After receiving a recommendation to use Watkins for clock repair, I took my cuckoo clock to them to…read morerepair because the chain in the movement came loose. I was told it would be finished in a week. I followed up multiple times asking for the status and was always told they were waiting on the part and it would be ready in the next week. After several months of waiting for them to fix the chain, I finally called and told them I wanted to come in to the shop and pick up the clock. When I arrived at the shop, they acted as if they had no recollection of the phone conversation. They couldn't find the clock and when they finally found it, it was missing the bird and hands. They found the bird but not the hands. They seemed very carefree about it and offered no apology. Unbeknownst to me because of lack of knowledge at the time, the bellows were missing and they gave me the wrong movement for an 8 day clock when my clock contained a 1 day movement. Essentially they disassembled my clock and returned it with incorrect and incomplete parts. I didn't realize this at the time so I didn't question the parts they gave me. Later after watching repair videos, I had to order new parts to replace all the parts they didn't return to me. It's outrageous that a business this unorganized and unprofessional is still operating. Do not use this shop.

Indeed, they had many beautiful sparkly things from which I tried to avert my eyes. We have two kids going to college soon, so there goes my bling money. For Mother's Day, I had asked for a circle pendant I could have my daughters' birthdates engraved upon. I didn't think ahead to how I was going to get said item engraved, and spent a bit of time researching how to handle that. Yelp suggested they do engraving at Jones, so I ventured in for the first time. Despite being what I would consider a higher end store, I was warmly welcomed and felt comfortable there. At no point did anyone even remotely make me feel poorly for bringing in an item purchased elsewhere. That has NOT been my experience at other jewelers. I'm talking to you, Kevin Kelly. I'll never forget how he made me feel for asking him to set a stone I didn't purchase there. I'll never go there again. Hey, guess what? People buy things on the internet. Especially if their husband's nickname is Mr. Thrifty. But I digress. Jones has employed an engraver with actual graphic design experience and that made it worth the price which was admittedly a tiny bit high for engraving.
