I called ~30 companies over the course of 1.5 years to get help with removing a load bearing wall. After receiving a few bids and not hearing back from contractors (likely because they are busy with larger projects), I finally found Bravo Construction. Erick came out and gave a fair market price bid (I had an idea because I had a few other bids to compare with). I contacted Erick promptly and they were able to squeeze my project in and get it done quickly. Jose's crew was really unbelievable. If you get Jake and his brother working on your house, go ahead and relax now. These guys are as good as it gets. I've got the names mixed up, but one of the brothers is around 30 years old and has been working 'carpentry' since he was in his mid teens. The quality of work, passion, and general attitude shows he really picked the right career. I could go on and on about this project but bottom line is - They were very professional, on time, communicated well, finished project on time and the final price matched BID amount. I was going to give them a higher review, but ive spent the last few days fixing the broken gutters they left me with. Thanks guys, you where supposed to fix the roof vent, but of my gutters only had 1 bolt put back in. The other gutter had the flanged adaptor completely broken off and the drainpipe just leaning up against the gutter. Pretty obvious mistake the could have fixed right on the spot. I dont like deceit from vendors when i hire them. read more

Bravo Construction (aka Bravo Demolition and Construction) inspected the roof of my home. They recommended a complete tearoff and replacement for $12,000 + tax. Jose Bravo then let me know that they happened to have a cancellation for the following week and could fit me into their schedule to do the work (lucky me). My roof was installed 7 years ago by a different contractor who used 30-year CertainTeed shingles. It's a second layer. The reason I had Bravo do an inspection was that the person who removed moss from my roof had questions about the effect of the moss on some of my shingles. Mr. Bravo showed me six photos of sections of my roof to back up his recommendation for complete replacement. He asked if I was experiencing leaks, and when I said no, indicated that leaks were imminent. He informed me that I/my roofer had invalidated CertainTeed's warranty on two counts: -He claimed that when a second layer was installed, it automatically negated CertainTeed's warranty. This is FALSE, according to CertainTeed's corporate office. -He also claimed that by allowing anyone other than the original CertainTeed-certified installer on my roof to perform work, my warranty was null and void. This is also FALSE, according to CertainTeed's corporate office. I contacted CertainTeed's corporate office to verify these and other claims that Mr. Bravo made. CertainTeed informed me that NONE of the information I had been told by Mr. Bravo was accurate. In addition, Mr. Bravo had claimed that his company was certified by CertainTeed, a manufacturer of quality roofing products. I learned from CertainTeed's corporate office that this also was FALSE after not finding Bravo Construction on their website as one of their certified roofers. --A complete list of CertainTeed's certified roofers is on their website: https://www.certainteed.com/find-a-pro. When I mentioned this to Mr. Bravo, he acted shocked, and claimed that his company had been listed under a different name (he did not provide me with that other name). These are the actions and recommendations that CertainTeed took on my behalf: The CertainTeed representative recommended that I contact the roofer who did my installation 7.5 years ago since most roofers guarantee their work for 5 to 10 years (which Mr. Bravo should have done), and arrange for him to inspect my roof for issues. To back up his assessment, the representative recommended that I have an independent legitimate inspection performed. CertainTeed contacted one of their long-time trusted certified roofing companies (Tekline Roofing) to start the process of arranging a legitimate roof inspection. Tekline then referred me to Residential Roof Consultants (based in Bellevue), saying (rightly) that it would be a conflict of interest for them to inspect a roof since they install them. Residential Roof Consultants inspected my roof yesterday. They provide completely independent, comprehensive, and objective roof inspections. They do not install roofs so there is no conflict of interest in their work. Their findings were completely different from Bravo Construction: My roof has a couple of issues that they recommended I address. They estimated that the cost of these repairs would be $250 - $400, and once completed, my roof should hold up for up to seven more years. The issues that Bravo Construction used to justify an immediate tearoff and replacement were highly exaggerated according to Residential Roof Consultants' objective inspection. Mr. Bravo appears to be sincere, making it all the more confusing when his statements about himself and professional assessment of my roof did not hold up. If I had moved forward with Mr. Bravo's installation of a new roof, this unnecessary work would have been an enormous financial setback for me. It would have meant that other repairs that are actually needed would have had to wait for years, until I recovered financially from this expense. Primary lesson learned: For an accurate roof assessment, contact a fully independent consultant. Do NOT use a roofing company or construction company that provides roofing services. I recommend working directly with the corporate office for the brand of shingles you are planning to use. I personally chose CertainTeed brand. Their corporate customer service and products are excellent. read more

