OK, so I'm more of a fan of those cute little bakeries which churn out a delicious array of wholemeal breads loaded with pepitas, walnuts, sunflower seeds and chunks of fruit. But for a local bakery that's easy on the wallet where you can pick up preservative-free loaves, bRED is pretty much on the money.
There are white and wholemeal loaves, baguettes and what seems to be their speciality (and the most mouth-watering); pull-aparts. They have savoury (sweet chilli and herb, spinach and feta and garlic and cheese) and sweet (apple and blueberry, apple and rhubarb and berry). There's also a huge variety of pies (most containing steak with altering accompaniments), sweet tarts, donuts, cream buns (ahhh!!), large cakes, fruit scones and vanilla slices. read more
