They made sure they had all my information. As you can see in the screenshot they texted me to confirm my appointment. My first clue should have been when the lady behind me was greeted and assisted before me, I realized we were not probably getting the same service but I thought that the man assisting people was rude for not acknowledging me at all, even after we had eye contact. We agreed that my wife and I would not be waiting, and would pick it up in the afternoon. When I got the quote they said a couple of hours. So at around 5:00 I called to see if the service was complete. I was then informed that my vehicle was on the ticket for tomorrow. I completely understand that things come up and life happens, and that my vehicle was not an emergency, or broke down. I was just dumbfounded that they didn't reach out to me in any way! I told the person I spoke to on the phone that I was on my way to retrieve my vehicle. When we got there I went in and spoke with a lady about getting my vehicle. I expressed my disappointment, frustration, and confusion. I did lose my cool and used profanity at the very end of our conversation. I had apologized for my attitude and said may I have my keys please. She agreed with my frustration and then told me my vehicle was being pulled up for me. That's when I freaked out, why in the world would you have to get in my vehicle, adjust settings for YOUR COMFORT, and roll down the windows and move the mirror, just to move the f***ing vehicle literally like a parking space! I just couldn't believe you can't do the service when agreed on, not contact me in any manner saying, Hey we are keeping YOUR vehicle longer, and then act like you are doing me some kind of favor by moving it! Get the f**k out of my vehicle. Needless to say, we did not get anything done to our vehicle at this location, but we did waste time, and effort. Thanks for nothing but frustration! My car, like many cars that are on the market today, has tons of bells and whistles, so adding a battery means doing a reset and reprogram. Guess what? I don't have the tools or the knowledge on how to do that. Could I change a battery many years ago? Absolutely! Could I change a battery now? No way... That's why I needed someone with the tools, the know-how, and the availability. I put in a request via Yelp to get a project started, and Prymo was the first to respond and had availability the next morning. They sent a tech to my house, he quickly diagnosed that the battery had no charge left, even though I had a jump the day before, and he commenced replacement. I didn't have to do anything other than do what I usually do, which is work from home. Fast-forward a half-hour and the job was done. I had a new battery, the tech had reprogrammed everything to its proper state, and he was on his way. Prymo accepts debit and credit, though a credit card purchase will come with a 3% charge, which is very fair since that's what the banks stick to the business. It wasn't cheap, but most of the cost was in the actual battery itself, which came with a five-year warranty. Great response, simple to navigate and schedule, and the tech was professional and skilled. Great experience and highly recommend if you're in the same situation.

I would not recommend taking your car there now. The first incident was a botched simple oil change. The technician did not add enough oil to even reach the dipstick. The result was a series of check engine lights and loss of power for a day, until I figured out that the engine needed oil. The other incident was a leak in the coolant system. The techs replaced the radiator and hoses. 4 days later, the jeep is taken to a Jeep dealership with no coolant in the system. Turns out that the thermostat was leaking. This resulted in a damaged water pump that added an addition $1000 on top of the over-priced repairs charged by Stroman. Craig claimed they tested my Jeep for one and a half hours, yet there was no noted change in the fuel gauge. Craig's team failed to either correctly identify where the coolant leak was, or failed to find all of the leaks in the system. Craig's response when presented with the damage to the water pump was effectively a shoulder shrug and a whatever. Based on poor technician troubleshooting and repairs, along with a dishonest owner, Maurer/Stroman is no longer recommended.

It eludes me how some comments indicate "fair pricing." I paid over $200 for a diagnostic ($80 for an initial inspection and an additional $119 for a cleanup/secondary inspection) just to identify an oil leak which was part of 4 additional leaks but the former was the lesser of the 4 evils. The issue turned out to be a bad Rear Main Seal which they came back at $4,300 based on 20.3 hours of labor. The explanation was that the engine and transmission both needed to be removed. After spending an afternoon consulting several other reputable shops, the highest quote I received was $2,750. Here's the kicker: On a hunch, I called a dealership to see how close they came to their price. How close? The dealership quoted me $2,901.05 out the door. By the way, all shops confirmed that a full "engine out" procedure is not the industry standard for this seal replacement. And even utilizing the latter method, the highest bid was for 16 hours. And yes, I shared with all shops and the dealership I called that my vehicle is AWD. Quotes for spark plugs ($450+) and O2 sensors ($1,100+) were equally jarring. While I understand shops have overhead, these prices felt like absolute highway robbery compared to market rates for the same OEM parts and repairs. I appreciated Brandon's transparency, communication, and calm demeanor, but I cannot reconcile the costs here. With these prices, I am honestly at a loss at their perfect 5-star reviews. I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
