They have a huge array of drinks (hurrah, raspberry beer!), awesome cocktails, an eclectic playlist of indie/alt past and present - oh, and the food's not bad too. The Sunday roast and the burgers come very recommended. And that's not to mention the beer garden, the frequent gigs, the lindy hop lessons (yes, you read correctly.). I like this place muchly.

The usual cheap drinks and menu if you have a Yellow Card - two quid for students, like gold dust to the rest of us (I've just had my purse nicked so mine is gone!) The usual pub fare is available, burgers, chips and the like. It gets mad busy and proportionately more scummy as the evening goes on. Expect to stick to the floors, the bar and the tables. In fact, try not to touch anything at all if you can help it. Maybe some gloves would be a good idea. And the toilets, well, I just waited til I got home so I'll leave it to you to find out.

We settled on: Garlic prawns-flavorful and fresh. Vegetable croquetas- a fun take on a normally meat driven dish. The texture was more satisfying than the flavor, but overall it was good. Cauliflower nuggets with blue cheese dipping sauce-similar to the croquetas, the texture was better than the flavor. I was looking for a stronger blue cheese flavor in the sauce. Patatas bravas-delicious, and surprising that there were two separate sauces, one more creamy and one more spicy. A winner. The bread with the table was ok, nothing spectacular. Regardless the overall meal was a pleasure to eat!

They serve the full range of Everards beers including an unusually named beer that was made with New Zealand hops. They are not averse to beer festivals either. The food was alright toowell..they did a nice jacket potatoe, which I guess doesn't rank too highly on a list of culinary achievements. The only downside is that the big beer garden can encourage families, which can make it a less relaxing place for a drink. But you could always go inside and sit at the coffin table if that happens.
