The event space was large, extremely accessible to public transportation, and the break out rooms were cozy for small teams. This is a really unique playground where children can climb over, under, and around sculptures of hippopotamuses in the pretend river that's the playground floor. Children can climb into a canoe sculpture, cool off in summer in the water spray feature, and climb mounds. It's a way to enjoy a Safari without ever leaving New York City. Safari Playground is on the top of a hill with views down toward the Reservoir. It's the only playground in Central Park that doesn't include traditional playground equipment like slides, swings, or a sandbox. I love it!!

Pro-tip: Even if you're not painting, wear the apron. Trust me, your shirt will thank you for this advice! The kids had an absolute blast. It was so interactive, and once they finished, they had blow dryer stations so we could dry the paint. The best part? They took the painted items to the back and made them all shiny! This is easily going to be one of my daughter's favorite playgrounds in the city. Although we need a train ride to get here, this space is well worth it. Structures are innovative and there's plenty to climb for a child in search of adventures. There's even a tunnel they can crawl up and down on they're own! There's a section for little ones at the northern end and water sprinklers as soon as you enter to the right. The jungle made of ropes and unstable platforms is unique, and so is the pretend train car that can be moved from outside. This place is nothing short of awesome! We visited on a Sunday afternoon toward the end of summer and the place wasn't even too crowded. It's kept clean and we felt safe.
