I recently visited the Coronation Club (with a member) for lunch, and was not impressed in the slightest. The average priced meals tasted just that. Average. Not bad, not good, just a stomach filler. I had the barramundi ($13) and spring rolls ($10 for a dozen). But it wasn't the food that rubbed me the wrong way. The staff were a little too 'snooty' for my liking. A strict dress code is enforced, so get ready to be scrutinized head to toe. To be allowed entry into the club you must be a member, or be in the presence of a member. I'm not really a fan of such exclusive dives. The only good thing about the Coronation Club is the ample parking, and cheap drinks. But that's about it.

The dish came with rice on the side - I don't know why, the main course was very dry and had no juices to disperse. I thought they might redeem themselves with desert, but my espresso infused cake was also dry and possibly stale as it was hard to cut through with a spoon. On the up side, I really like the venue.
