Dr. Davis is a no nonsense, no sales pitch, no keep you coming in forever kind of guy. He brings you in, works on your issues and sends you on your way. He has 37 years of experience but apparently they never taught the importance of good beside manner at chiropractic school 40 years ago. From the moment I walked into his office he talked down to me in a condescending manner as though I was stupid. He made many snark remarks. I honestly think this guy is racist and this was why he was so rude to me as He did not talk this way to the patient that was in there before me or the two women that came in after me. He even addressed on of them by sweetheart when he showed her the room. All of whom were white, He was very condescending towards me. I felt like like he was talking down to me and interrogating me at the same time from the moment I stepped into his office. It wasn't just what he said but how he said it. I told him I had gone to see an osteopath and he was said "so what did he do to fix it?!?" You don't know what he did?!? You're still in pain right?!? So what did he do to fix it?? When I told him I had scoliosis he said. Have you ever had an x ray?? So how do you know if you have scoliosis if you've never had an x ray? I told him I could feel it and have been told my whole life by multiple chiropractors that I had it. They does not have a receptionist working for him... hmmm I wonder why??

I only waited for maybe 20 minutes before she saw me and the payment for the initial visit was $80. I've been told that's relatively standard. Follow up visits usually run around $50-60, I believe. She started me on an electrical muscle stimulator type device for 10 or so minutes and then we chatted about what was causing me pain/getting to the root of the issue. After cracking me numerous times and a deep massage, she told me that my mattress could very well be the culprit. Although it was a relief that there wasn't anything seriously wrong with me, I knew buying the right mattress wouldn't be the cheapest solution. She wanted to schedule a follow up, but unfortunately, I was leaving the area the next day. If I ever have another neck/muscle strain problem and I'm in the Dayton area, I'm definitely coming back. She was so incredibly friendly and helpful. One visit and I had regained quite a bit of mobility in my neck. She also encouraged me to email her if I was interested in a civilian chiropractor in my area and wanted to verify that they were right for me. This place certainly knows great customer service!

If you want someone who is going to THINK about how to best help you, Dr Besecker is your man! He's a smidge more expensive than the sunglasses guy, but you're getting a better work up. Every time I went to him, he tried a different technique, and spent quite a bit of one-on-one time with me. He even gave me exercises to do at home! For him, it's all about your health and wellness. Sessions here were about 15 mins of actual therapy...if you call it that. For a same cost why such a short time here? Most sessions weren't beneficial.
