Any parent of a child who has attention and focusing issues will know that it's not easy to get the child to sit and practice music and actually see significant progress. The beautiful sound from a grand in a studio may just give an edge to my son wanting to be able to master the instrument. That story was given to me 3 more times for 9 months. He was always working on guitars when I would drop in to check progress on mine. Even told me a story about a guitar he just got in and was working on that had to get fixed for a client asap which at that point he had my guitar for 9 months. When I said WTF? he promised me he would start on mine tomorrow! My guitar never got fixed. The concerning thing is our parting conversation. He was super nice and apologetic but didn't understand how telling me 4 times it would get done and not doing it after 9 months wasn't ok.

The music classes kept our kids interested and makes learning fun, my kids have been in the group classes and continuing on to private piano lessons now at age of 14 and 12. Miss Laurie the piano teacher is especially great, she works closely with kids and chooses songs that enhance and improve their skills in a fun fashion. In the age of cell phone games and YouTube shorts, it is a blessing that my kids have a hobby that is harmonious to their mind and joyful to grow on.