Bravo Construction recently reroofed my garage on my personal residence and the entire roof on a rental we own in Magnolia. I do a lot of construction and remodeling work myself, and the quality and attention to detail Bravo showed was outstanding. In the case of the roof on the garage of my personal residence, the garage is located right on the property line, with my neighbors very expensive plants located right up against the garage wall. Bravo did such a great job protecting the plants, that not only was there no evidence (debri) present when they were done, but the area was kept absolutely clean all the time they were working even though they had to remove 2 layers of old roof and put down new underlayment. Jose, the project manager did a excellent job helping me decide from the initial quote to job completion on what should be done, and what didn't need to be done to get a quality job at a reasonable price (which they were when compared to several other bids). On the rental property they went the extra mile to replace vent pipe exhausts with high quality flashing and advised me and coordinated installation of new chimney flashing with a contractor that specifically does that type of work. Definitely would use them again. Jose was great to work with, always timely in his follow-up. His crew was conciencious, efficeient, and very professional. read more

Bravo Construction made enhancements to and repaired several areas of my Mom's roof this winter season. For several months, my Mom's house had numerous problems from the common aging of a house: Stains and "rotting" of certain walls and ceilings and a leak in the garage. After attempting to work with two other construction companies who did a horrible job of following up with me (one of them did an assessment, then NEVER got back to me with a quote, and the other just plain never called me back when I first tried to reach them), Jose from Bravo Construction called me back within just a couple of hours of calling him and was at my Mom's to assess the issues that same day. Jose prepared a detailed contract and estimate of the work within one business day of assessing my Mom's home. This was a very professional document that stated his assessment of the home and the issues reported, his diagnosis of what the problems would likely be, a list of the work that he was proposing fix the issues, the price for that work, plus a copy of his work permit, license, liability insurance, and a list of references. After speaking to three of Bravo's references and hearing lots of positive feedback, I decided to hire them. The only challenges we had with the work was the weather. It took almost a couple of weeks for the work to get started due to the continuous rainfall throughout the month of December, however Jose kept a close lookout at the weather reports and kept in touch with me as to when would be a good day they could come to start. One of the issues on my Mom's roof was staining on the cathedral ceiling of her living room. Part of Bravo's original work order was to open up part of the roof to check for proper ventilation. They were able to do this quickly, and Jose took the time to explain to me why better ventilation for the roof was necessary to stop more stains from happening. Upon this confirmation, Bravo created a separate work order for the additional work needed to allow for better ventilation. This was an additional cost, but it was stated clearly what this could accomplish. They also added flashings to areas of the roof where they were not sufficiently applied. They replaced the back side gutters of the house with better and stronger K-5 aluminum gutters and re-routed a gutter that was dropping water to the side of the house, calling leaks in the garage. In addition to all the work he detailed in his contract, Bravo also cleaned out all of the gutters throughout the roof at no charge, plus replaced a light bulb that was way too high for any of us to reach, again at no charge just to help us out. As long as Bravo Construction begins to accept credit cards, I foresee a long-term working relationship with them. :) read more

This was another top-notch job from Bravo Construction. They were out 3 years ago and built a beautiful new roof for me. This year, the guys came out to repair damage to a wall from a leak caused by a rusted chimney cap. That wall looks fantastic and Cesar is a wizard when it comes to dry wall. It is absolutely, truly an invisible repair. The team also built a custom cedar fence and it is a work of art. The property slopes and is also uneven, but this fence is gorgeous. Bravo Construction gutted my garage, put up walls, wallboard, taped, sanded painted, put up light fixtures, cleaned up everything, put a french drain around the garage, saved my soil and plants, put everything back, did it all in 4 days by working 10 hour days IN THE COLD,. They were on time, friendly, helpful, made suggestions, went out of their way to help, took all the trash away - for a very reasonable bid, to which they adhered, although they DID EXTRA WORK NOT IN THE BID. They were wonderful and I can only highly recommend them for anything short of building a mansion. And maybe even that. read more

I called bravo construction not once but twice. The first time I called was on a Monday and scheduled with them to come out to give us a bid on Friday, but no show, no call. I then called second time the following Monday and with no one available to come out I gave them my phone number again for some one to call me back to let me know what's going on, never got a call back. Several months after I wrote my previous review Bravo Construction contacted me to inquire about the problem I had accused them of causing. They sent out an electrician (at no cost to me), who concluded that the light in my attic not working any more was due to......the light bulb being burned out. They did a grid ceiling in my business without a permit and an inspector of the city found this out 3 years later. They gave me 15 days to get the permit and I asked Bravo to do the job they should have done in the first place. The totally let me down and at the 15th day they told me they wouldn't do it. I had to go myself and apply for a permit not knowing what to do and how to fill out the forms. I sat half the night before the deadline to draw up some plans for the plan reviews. It is more than disappointing when a company doesn't do what they suppose to do and then not even willing to correct their mistakes. So allof you out there doing business with them, make sure they get the correct permits BEFORE they do the job. read more
