I've been seeing Dr. Holten for years, when he first started. He and his staff have gotten me through some terrible painful accidents. Also, helped me with detox and living better. His center is state of the art, staff are absolutely wonderful. I went about 2 or 3 times a week for adjustments, until things started to settle back in place, now I go once a month, more if I need it. I do hard labor as a HVAC - Electrician. I am so happy I am receiving treatment at Holton Wellness! I was in a car accident 35 years ago that injured my neck and back. I have seen countless chiropractors over the years, getting temporary relief with each visit only to have the pain return each time. I was referred to a surgery practice who referred me to Holton. I was given what I thought was a long and expensive plan, including chiropractic, physical therapy and wellness coaching, but I had to try it. My left arm went numb every time I raised my head. After 8 weeks of chiropractic adjustments - 3 a week - I moved to one adjustment a week and physical therapy that was to strengthen the muscles to hold my spine in the proper position. I cried from the pain on the first visit, but it steadily got better and better. I'm stronger all over now, and I no longer have pain in either my back or neck. Looking back at the plan, I see that I would have spent every bit of that money at other Chiropractors, without the correction I received at Holton. They have a system that really works if you participate and do what they tell you to do. I'm nearing the end of my plan, but will continue to have maintenance adjustments for life. After falling this past July, I began experiencing unbearable neck, shoulder, and back pain, along with a terrible exacerbation of trigeminal neuralgia (jaw and facial nerve pain which I have suffered from, off and on, for over 12 years). The pain sent me to the ER and my family doctor, with unfortunately, no relief. Frustrated and feeling helpless, I decided to seek help from another source that I knew very little about, chiropractic care through Holten Wellness Center. After a very professional, thorough, and careful exam, including x-rays, complete health history, and physical exam I was diagnosed by Dr. Holten with scoliosis and advanced arthritis from neck to hip, a degenerative process affecting my spinal function, muscle function, movement and motion, all leading to severe pain, muscle spasms, and difficulty with normal daily activities. During the consultation, Dr. Holten explained that this arthritis was not new to me, in fact I've probably had it for 20-30 years, but that the fall upset the apple cart by undoing all the compensation that my body had done over the last several years to try and fix the problem. His explanation, treatment plan, and caring attitude gave me hope! Finally, someone who wanted to help me! I am 57 years young and have always been very active. This condition put me at my wits end! I felt like giving up! I felt helpless, frustrated, sad, and afraid. I stayed at home, avoided interaction with others due to the pain, especially the trigeminal neuralgia which caused me to stop talking and eating (I ate only baby food for a while), and missed out on family events. I wasn't sleeping well either. Not to mention other health issues like increased blood pressure, depression, and anxiety caused by the pain. After just a few months of treatment from the whole team at Holten Wellness Center, I can thankfully say that my overall health and quality of life had improved by leaps and bounds! The neck, shoulder and back pain has decreased tremendously, the trigeminal neuralgia is nearly gone (after 12 years of suffering), and I am moving/bending and doing activities easier and more comfortably than I have in years! I'm sleeping so much better, my blood pressure is fantastic, I'm happy again, and feel full of life! I can exercise more, I'm back to doing housework, yardwork, and normal daily activities without pain and I am enjoying a social life again! I no longer feel like I have to go hide in a cave! Since beginning care at Holten Wellness Center I have learned so much about the spine and muscular/skeletal system, their importance to the nervous system, and the importance of taking care of them to achieve optimal function and health. I have learned that this new way of life is "from now on" for me and needs to include healthy eating, daily stretches and exercises, a decrease in stress and anxiety, and regular visits for adjustments for the rest of my life! All without medications! I honestly can't believe the difference in the way I feel now! This truly made a difference in my life! Wow is all I can say about Holten Wellness Center. Dr Matthew Holten is truly amazing, knowledgeable and hands on and knows his job. I have been going to Holten for at least 10 years now. I think the concept of wellness is brilliant! I have no back or neck issues with the exception that my range of motion had declined. I tried it and and loved it. I have such a better range of motion now and I just feel altogether healthier. I used to do Crossfit and still work out regularly and find this to be the perfect fit. I love being checked up and realigned every 3 weeks for maintenance. Staff is great and you never have to wait for your appointment. The process is super efficient. read more

I first came to Holten Wellness about 5 months ago. I was in so much pain that I couldn't even sleep through the night, much less do anything that I wanted to do like workout, hike, or clean my house. I met with Dr. Holten, and he thoroughly explained my scoliosis and what I could expect with and without treatment. I have been to several other chiropractors over the years, and no one explained a healthy spine vs. an unhealthy spine. No one explained to me just how bad my back was - they just said to come in for an adjustment as needed. I have been going to Holten Wellness Center for a couple years now. I am a firm believer in maintaining a healthy diet and exercise. I choose to have routine adjustments and occasional massages to maintain my general wellbeing. Late last year I was in a car accident that caused neck, arm and lower back pain. Daily activities like reading, driving and sleeping were affected. Simply looking down to read, type or drive would cause nauseating headaches. Sleeping would cause lower back pain. I knew the staff at Holten Wellness Center would get me back on track. Dr. Jill devised a plan of treatment to help realign, relax and strengthen my body. Since starting her recommended plan, I can say I not only feel better but actually feel stronger. I'm back to enjoying my daily activities with such improvement. Sticking to her plan wasn't easy but well worth it. The routine adjustments and rehab along with massage have improved my whole body health. I have noticed improvements in my digestion and sleep pattern. I have learned to be patient with my recovery.
