After filling up in Las Cruces, and riding to Ruidoso and Capitan (which is a beautiful ride btw),…read moreI was showing about 35 mikes left on my range gauge when I arrived in Carrizozo. I was thankful to find this fueling station in the middle of nowhere (no disrespect Carrizozo as I'm sure you have some really fine citizens and businesses ... but you really are in the middle of nowhere). I was pleasantly surprised to find the fuel here 30 cents per gallon cheaper than in Las Cruces - Wow! You'll also find 12 pumping stations for autos/trucks, and separate pumps to the north for Semi truck drivers. There's plenty of room for maneuvering in case you're in a motor home or towing a trailer. The bathrooms are clean, and the store is well stocked with all the normal snacks, ice cream, etc.. and automotive needs. The little human interaction I had was upon leaving the store the employees wished me a happy day (1 extra star). If you're traveling south towards Alamogordo (60 miles away) and getting low on fuel, I recommend you stop in, get some fuel, try some of their ice cream, stretch, relax for a few minutes, and be thankful for businesses like this - especially in the middle of nowhere!! :) #ThankfulThursday

In honor of #ServiceStarShoutout day on Yelp today, I'm reviewing this strategically located…read moreservice station/truck stop in Carrizozo, NM I used during my last trip out of El Paso, TX. I usually stop here for refueling (surprisingly lower cost than some) my car and refueling myself with drinks & snacks when I'm traveling from Santa Rosa, NM (1-40) to El Paso, TX on US 54. It's about 1/2 way between those two points. If you need some gas, you really need to stop here before you go on too long because there's literally nothing here and Alamogordo about 60 miles away on US 54 unless you're willing to make a stop in Ruidoso or Cloudcroft really out of your way (and why would you do that when you're running low on your gas?). The bathrooms are clean, and the store is well stocked with all the normal snacks, drinks, water, ice cream, and automotive needs, etc. Customer service is good here.

Cloudcroft is a small community but Allsup is the local gas station that has the standard items,…read morehowever because this community is 30 miles from Alamogordo they carry those needed grocery staples as well. Consider them a mini mini mini grocery store. Prices were very reasonable. Nice to know that you can go down and get actual veggies. They have the best fried burritos or jumbo corn dog or green chili burrito. I think it's the Allsup hot sauce thats really the magic. Stopped by there as i headed back to Pflugerville, Texas today to fulfill the Allsup order request. Walked out with $36 in fried burritos and chimichanga's And the sauce. I love the burritos, nostalgia, as i recall my younger days in Cali and spending time at the bowling ally where we bought fried burritos as well. Staff that work there are so nice to all.

Even though this place is on Curfew Place, it sure stays open late!…read more Check out the painted dumpsters! These dumpsters are larger and deeper than usual, apparently to keep out the bears. They have been lovingly painted with scenes of the local town. Oh what an honor to be painted on a dumpster! The store is kinda gritty and dirty. The lights flicker on and off like some sort of zombie movie around here. The place does keep busy at all hours though. They sell most everything you need up in here. Beer, burritos, bubble gum- you name it- they got it. I'm not a big fan of Allsup's gas- it's only 86 octane and up to 10% ethanol. I don't want all that- it's like gas lite. The clerk was friendly and seemed happy to be there and was more than willing to assist.

This is one of the nicest-looking Allsups I have ever encountered…read more It is also part of the newest takeover in the north area of town. There are several of these supposed 24-hour convenience shops with gas stations in Ruidoso, NM, but this particular one is one is at 1204 Mechem Dr. The fuel prices are always outrageous in this town... $3.40 per unleaded gallon at the DK pump on 5/4/2024. Clean grounds. Tight fit for trailers in tow, but feasible. Now to finish "All Quiet on the Western Front" or "Im Westen nichts Neues" (2022) in honor of Memorial Day.

I told the lady when we were leaving and said thank you for you being so sweet because he was very rude and as we were walking out the door he heard me wat I said n so he forced this out well have a good night yeah he just said that because he know what I said... and it closes at 10 PM until 6am closes
