It's a nice crystal store, it's established and has lots of cool stuff! It is a shame that the bayshore and Calverton stores closed. However, I will say, the service is incredibly poor. The owner of the store tells employees not to talk or be friendly with customers. This is incredibly unwelcoming and causes the employees to act soulless and robotic, even people in these reviews mention it. The more friendly you are, the more people want to do business with you, believe me, I worked retail for a decade, I have a clue. I had made a friend in the bayshore store that kept getting into trouble talking to us, but talking to her actually made us buy more things! One time I came in when the store had an hour left open and the girl that was there was being rude and rushing us, so she could leave and close the store! Turns out it was the daughter of the owner. To make matters worse, I bought a heart crystal and gave it to a friend. Apparently it was a fake crystal! My friend dropped it by accident! I don't necessarily blame the store since anyone can get scammed, but I would just say be careful and make sure the crystal is real. Especially with those prices! The thing that gets me the most about Breathe is the soulless ness and unfriendliness vibe that the employees are forced into. There's so many other crystal stores where employees are friendly and fun to talk to! Not Breathe, it just gives me a "meh" feeling, I'd much rather go somewhere else than breathe. Every time I visit down port I always make sure to stop by this beautiful store. They have many household decorations and spiritual items which are perfect for gifts. I bought myself a dream catcher here a few months ago and absolutely love it! I have it hung in my house and get alot of compliments, it wasn't too pricey for the size. I was so excited to come here after a party in the area. I always love spiritual shops. I was very disappointed because I really felt that the prices were very high, and the energy was missing. I wasn't greeted by someone that worked in the store. They had a wonderful selection of tarot cards, and dream catchers were beautiful. When I first started going to the shop, it was amazing. It appears now that it's more about making money and not helping the customers. My sister and her boyfriend are both disabled and fully blind. They purchased a crystal that was cracked/chipped. I called the following day and spoke to Legend which says she's the manager or assistant manager, and said that they could not exchange it out. Furthermore, she said that they made them aware that it was chipped and that the boyfriend said it was OK.I called him to get clarification on if this is accurate and he stated that was untrue and that she stated it was a "circle"! Sad that they lost my entire family as customers when they could have exchanged out the item. They said they do not take crystals back do to energy. I work with crystals and energy and they could in fact cleanse that stone or send back to the manufacture for a refund. Furthermore, they should have explained the return/exchange policy. Customer Service should be priority! Shame on you for taking advantage of two disabled people! read more

Love this place! always find some really interesting crystals and candles, they have a ton of incense too. one of my favorite metaphysical shops, the pricing is fair which I love and makes it easy to always drop in. The employees are always highly knowledgeable and easy to ask anything, very helpful. I attended the Reiki Circle & Meditation @ Breathe. The facilitator had such wonderful energy, and really guides the group in a positive, uplifting direction. The meditation is guided, and there is a spiritual basis which I love. The only downside was that the group was held in the back of the store & it felt crowded. We were 15 people in the group, and it was $20. Reiki circles are held the first Thursday of every month and they are 1.5 hrs. It was a good experience overall and I left with good vibes! read more

Sold here are crystals advertising that they cure things such as ADHD, OCD, schizophrenia, and autism(ASD). This is extremely harmful. These are things that require attention from a medical or psychological professional. Autism is not something that needs to be or can be cured, it is just a different way for a brain to work. Colorful rocks cannot "cure" any of these and it is offensive and harmful to make these claims. read more

Lots to say about Breathe. I've actually only done online shopping through Jena, the store owner. She has been incredibly helpful in my "crystal journey of discovery". Jena took the time to go over different crystals and their uses with me, multiple conversations to help me out. You can tell she is extremely passionate about not only the work she is doing, but in helping others. I follow Breathe on Instagram where routine group tarot readings, group healings, live meditation take place on live; a great experience and interaction with other folks that are interested in the same things I am! Breathe is a unique little shop that offers artistic gifts and meditation/altar supplies that very few stores carry. The prices are very fair with many high-quality unique items. You can find statues, crystals, singing bowls, incense, sage, candles, CDs, jewelry, some home decorations, etc. The owner and sales associates are always very friendly and helpful! One thing that I went in looking for recently as a gift was a CD with meditation guidance, but they didn't have it. I think this would be a great thing to add to inventory! She was very kind and friendly and greeted everyone the second they came in. The store was clean and had great energy and there was so many awesome things that there was something new to see with each head turn. I loved the palo santo and frankinscense resins... i havent seen those available at a store other than at botanicas and online.. the gemstone and crystals selction was big and nicely priced. Of the things I did buy, I purchased a henna kit and it's the WORST henna have ever encountered. It's incredibly lumpy and completely unusable. Really saddened by this store. The first few times I came into this store, I was impressed by the amount of products available, but as time went by, I found myself growing irritated by the high prices and lack of positive, nurturing energy. I instead found an energy that is judgmental in the way that, if you don't submit to admitting that you need healing from here in the ways they say, the energy of the place goes from somewhat to inviting to harsh, cold and un-empathetic. The owner also has leaked my own personal business into the community, directly violating professional counseling criteria that (unfortunately) is only protected by HIPAA if she were a medical professional. It amazes me that (at least in America) there is a WIDE culture of "healers" who are revered for their abilities when they themselves have not found their own healing and instead rely on their own preconceived, cultural and experiential notions of RIGHT and WRONG to direct their energy for healing. Goes to show that any kind of energy work, yogic, etc... certification is meaningless unless the person has the experience and depth to hold compassionate space for other human beings who don't agree to their own moral code. Also, the Feng shui of the place sucks the life out of you. What kind of energy worker puts 20+ himalayan salt lamps in the front doorway?
