He was able to come over to really look into the needs of the job, and not just give me a price. He informed me of the time line of the project and the need for ideal temperatures and weather (which I would have not to thought about). His knowledge of aesthetics was also useful since I would have not thought about the additional vertical surfaces around the sides of the deck that would also require matching paint. He was able to let me know the type of paint that he was recommending (he dropped off a deck paint palette brochure) thus giving us the opportunity to look for a suitable color. He was very aware of the weather and was very easy to contact to schedule an ideal time frame for the job. The painting team worked efficiently and was able to take care of the job in 2 days as stated! The outcome was beautiful, durable, and refined. On pristine walls that had only been painted once and virgin wood floors that had been covered with…read morecarpet since the 50s, the paint job was sloppy (paint on woodwork; wall paint on the ceiling) and had to be redone. They subcontracted out the wooden floors, which they did and redid 3X before I booted them out, got out of the contract, and paid for what work was done. The floors were sanded down right to the nails in places, before I came onsite and saw what was done. To top it off, I had to rent a place to stay, because the work was completed over three weeks after the agreed upon completion date. The company owner was rude, to boot. I've never been so happy to end a relationship in my life!

The staircase is long and tall and had a lot of old wallpaper that had to be removed. Mike came over and gave an excellent quote including the time frame to complete the job, arrived on the day promised, and finished all of the work on time and at the price quoted. He had to set up his scaffold/ladder to be able to reach the high places which he did perfectly. Mike removed all of the old wallpaper, spackled and sanded the rough areas to ensure smoothness while making sure to minimize the spackle dust, then painted the whole thing. He was very careful to tape up all of the woodworking, and dldn't leave any paint spots behind. Mike completed the job on time and and as promised, and it looks great!
