I initially tried the new student special where you can take unlimited classes for a month for $30 which I would highly recommend to get a feel for the studio. I love that it's located downtown and so far parking hasn't been a problem. The ambiance is ideal for a yoga studio- natural light, beautiful decorated, open space and natural light. The only thing is that there's always a dog walking around the studio. He's usually locked out for classes but if you have an allergy it's good to know that he'll be around. There are also no showers, so keep this in mind if you're going before work! Overall it's a great studio and worth looking into.

After class I was hanging out like we were offered to do, and I made my way to the sink to wash my hands. I had put my shoes on and was taking in how beautiful the space is, and the owner came through and yelled at me. I'm not kidding, full yell about not seeing the remove your shoes sign. When I apologized she interrupted me and snapped that "that's what the sign is for." I'm sorry I didn't see your dimly lit sign in your dimly lit space. Maybe when I walked in and made eye contact with her she could have greeted me and given me a verbal run down of the studio like a professional. Needless to say I won't be going back there and I will be letting as many people know about this nasty experience as I can.

Would highly recommend stopping by to check out this facility or it's sister facility called the "rail yard" (I believe). I would suppose if a member thought so about a facility they'd leave it instead of staying for over a year? Especially after supposedly contracting a health issue??? Regarding the fingerprint thing he mentions, I've had access to the large towels myself for about two years, and the fingerprint referenced is a special lock that I've never even seen anywhere else, it's absolutely cool that I can get shower towels easily whenever I want to. The water is too hard? Seriously? Doesn't the City provide the water? And the electronic payments, I just switched from Verizon to At&T, had to pay a fee to close the account early...like every business in the world requires? Sounds to me like the guy just didn't want to pay a bill and decided to just haze a small business. The Firehall is a great gym for a small town definitely, it's not perfect at all of course, I wish they carried larger dumbbells, they only go to 100pds. But they have everything large city gyms have. And both owners are very present and seem to know everyone, I've never been there and not been addressed by my name by them, I watch them being very engaged with their members. So other than small things like the dumbbells, I've always been very happy with what they provide, and would recommend that anyone reading an obvious smear attempt in a reveiw look further before making judgement.

The instructors have a strong practice and lead with precise instruction. Although the classes are challenging, they encourage their students to either scale up or scale down accordingly. The heat is supportive not stifling, even during the summer, between 90-95. The studio space is clean with showers, bathrooms and cold lavender towels. There's plenty of parking, which saves trying to fight for a spot on Main street. There are plenty of studios to choose from in Bozeman, but I'm thrilled that The Practice Power Yoga recently opened.

Abigail incorporates deeply knowledgeable and expertly researched teachings from years of energy work, studying vedas, mantras, astrology, kundalini, breathwork, oracle arts, healing arts, and intuition training. Her sense of timing for her offerings is always serendipitous and such a gift to her community. She is one of the wisest and most powerful practitioners I have met. Big Sky is SO lucky to have Abigail! She led kundalini for years at a yoga and wellness center in San Francisco, and MT is truly getting one of the best. She also crafts the most delicious pineapple kombucha. For anyone reluctant to try breathwork, kundalini yoga, reiki or energy work, you can always trust Abigail's integrity and anchor. The container she creates is immaculate, careful, and grounded; her work is precise, boundaried, and high EQ. If you are lucky enough to receive one of Abigail's soundbaths and gong sound healings, enjoy that rocketship to theta state brainwave. I have witnessed Abigail put a room of incredibly traumatized and terrorized adults into immediate deep sleep using just one gong and her energy. I always leave Abigail's breathwork and kundalini classes glowing, oxygenated, clear, and energetically charged. She is a rare expert in her field and deserves all the praise.

I am a member of CorePower which is a great workout but not your typical yoga experience and I have not felt a sense of community there. Bend beyond was also a great workout but offered such a warm and caring environment that was so refreshing! I loved how everyone cheered each other on during class and found it really motivating. The studio was beautiful and I loved the mountain mural. The only thing that would enhance it is toiletries in the bathroom such as shower soap and maybe things like lotion and deodorant. I also really appreciated the cuing and focus on form. The only other feedback would be heavier weights! I didn't see heavier than 10lbs. I've definitely been to yoga studios where staff and students alike didn't make eye contact, and I legit felt anxious walking into... not the case here! I would recommend this studio to anyone who feels like their yoga practice has plateaued or been stagnant, along with anyone who had a bad experience or feels intimidated by yoga. They have a variety of classes that each stay true to their discipline and are consistent from teacher to teacher. I think the negative reviews must be from people that are not familiar with bikram hot yoga. (Yeah... you get SWEATY). But I've never thought that it smelled bad ;) and I've seen people cleaning the floors after class. I have practiced yoga fairly regularly but recently have been dealing with injuries. Random yoga classes would only exacerbate my symptoms, but I believe the hot yoga sequence and classes are helping. The teachers are understanding, offer modifications, and are encouraging in a time that can feel rather discouraging. Super grateful for this egoless studio!
