will pay for my delivery at the hospital. They told me all I needed was for Dr to fill out this one simple form! I called and called the Dr numerous times and literally begged him to fill the form out! HE REFUSED!!!!! I called the office and the secretary told me to go find another dr! When I confronted the dr.. he was silent and all he said was he didn't know why he didn't fill it out. Just wish no other pregnant women would go through what I went through. read more

First, Dr Park is family. True story-27 years ago I delivered a premature baby at Lenox Hill hospital. Had no clue who the delivery doctors were. 5 years later I was looking for a GYN doctor picked Dr Park name literally out of the Insurance book. First meet I was discussing my history and brought up the birth and how I yelling for my father.....and he remembered me LOL. I have followed this man 25 years to every site and office and I will continue. My whole entire family and friends go to see him and love him. I remembered when he thought he was retiring.....I cried like a baby. Refused to see the doctor he referred me too. When He personally called me to tell me he reconsidered and the new site address--I was in his office the next day. I had surgery 5 years ago and he walked across my hospital threshold with cookies to visit me. He is not only a great doctor...he is an exceptional human being. read more
