I have been a cab driver for OVER 30+ years now. I am currently semi-retired (awaiting my Covid-19…read moreVaccine before returning to work). I have a few hints to ALL RIDERS. 1. Passengers should NEVER ride in a cab WITHOUT the METER being turned on. That is not only illegal, but this is a good indication that you are going to be screwed. The only time the meter should not be turned on, is IF you have BOTH AGREED to a set price before you start your trip (AND HAVE PAID IN ADVANCE). 2. If you have a SET WAY that you want the driver to drive, make sure to inform the driver as soon as you get in the cab. He might argue OR suggest a better route (because of delays for accidents or whatever) but he should AT LEAST inform you of them - just to give you a choice or at least another option). 3. I do not like to kick people out of my cab, but I have done it on numerous occasions. I especially do not like to do it, during inclement weather conditions or especially when there are kids involved. But if it comes down to my dealing with an unruly and/or disrespectful passenger, I will not deal with these (so-called) idiots no matter the circumstances. I have kicked out about 10-15 passengers over the years (for various reasons - mainly lack of funds ). If (FOR ANY REASON) a driver tells you to "GET OUT", don't argue with him/her. The driver is in his/her rights to call the cops on you. The best advice I can give, is to get out then call the dispatcher and file your complaints and politely ask him/her for another cab. If you were kicked out of a cab but were NOT ASKED to pay ANY FARE, count your blessings. By LAW the driver could have REQUIRED you to pay for ANY FARE on the meter. I have only required this (requiring to be paid - that is) only once or twice in the years I have been driving. This is all the advice I can give at the moment... Be safe and be careful out here... Joe (Driver #192)...

Let's say you're totally broke and dont have a car, or your an illegal and want to get from point A…read moreto point B, this is the way to go. I have been around both of those people, and they always seem to call this company. it is highly unprofessional in my opinion. their fares are standard compared to anyone else, but their selection of drivers is atrocious. I have only used to taxi a few times, one getting a ride home from a party, and another memorable time is when i took the train somewhere but no one was there to take me. So I called Capital City Cab, based in Steelton. The guy shows up in a cadillac that had a sticker slapped to the side that displayed that it was a taxi. I really didnt care much though, it was taking me where i was going. about half way through the ride the driver started to make turns and going down streets he didnt have to, when I finally complained that he wasnt going to most direct or fastest way he said he had another fair to pick up and was just checking to see if they were available. i really couldnt believe it. In my opinion taxi drivers are the slowest possible when you're in the car and the most reckless when you're driving next to it. It was a change of pace, nice to let someone else do the driving, but he was just totally inconsiderate.

Most reliable company Very clean cabs Always on time safe drivers …read more..... I am grateful that the company capital city cab services still provide the best service for all these years.

Honestly, I have to…read morewrite about my experience with this company. First of all, HERSHEY is a terrible place. There are maybe only 3 restaurants to even bother eating their food and maybe 2 bars. The "theme park" is comically small. I'm staying at one of two sub-par marriott properties and I realized I left me credit card at Troegs... The ONLY place worth visiting in this hell hole. So, I called the ONLY cab company in Hershey. They refused to pick me up. Refused. They are in a "legal battle" with the fairfield. I explained I DIDNT care what had or hadn't happened in the past and explained I would walk down the street to ANY other establishment. After several times "checking" with someone next to him, the "operator" hung up. Just hung up. I plan on taking my own legal action against this customer as they failed to provide a service to me and I feel discriminated against... I think it was my race ??

Cheaper than uber. ($25 from Comfort inn at the park to Harrisburg airport vs $37)…read morecheaper than the hotel's reccomended shuttle service ($10 vs $15 in hershey area) Driver was very friendly and very punctual. He was nice enough to point things out like a mini tour on the ride to Penn State hospital where I was having my interview. He picked me up the next morning at 4:30AM to go to the airport and was 10 minutes early. He even remembered me and asked how my interview went. Very thankful for his services and for the friendliness. I will use this taxi service again if I am in the area.
