I'm a somewhat reserved person who finds it hard to open up and feel safe with most people, but I felt completely comfortable with Mary. With Mary you get the best of both worlds. Not only is she highly skilled in what she does but she's also a woman of faith and offered me tons of biblical encouragement and insight that I badly needed. She is a midwife who believes in the bodies natural ability to heal, and to birth, but connects that with a wonderment and reverence for God. She is highly skilled in herbal medicine and was able to offer me many mixes to naturally and safely alleviate any concern/ discomfort I had during my pregnancy. My birth went faster than I expected but she was there in perfect time! Even during the most intense moments of labor, her touch and voice were so soothing. She took amazing care of us postpartum and was a listening ear for me when I had any concern about my baby and was quick to offer advice and natural remedies. Throughout my whole pregnancy and delivery she went above and beyond her duties as a midwife. She is incredibly generous with her time and remedies. Clarissa was there to comfort me through my fears as well as educate me on breastfeeding, labor positions, and how to write a birth plan. She was willing to go to appointments with me if I was scared and my husband couldn't. I decided to have a natural birth in a birthing center and she was my ROCK! I had a labor of 13 hours pushed for 3 and she didn't leave my side. For some reason the sound of my husbands voice was like nails on a chalk board. I needed the voice of a woman and the comfort of a woman. She was the best coach and support. It was the hardest work I ever did and it made a huge difference to have cheerleader on my side with my best interest at heart. This wasn't the case. I could not establish a good latch with my little guy and each feed was very painful. I went to the hospital lactation consultants and our doctor. We were told that he didn't have a tongue tie and to just keep going since he was gaining weight. I ended up with mastitis when my little one was around 2-3 weeks old. I reached to Melanie and she immediately was such a blessing during the postpartum period. She helped with information and ideas for treatment before being able to get into the office and meet. I thankfully was able to kick it without antibiotics. When I came into her office and she immediately got work. Her office was very welcoming and during a time when it's hard to take care of yourself, she took the time to check on me. It still means a lot. Being able to sit in the massage chair and drink a protein drink or coconut water while she does body magic on the little one is so rejuvenating. She helped establish a good latch, did weight checks, craniosacral therapy, helped get the tongue tie revision done and after care, organized mommy get togethers, and has been available text almost anytime. She also offers what seems to be all of the items for fake at office which has been so helpful. I can't recommend her enough. You won't be disappointed.

Because my son was not latching, we made an immediate appointment to see Melanie the day we were discharged from the hospital. We were exhausted, overwhelmed first time parents with a two-day old baby who was struggling to eat. We were worried our baby might have a tongue tie. I have a pretty severe tongue tie myself, so I had been worried this could be an issue for him. However, none of the doctors or lactation consultants at the hospital could see a tongue tie. Melanie was our second opinion. She took our two-day old baby and moved his body through some "maneuvers." In no more than 60 seconds, Melanie proclaimed he had a severe tongue tie. In addition to the lactation package she wanted to sell us, she recommended we immediately schedule a tongue-tied release procedure (frenectomy) with her "exclusive" partner, Dr. Zink. For an extra fee, Melanie would assist with the procedure. We were in luck, we were told, they could get us in that week! Although insurance covered none of this, we made the appointment because it felt urgent and important. Time was of the essence to get my baby to latch. But after sleeping on it, we realized we both had a bad taste in our mouths from our appointment with Melanie. It felt extremely "scammy" to us, so we cancelled the procedure in order to carefully consider our options. But after meeting with two other lactation consultants, a pediatrician, and a pediatric physical therapist, nobody else could tell us with any certainty that our son was tongue tied. We will never know if our baby could have benefitted from a frenectomy because we decided against it. However, looking back, our experience with Melanie honestly felt predatory. It is easy to see why so many exhausted, scared parents are agreeing to this invasive and painful procedure based on the high-pressure sales pitch they are getting from her. And of course, she and her dental partner must be profiting enormously from their symbiotic financial arrangement, which to us feels extremely unethical. I've thought about this experience many times in the nearly two years since it occurred, but I honestly felt too intimidated to say anything. A frenectomy is not always the right decision for every family. It is not an emergency regardless of how you are made to feel. Don't be afraid to trust your gut. Don't be afraid to get a second opinion.

One time she replied back to me after I left a voicemail via email but didn't follow up with anything I said blanket stating I can see pictures online which isn't what I asked for at all. I sent one final email asking for assistance and stating the issues I'm saying here and that was 4 days ago. So I agree. This place is unprofessional. This place has no business playing doctor and spa because they are not capable of doing both. First of all their GLPs are definitely watered down and so are their umbilical cord serums that look tampered with when you get them at $140 bucks!! Everything is opened and tampered with! But thats just the petty stuff! I've been planning a minor surgical procedure for several months to have done in time for a big event! One I was trying to get the magnet therapy for depression, that never happened and they gave me the run around til I just gave up. Then this surgical procedure I had been planning on and even got upset with them about because I needed a careplan to get ready for this that wasn't happening! I'm a travel nurse and needed to go home for this event. They got me so very excited about this procedure they offer in their office that he even offered me a bit more! Alll for a great low price. I was so excited, I told everyone, got prepared with work, friends to drop me off and pick me up. Well, not only did they postpone my pre op appointments more than once, that of course pushed my surgery back twice, but the day of surgery I came in and they were all suspicious looking, running around dodging me, not greeting or even looking at me! The medical assistant came out and said the doctor canceled my procedure because he was suddenly concerned with an antidepressant I was taking might interfere. I'd been taking this med for years so he already knew my medical history but also, This was so untrue as I researched this BS later plus I had already stopped taking any meds at all for a week prior!! I said I wanted to speak to him and he refused to come out and talk to me then the witch at the front desk that couldn't get my other procedure in order, brought me a receipt of return of my entire payment I'd been paying on towards my procedure for months!! With no real explanation at all! I could have gone anywhere but I gave them a second chance after screwing up another planned procedure and they screwed me again less than 1 month before my event! Now in a panic I'm looking elsewhere, during the holidays, but the healing will take too long so I have to do some other more minor procedures like Botox and fillers. This man is nothing but a dishonest inconsiderate perverted creep!! And I know that a bad review means nothing to him I'm certain, for his arrogance but I will always be sure to tell everyone I know and report it to the people who will actually care about his inappropriate beginning of the week late night sessions!!
