The wake/memorial was amazing, their staff were always nearby but "invisible" - just out of sight. On the morning of the funeral everything went off without a hitch. Every detail was just right including putting the "US Army" insignia on the hearse and providing us a TV with HDMI input for us to present our slide show of the best photos. Everything we requested was done right and was done quietly and quickly. Props to TJ and Lou and the other fine folks at Doherty's, it was a beautiful send-off for our member of the Greatest generation.

We had initially thought the meeting was going well and they were understanding our personal requests. When we asked a few clarification questions to make sure the funeral would abide by our religious and cultural customs, the guy that was helping us all of the sudden said that the funeral director was not available at the date we request (despite stating earlier that the director would be available on our requested date). And then he shut down the conversation. My family left the building, but my aunt went back to retrieve a pair of glasses that were left behind. When she returned to the building, she heard the employee that was helping us stating that we were cheap and did not want to spend money on our passed relative. We felt very disrespected at such a trying and vulnerable time. We would never give our business to a place that disrespects their clients in such a manner. We felt as if our culture and religious customs were being disrespected. It was borderline racist. Would never come here again.

For this reason I would consider having my service at another funeral home No one should be turned away after waiting in line for over a half hour I can honestly say this was not done at two other wakes that I attended there but then again it was a different funeral director running it

A very special thank you to Adrianne, who truly went above and beyond in every possible way. She took on an incredibly complex and time-sensitive process and handled it with professionalism, urgency, and genuine care. Adrianne personally coordinated with airline cargo departments, worked closely with the consulate, and persistently followed up to ensure all documents were expedited. Thanks to her dedication and relentless effort, what seemed impossible was accomplished in an unbelievably short time -- we were able to transfer my father's body to his homeland much faster than anyone thought possible. The entire team demonstrated compassion, efficiency, and deep respect for our cultural and emotional needs. In such a painful moment, their support meant everything to us. I wholeheartedly recommend Faggas Funeral Home to anyone in need of truly exceptional service. They are not only professionals -- they are kind, dedicated people who genuinely care.

From our very first call late on a Saturday night, Leo Spano responded promptly and guided us through every step with professionalism, patience, and kindness. Leo's attentiveness, knowledge, and genuine compassion made a difficult time easier for our family. He ensured that every detail--from the preparation and presentation to the church service and burial--was carried out beautifully. Our family wishes to sincerely thank Leo for his outstanding service and support. He is truly an invaluable member of the Gately Funeral Home team.

However, Leo…read moreand the entire team at Gately Funeral Home provided an exceptional level of care and professionalism that brought our family great comfort during this painful time. From our very first meeting, it was clear that Leo is deeply dedicated to his work. He told us that he only has one opportunity to do things right, and he truly lived up to that promise. Leo was compassionate, honest, and transparent throughout the entire process. He never attempted to upsell us or pressure us into unnecessary purchases. Instead, he asked about our budget and helped us find ways to stay within it. He even mentioned that we could purchase certain items elsewhere, though he often offered better prices himself. His integrity and empathy were evident in every interaction. Leo provided his personal cell phone number and responded promptly to every question or concern we had. Because my father's passing was unexpected, he first had to go through the medical examiner. During that time, Leo kept us updated regularly and contacted me immediately once my father arrived at the funeral home. We felt confident that my father was being cared for with the utmost respect and dignity. The wake and funeral services were beautifully arranged. Since my father was a Navy veteran, Leo ensured that he received full military honors. When the two representatives performing the flag ceremony did not fold the flag correctly, Leo personally offered to have it redone properly and delivered it to my mother's home a few days later -- a gesture that meant a great deal to our family. At the cemetery, a miscommunication caused confusion regarding the burial plot. While the issue was ultimately with the cemetery, Leo went above and beyond once again, offering to bring my father back to the funeral home until everything was resolved. His concern and advocacy stood in stark contrast to the cemetery's suggestion to "leave the vault out overnight." Ultimately, the cemetery resolved the issue by removing a tree that was in the way -- something we thought would take months -- but thanks to Leo's persistence, it was completed within a week. I cannot thank Leo and the staff at Gately Funeral Home enough for their compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail. They treated our family with kindness and my father with the respect he deserved. I wholeheartedly recommend Gately Funeral Home to anyone in need of funeral services. They truly go above and beyond in every way.

He is not a dress up person and was supposed to be wearing something casual. They put him in a suit which was not what he wanted. On the day of the wake/funeral I arrived and none of the staff greeted me. Eventually when someone showed up it was to take my coat and then disappeared. When my brothers set it up we were supposed to have two of us do eulogies as well as a priest. They did a horrible job before the wake started and didn't introduce themselves or ask about the family. (Just ushered them in the room where my Dad was and I was already in there and spent the whole wake. When it came time for the eulogies and the priest, the priest was the only one who introduced himself and asked things about my Dad. The priest did an amazing job summing up my Dads life and blessing him. After that someone came in (Remember NOBODY from Keefe even introduced themselves.) came in and announced the service was over and to head outside for the procession to the cemetery. Then to make matters worse they didn't have the family members go first, they just waved everyone on. At the cemetery they didn't even tell everyone where to pull up and park. Again the person from Keefe just announced the priest was going to do a quick prayer and announced where we were going afterward. So unprofessional and I will never use or recommend this place to anyone. So unprofessional and uncaring. My Dads final day was horrible. Wish I could give zero stars.
