First time ordering from here. Got the OMG sandwich which is a chicken parm with vodka sauce. The sandwich was a good portion size it was very filling. My bread was burnt a little on the top. It was very messy eating it but super delicious sandwich.

Initially this location was supposed to be a coffee house, then they switched it up to an Italian eatery and am I glad they did. Growing up in NYC my Yelp reviews often complain about being a bread snob and not being able to get good bread "down the shore". BB did us all a favor, they import the bread, problem solved. My Wife and daughter decided to venture in. They have yet to do a grand opening and are understandably still working out some kinks. The main reason we went in is bc we saw on their Facebook page that they were making fresh mozzarella. We ordered: Sandwich #1 Roast beef, fresh mozzarella, brown gravy w salt and pepper Sandwich #2 Fried eggplant, fresh mozzarella, sun-dried peppers and balsamic drizzle Sandwich #3 Porketta, fresh mozzarella, balsamic drizzle All the sandwiches were amazing. Freshly made with fresh ingredients. What more can you ask for? The porchetta sandwich wound up being my favorite, I've been dying to try this for years and Breakin Bread did not disappoint. The flavors were clean and fresh and they paired with the fresh mozzarella so well, I didn't want to stop eating. The location is on the small size but not too small. They have pastries and cookies from many different bakeries. Fresh pastas, and hot dishes. They also have many Italian cold-cuts and I believe I did see a big coffee machine behind the counter. Prices are also fair and the place seemed nice and clean. The Owner / Workers were all pleasant and chatted with us a little while our sandwiches were being made. All in, I'm glad Breakin Bread opened, I wish them a world of luck and success. I look fwd to trying some of their other specialties. Apologies for the lack of pics, we started eating too fast.

10/10 food, service and experience. Amazing sandwiches and the guy making them was the best part. Greeted us so cheerfully, told us the favorites, and helped us narrow down the choices. Try them out!!! I chose the #9! Mmmmm!!! Oh, AND, he also gave us a hot, FRESH chicken cutlet to try! Amazing.

Huge delicious sandwiches. The OMG and Hoboken amazing. The bread is the best. They are pricy, but will feed you a couple of times. Fresh ingredients. A great addition to Toms River.

I've said it before and I'll say it again these are the best sandwiches in the area and some of the best sandwiches I've had. The people that work there are always so nice and friendly. The shopis super cute and they even have pasta and sauce and other things for sale. Sandwiches are a little pricey but I do believe they are worth every penny. They are my go to!

Absolutely Love EVERYTHING about this place! My husband brings subs home from Jersey city and these are just as good! The bread is amazing. Enough meat to buy an extra roll and make another sandwich! Great about special requests. Convenient pre made meals for only $8.99 to take to work of have in the fridge. Fresh mozzarella, long joys, eggplant rolatini that is perfectly crisp. And every single person that works there is beyond friendly & helpful!

Sandwiches were awesome, definitely more than enough for 1 person. Bread was fresh and delicious, better than most local shops.

Appetizers were great, ordered probably half of the appetizers on the menu, all were great. I really like the calamari and the giant cheese balls. I got the spicy rigatoni with a crispy chicken cutlet and the drunken parm, very delicious, large and had left overs. Definitely coming back, food was flavorful and the service was great, super easy and simple!

It's on the left hand side in a shopping plaza, just off Fischer Blvd heading East. They have a small waiting area, but once seated, it was spectacular!! Ashley was one of our servers. Yummy Of course water, bread delivered to the table. It's a BUO ! We also had the large Caesar salad. Delicious and plenty for 2-3 guests. Then came the main course. I had the lasagna. I haven't had Lasagna in decades. I usually get seafood or Chicken Parm. Spectacular dish. More than half came home in a doggie bag. Tomorrow's lunch. They brought out the Belgian Chocolate Mouse, no antlers with birthday ornaments and sang Happy Birthday to my wife. Everyone's meal was enormous and leftovers abound. We already are talking about going back again. THANKS

Another disappointment was the olive oil and garlic was an add-on appetizer. The fact that the Parmesan cheese was a shaker and not a grater was a little bit of a disappointment as well I got the Italian trio which was meatballs, sausage, and egg eggplant over pasta. Is this the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to?…read more Actually, yes, it is. And I have been to a lot of Italian restaurants. The wait for a table was 45 minutes, but it was worth every minute. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was wonderful. We ended up being seated in a back patio room and though it was very hot outside (one of those 100 degree days last summer), it was actually very nice in there. The show started with someone asking for our drink order, then coming back with said drinks. After that she brought out some starts on the house, courtesy of chef and owner Joe. We were off to a great start! Soon after she returned to get our dinner order. After that, Chef Joe himself showed up to our table to thank us for visiting his restaurant and ask how we liked things so far. We let him know those starters were perfect...eggplant balls and a corn/tomato salad. Eventually our dinner came. Both dishes were waaaaaaaay more food than either of us expected. I had ordered chicken with mozzarella squares on top and drizzled in balsamic, which was a special created by Chef Joe's wife, according to the menu. My partner got eggplant parm...and wow, what a pile of food it was. Two huge eggplant pieces piled high with delicious sauce and served with some delectable pasta. Chef Joe came back to the dining room awhile later to ask people how their entrees were, and we let him know this was a great experience. I want to go back to Point Pleasant just to get here again. This time I will make a reservation.

What an experience! Spano's is exactly what you'd want an Italian restaurant to be. The food is…read moreamazing. The customer service is exceptional. The ambiance is perfection. The night started with Joe Spano, the owner, stopping at our table to bring several little dishes before we even had a chance to look at the menu. The meatballs (made with actually no meat but rather eggplant) were pure sorcery...like so good there aren't words. He noticed our wine bottle (it's BYOB so come prepared!), and by pure coincidence, it was his favorite bottle. Joe asked to show another costumer because they had been discussing wines earlier, and he wanted to make sure they got to see the label. If that wasn't personal enough, the walls are adorned with black and white framed photographs of family from back in the day to the present. The environment is clean, well-maintained, and cozy. Every bite we had was exceptional and the portions were huge! We left contently full but with plenty of leftovers. I'm quite sure every meal will exceed the expectations of even the pickiest of eaters. Our server, Brian (or Bryan) was new but attentive and informative. He spent time talking with his tables and being personable while also making sure everyone was taking care of. Overall, I highly recommend experiencing a meal at Spano's at least once....but after your first bite, you'll likely be making your next reservation before you leave (like we saw many people do)!
