No other contractor, painting or otherwise has been as diligent at getting back to me with an estimates for the work. He was very neat as promised, not using the sinks to clean brushes and left the apartment in great condition, These apartments are very old and not the easiest painting project, In fact this most recent apartment probably hadn't been painted in 20 years and I asked him to paint very old dirty cabinets since I didn't want to replace them. Rey and his Crew made them look as new as possible see photos. They also painting walls, ceiling, closet doors and very ornate trim that needed primer and several coats to cover very old wood. I found his estimates for work very fair and he was able to stay within my allotted budget. We also worked together on timing of the project and he was able to get in and out within the time frame I needed for renting. I would highly recommend RMJ Painting and Rey

My wife and I contacted several contractors to paint our home. Everything went well at first…read more They showed up on time, taped up and appeared to do the work as promised. About two days into the work, things broke down. Each day, someone different would come to the house, not knowing where the last person finished or the work that needed to be completed. They hit some bad weather and decided to take down our shutters and work on them at their location. They damaged some of the shutters beyond repair, told us they would replace them, and then sent someone to try to repair them (even though they said they would replace them). Six weeks into the project, the work is not complete. There is clearly miscommunication at the office since workers who show up are under the impression they are there for something other than what we were told by the estimator. In addition to bad communication and follow up, they left equipment on our lawn that killed some of the grass, failed to touch up and remove mold before painting as promised, piled stuff in my garage making it hard to park, and on top of it have been sending bills as if the work is even close to being completed. While no one has been rude, it is clear that they've either taken on too much work this summer, or need someone to manage the business better. Unless they can resolve their organizational issues, I would stay away from this company. This is the most frustrating experience I've had with a company in my 16 years living in the Lehigh Valley. Update: Two weeks later and the job is still not complete. The manager Bill spoke with my wife and promised the work would be done. We were told that we would get a call before anyone else showed up to finish the work. While at work, my son called and said guys showed up and were working. By the time I got home, they were gone. Two broken shutters were replaced, but other work was not completed. No call or follow up. This is like a clown show and I have downgraded to one star. I'll post again when the work gets done, but at this point, I would recommend avoiding this contractor. They are unorganized and workers show up not even knowing what to do. This is a poorly managed business.

We had our entire home painted on August 18, 2025, and I stayed until August 22, 2025, to go back…read moreto Connecticut and when we moved in September 10, 2025, into our home in PA. I e-mailed project manager and said that ALL 16 doors had paint drippings on door handles, hinges, latches, locks. Was told I signed off on the sheet and that it was a month later making this claim and there nothing Amato could do, but really it was 17 days. These are just a sample of the pictures; I could not take pictures of all the inside/outside hinges of 16 doors. There is not one door that did not have paint drippings, i also did not take pictures of the paint drippings on our ceiling fan, brand new bathroom fixtures. Absolutely horrible customer service, they got their money, so I am a lost memory. These pictures speak volumes.

As the other reviews say, they subcontract. I had to have the lead guy come out twice to fix all…read morethe mistakes the sub contractor made. You'd think the guy whose name is on the company would reach out and apologize? Or inspect the work that is done under his name? No. Poor business practice. Had my molding done all on my first floor, paint was all over my existing walls. Had the ceilings done and he splattered all over my existing wall paint. General patching was included, when i pointed out a spot Ryan and i specifically discussed the original subcontractor spackled it and left it. Job done. The sub contractor had to contantly ask what work needed to be done, the guy didn't even know the job!!! I spent a day cleaning up paint chips off my wood floors and peeling tape left behind. Had to take 2 days off work to have them come out and "fix" it. Im still looking at my old paint through the new paint in some spots. Ive resorted to fixing it myself because i don't want them touching my walls again. Steer very clear of them. Never again.
