My visit here wasn't scheduled; I needed a manicure last minute and called a few nail salons to check for open availability. There was a cancellation, and they were able to taken the appointment within the hour. Express Nails stands amount a strip of salons and boutiques in a quaint pink Victorian building. The inside is cozy and decorated very well. The salon is run by the owner and her daughter; both were extremely kind and welcoming. I opted in for my usual dip manicure, which was done by the owner herself My nails were weak and brittle from having dip removed a few days before my visit her. She did an incredible job throughly applying layers of strengthening polishes between the layers of the dip manicure. She was very friendly and engaging; I loved talking to her throughout my service. She didn't make me feel rushed at all despite me being visiting last minute The result of the dip manicure was beautiful. I was much happier with the result of this dip manicure compared to others I've gotten in the area. While I haven't tried every nail salon in Yardley Borough, I'll definitely be revisiting Express Nails.

This Korean nail house has one wall with blue tubbed foot soakers, and the other with small work stations for manicures, against the other. Carol took care of my feets with confident expertise. The hot soak, callus scrub, toenail clip job in all its detail, freed me of painful tootsies in 30 minutes, and the follow on massage of my calves almost put me to sleep. No toe polish, thank you very much, but that poster for the "Blueberry Spa & Salt," sounded pretty fascinating, but wasn't sure whether it was a rub-on or smoothie. The $35 was right for the quality work and very clean house. The $20 tip was appreciated, but I couldn't tell if Carol expected more. If she had attempted to engage in conversation rather than stick to a Korean chat with the other pedicurists, she probably would have garnered more and earned the business a fifth star.

I started out by showing a photo and they did a great job. I'm happy! Can't wait to be back and try another design. And on a side note, I'm a bit of a perfectionist. The line art was not as smooth as the pic but that's because the nail size I requested was shorter than the pic. But the part that honestly impressed me the most is that the lady who did the design part of it recognized it and explained the length problem she ran into. I said not one word of it because personally I was happy with the phenomenal and friendly service. So the fact that she recognized it (other nail salons make mistakes and pretend that it looks nice anyways) and wasn't a "blind artist", that's what I call them, was awesome. I haven't tried nail art, tips, or more advanced services, so can't speak to those. Prices are reasonable, hours are long, and they're incredibly dependable. Perfect no-frills spot when you just need good work done without the hassle.
