As you can tell by my check-ins, I'm pretty much a regular of this bar now. I wanted to update my original review with information that I know now that I didn't originally. They do not serve food at all. However, they do allow you to bring in food from other restaurants and eat there or to have it delivered to the location. I like my bars dark and lit mostly by neon, so I've stayed pretty much in the basement area of the bar. The basement portion is generally the only section open during the weekdays and Sundays. The upper level and the Tiki Bar is open in the evenings on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. However, as the weather is getting nicer, they are opening up the outdoor area more and leaving the basement closed. The staff here is all wonderful, I've only had bad service once and it was a busy night, sitting upstairs and it was a waitress, not the bartenders. The music is mostly satellite radio and the Juke Box. They do have DJ's, Bands and Karaoke depending on the night of the week. Since there is a diverse crowd that goes here, you get some strange mix of music coming over the juke box. One night we went from the Pet Shop Boys to Slipknot. They have a mug club available for regulars. You get a customized mug and the have specials that are exclusive to mug club members. It's still a pain in the but to get into their parking lot. I haven't found an easier way to get their other than cutting through parking lots of surrounding businesses. read more

I haven't been there in a long time so I won't comment on any of their services other then the service I just received via the phone with one of their staff. I called in regards to an inquiry about the Live Music they have advertised on their website(that I navigated to via Yelp). The lady who answered the phone answered it after only a few rings and was very pleasant over the phone. She greeted me and asked if there was anything she could help me with. I said yes, I was hoping to inquire about their live music scene and if they had an open mic or stage or something of that nature? She answered that though, they have had live music in the past; unfortunantly as of now, the live music scene currently lies dormant. She(the worker who answered my call) was astutely courteous, professional and helpful! I wish I could remembered her name so she can get recognized for her customer service but that's it! That's my experience, so far, just over the phone but by-golly professionalism and customer integrity should be recognized and appreciated! read more

This place used to be a hidden gem, but the new staff has really brought it down (and that's being nice). The manager's customer service is nonexistent and I don't know why anyone would think she was fit to oversee their business. A shame to have to write a review like this about a place I made a lot of memories at previously - all because of poor staffing choices. read more

This is a great bar to go in warm months as they have a tiki patio bar iut there. A good bar for Rockford and service was friendly and screens huge in this place. There is one pool table and they have a stage I guess for live events. A good place . read more

Loud and belligerent clientele is the top negative, hair band music blaring is next. Don't go if you're interested in watching a game because every tv is placed in the worst spots possible. Horrible bar. read more

I have visited this bar several times and some bartenders are great others not so much. The bar manager is not friendly and very unprofessional and doesn't treat customers or her staff very well she is very rude and unprofessional it has a lot of potential the bar but the bar manager seems to not care what so ever .. I think under new management this bar could be a great place as the food is good and a fun atmosphere....it's a shame to see such a Rockford lamndmark such as brewskys that has been around for so long being run into the ground by poor management and would hate to see it close as I have a lot of good memories and remember how much fun it used to be read more

This is a pretty good bar. MAKE SURE YOU TRY THE WOODCHUCK THATS ON TAP. I love cider and Woodchuck is great. I went there for the first time on Halloween and the upstairs was open. It was a lot of fun and there were a lot of people there. They have a great special that is a list of beers and a list of shots and you pick one of each for $5. The only downside was that the music the DJ was playing was pretty crappy. I was ready to dance and this guy is playing the Bohemian Rhapsody. There was popular music being played that night. The next time I went there was a weekday and only the downstairs was open. A Blackhawk game was on so everyone was really into that but it was still a good time. read more

I can't believe I didn't write a review a year ago! I contacted Brewskys about throwing a surprise party for my best friend's birthday. I'm not from Rockford and I didn't know the area so finding a venue was a pretty interesting task. But everyone I spoke to at Brewskys was so nice and accommodating, I knew it was the place! They were very helpful with helping me be able to set the thing up and the bartenders, DJ and entire staff were all so good to our large party! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun night out or a venue for a party in Rockford. 5 stars for sure! read more

They have fantastic food, but their service is terrible. We have went in twice in the last month on Wednesday nights and we won't be back. Have one waitress work the place clearly doesn't work. We started the evening with Emily and I'm not sure what was going on with her but she came back to the table 3 times telling us she would transfer our tab over to Jenna since she was leaving. I believe she wanted us to cash out our tab so that she'd get tipped, we'll we'd just gotten there and each had only one beer on our tab and had we not overheard her complaining to another table that she won't get her tips now that people aren't cashing out their tabs with her we would have just given her cash. Jenna was wonderful to begin with but then it got busier and she just couldn't keep up with the amount of people she was expected to wait on. We received our food in a timely manner but that was only because someone else brought the food out to us. When we were done eating one of the people we were dinning with had about 6 of his wings left and Jenna came back to the table and asked if they were "gross" which he replied they weren't he was just full and would like a box please. She left and over an hour later we still hadn't received a box and the same gentleman that brought our food asked if he was done with the wings and he said yes he was an hour ago and at this point just throw them away. It was a VERY long wait to get drinks and our tab at the end of the night. When beers were brought to our table they were just sat down with an attitude. I'm sure it was just out of frustration because she clearly needed more help but it wasn't our fault and shouldn't have been treated that rude. This was just the last visit the time before wasn't much better. I think that maybe having another server for the patio on Wednesday nights would be a good idea since clearly it gets busy and one person can't keep up. We'll be going somewhere else for Wing Wednesday from now on. read more
