Alex Brenny was fantastic, patient, understanding, friendly, and a kind person who helped me with the planning of my StepDad's funeral. I appreciate all the help he offered when my sister and I were in the office from writing the obituary, to the Memorial folders, the urn, and many phone calls. The service was great! My Mother wanted my StepDad's wedding ring & they made sure Mom got that back in a velvet type bag after the service. It's hard to love a funeral home, right? Well I "love" this one. Not that I have a whole lot of experience or much comparison however I know great customer service. The staff here at Brenny's was outstanding and so friendly, as well as accommodating. I'm so glad I chose this place for my mom funeral service. Rhonda the director of operations was so wonderful and understanding during the most horrible time in my life. Kathlee was just so friendly and came up with solutions when there seemed to be only problems. The funeral assistant/celebrant they have on staff, Steve Suer is just a wonderful person and so professional. I can't thank their team enough for the help they provided me through losing my mom so I will just write this review in hopes that it brings them business. I used Brenny Family Funeral Chapel for a direct cremation, meaning that they would only handle the cremation of my mother, and they had no other responsibilities. In other words, they had ONE JOB. When I came in to collect my mothers jewelry that she was wearing at the time of her death, the staff informed me that the jewelry had accidentally been cremated with my mother. She was wearing 6 rings and 7 necklaces, most of which was extremely expensive 24k Saudi gold. Not to mention incredibly sentimental pieces that my mother wished for me to have when she passed, and that I was planning on wearing the rest of my life. The most they could do for me was a full refund (approx $3k). Words can't express how disappointed I am that I won't be able to wear 2 of those necklaces as she intended for me and pass them down through my family. No amount of money could replace what they took away from me because of an "accident". read more

Very disappointed is an understatement. Brenny Funeral and Cremation Service wrote an obituary that was totally ridiculous. Not only was the punctuation awful, the content was irrelevant and historical inaccurate. How do they include that my father had scarlet fever as a child but not include anything about his military service. Who cares about his scarlet fever...are you serious. That's was just one example...the whole thing was bad, bad, bad. We spent a considerable amount of time rewriting their FUBAR obituary to accurately reflect my father's life. The new obituary was sent to Brenny and we asked that they use it instead of the trash they had flung together. Not a problem right...wrong. They sent and had published the abomination of an obituary that they had written and the one we had written ended up who knows where. They truly seemed more concerned that their advertising byline at the bottom of the obituary got published which; my mother had to pay for. Brenny's suggestion for resolution was to re-run the right obituary a week later and he was serious. Yes, disappointed is an understatement, I'm pissed. I would not trust them to bury my hamster. read more
