For day camp, the dogs get two, hour and half play periods (separated by size) which might not be enough if you have a young dog with a lot of energy, but of course it's better than nothing. Camp spaces can fill up really fast; one of my biggest gripes with this place is that you really need to book in advance - especially for Friday spots. If your schedule stays the same and you know it in advance, then it shouldn't be a problem for you. However, that isn't the case for my husband and I. Because we need to book week by week, we are often unable to use Petsafe for day camp and have to use a different place. As for boarding, there's no where else I'd rather leave my dog for a weekend or long trip. Again, the rooms are really nice and they offer lots of different options, with add-ons like special treats. I love the webcam for checking in on my pup too. One thing I don't like is that there is no camp on the weekend, so no interaction or play time with other dogs. I usually pay extra for my dog to have a VIP season aka one on one time with the attendant so he doesn't get too bored. I also don't like that you can't call on the weekends to see how your dog is doing. In general, the phone system is so bad there that often you have to call multiple times before you get through. It is easily my biggest frustration with the place. Finally, the groomer is great. She's given my dog the best hair cuts he's ever gotten. So overall, you can expect to have a good experience here. I know my dog loves it and I know he's in good hands whether I'm at work for the day or traveling for the week.

This is a GLORIFIED SHELTER. It wasn't at all what we were expecting and we actually feel pretty guilty for leaving our two puppers here. We definitely won't be bringing them back. We got the "Luxury Suite" and requested they be given toys for their stay (you click the options when you use their obligatory curbside pick up. You are not allowed inside to see where your dog is staying. This was a RED FLAG I wish I'd paid more attention to). We used the Live Webcam sporadically through their stay and saw they were never given any toys! None! Not for nearly two days! They just laid there, bored out of their minds. I'm not sure how they are selling the "luxury" part of this scam, either; your dog is staying in a shelter-like kennel, surrounded by other dogs. Potty breaks are very spaced out (5 hours apart) and minimal--they weren't let out after 4:00 PM!! I am completely flabbergasted at the services offered, their stay in no way reflected what we were led to believe our pups would experience. We got our pups back and it was clear they'd also had minimal human contact the entire time we were gone; we watched on camera during pick up as they went crazy for attention when someone came to pick them up (not at all characteristic of them). They stank like a shelter and have diarrhea and are exhausted from not sleeping (surrounded by constant barking the whole time, just like in a shelter). It's as if we took them to the Animal Shelter for the weekend, not the resort-style experience we thought we were purchasing for our fur babies. Our dogs were there for less than 48 hours and it cost us almost $250!!! We were quoted a price MUCH lower when we dropped them off and they didn't apply our veteran discount, even though we discussed it on the phone. USE ROVER.

On top of that because my puppy was still young and hadn't had all of her shots she wasn't able to be around the other dogs at their facility (which was a good sign to me because jt showed they really care about the health and safety of all the animals they board) so they arranged for one of their staff members (Erica, who was also amazing) to watch our puppy at her own home and train her. What I love most about Pets R People 2 is that the dogs are out all day and never confined (except while eating). My dog is a 2-year-old terrier mix with a ton of energy. I've brought him to the other day camps where they only get 3 hours of off leash play and it's really not enough to wear him out. But he is ALWAYS wiped after a day at Pets R People 2. Other things I love: - The staff is super nice and friendly, and they learn your dog and their preferences very quickly. - They post photos of the dogs to Instagram which always makes my day while I'm at work. - They're super flexible -- I'm able to book daycare one day in advance if I need to. Other camps don't always have the availability. - It's super easy to contact them -- they respond quick to email and always answer the phone. I rescued my girl, Ruby, in December 2018. Ruby had been adopted once and returned to the shelter…read morebefore she picked me out of the people who were looking at her. We got off to a pretty good start at home. House training was quick and basic "sit" and "down" commands came fairly easily to her. Ruby is a Lab/Pit mix and I mistakenly diagnosed as aggression what actually was resource guarding. I've had dogs constantly for over 30 years and have done pretty well with basic training on my own, but this whole resource guarding thing was new to me and I knew that I needed real help by someone who understood Miss Ruby. I am so thankful that I met Scottie Greene. His approach of training the trainer, as well as the dog, was exactly what Ruby and I both needed. I used to have to keep her on a 30 foot lead rope when we went outdoors at home, to give her room to have a little bit of freedom to play. Now, she gets to go outside and run full speed ahead with no lead and without the e-collar. She loves being able to run freely and I love seeing her happy. I can now take Ruby anywhere with me and she behaves like a perfect dog. (I may be a bit biased, but I'm convinced that she IS a perfect dog!) Ruby's last training class was at a restaurant with Scottie and his wife Karrie and 2 of my best friends. With the exception of our group and the waiter, I don't think that anyone else in the restaurant even knew that Ruby was under the table. We have since gone on to get Ruby certified as an AKC CGC and Urban CGC dog. I can't say enough good things about Scottie, Karrie, and Sandra. They are all top notch trainers. My background is in Vet Med - I've been a licensed Vet Tech for 30+ years, working in specialty medicine and academia. So I know the questions to ask, and I did A LOT of research before landing on VVet. I had just moved to the area and knew no one!! They came recommended to me when I started researching and asking other colleagues, "Who do you know in the Knoxville area that is at a great general practice?" This clinic came up a few times, and a few names were dropped. So I read up on the doctors' names given and chose Dr. Dugan. I've had all three of my pets seen there. The first was my soul dog, Ember, who had CKD (chronic kidney disease). She was the reason I needed to find a practice ASAP when I arrived here. She required monthly evaluations and more frequent ones at the end. Dr. Dugan was patient with me, the high detail very stressed Moma. She and her team did almost everything in the room with me. She was gentle with my kids, got down on the ground to ease their anxiety, and gave me time for all my many questions. Her assistants were also gentle and nice. When the worst day of my life came, I wanted to spend the day with my girl and schedule the euthanasia at the end of the day. I was told she unfortunately wouldn't be available at that time, but another doctor could fit me in that evening. I, of course, had to accept that fact because I wanted that time with her that day, but knew it couldn't wait over the weekend. But when I arrived, she and her assistant had made themselves available. Knowing my girl wouldn't have to see an unfamiliar face meant the world to me. They were both kind and compassionate and were willing to accommodate my requests of not coming into the clinic to perform the euthanasia, so we could stay outside in a familiar setting my dog loved (in the car). It was raining, and they still did it!! This is a 5-star service! Since then, my boys (cat and dog) have both needed some care, and each time the service has been great! I had to use Dr. Morrison for one urgent visit, and she, too, was patient and caring with my pup. I'm glad they were recommended to me for general care.
