One of the best decisions I ever made was starting silks lessons with Aerial 4 Me. I was completely…read morebored with the gym and wanted to try something new and different. My strength and self confidence have both grown tremendously since starting! The instructors are truly delightful people to spend time with. They are gifted in their ability to give directions in a way that is understood by different types of learners. They are well trained in safety/spotting technique- even as I have advanced to more complex moves, I have always felt and been safe. If you hate fun and impressing your friends with fancy looking pictures of you doing cool stuff... This is not for you.

You'll learn the basics at first (climbing, basic foot lock), and once capable they will move you up to the next class. Depending on your ability, you may move up classes quickly or, like me, repeat some classes until you gain enough strength to move up. For your safety only, you will be allowed to advance in classes as your physical ability will allow, and no sooner. They will tell you the truth! If you're afraid of heights, I still recommend it! The intro classes work either from the ground or 6 inches off the ground until you're strong enough to go up higher. I had very weak upper body or core when I started. I am now about 1 year into classes and have improved dramatically, can climb to the top, and do moves I never dreamed of. You will amaze yourself, which is probably the most fulfilling part of it all. If you're looking for a new adventure and open to a session, I highly recommend Aerial 4 Me.

We were so excited and a little nervous at the idea of pole dancing. For the number one reason of…read morecourse: it takes some real strength to hold yourself. Luckily for us and hopefully those looking to see if this is worth it. We decided to try something new and just do it! It is totally worth it! The fun we had doing this was overflowing! We laughed, cheered each other on, and overcame. It took a few flops to get it right. But that's common when you are learning something new! I was very lucky to learn four different apparatuses in Aerial Yoga and some pole dancing moves! Coming to Flyfit is definitely a good choice! You just feel so empowered at the end of every class. It makes you want to come back and learn more. Which is exactly what happened to me. I can't wait to show off my new moves.

I purchased a groupon for 3 pole dancing classes. I went to the Intro class first and had Julia as…read morean instructor. I LOVED how she started the class, made everyone forget about their outside worries and stresses, and make us look forward to what was ahead. The class was great (which is why I hesitate giving only 3 stars). From there I signed up for the Level 1 class knowing I would only go twice more. It was explained that we were to learn something new each time and build upon what we previously learned. The first class was great, and I learned a lot of ways to go down the pole. However, you had to sign up in advance for the class and there were 2 extra people, meaning 2 poles had 2 people on them. For a 1 hour class I didn't love the fact that I had to share a pole, kind of took away from the class in my opinion. Why sign up in advance if they're not going to cut the class at 10 for the 10 poles? (9 if you count the instructor's pole). The 3rd class I went to didn't really add anything more on the pole, but she opted to teach us wall dances. Again, this was a pole dancing class, so I wasn't soo excited about the wall. And the instructor was coming off of being sick and really made that known to us, quite a few times, and it was sort of distracting to the class. This one felt very forced and not as fun as the first two.

You'll get a good workout, feel great, and its not judgy, preachy, or silly. Just the good stuff. We even had her come to the house for private sessions. Equally awesome.

If you feel yoga would be good for you but fear you're not enough (flexible, strong, young,…read morecoordinated etc enough) then Shiloh is the yoga teacher for you! She prepares and researches for each class like no yoga teacher I've known (practicing for well over ten years). Shiloh also has a degree and experience in kinesiology as well as a huge curiosity for how the body works. Her explanations and communication are excellent. One knows exactly what to do before needing to do it. She also give modifications and is in constant reflection about guiding the class. I feel safe and secure as we do some very unusual, fun movements (!) to get stronger, build stability and balance so that we can eventually get to those yoga positions or refine our flows. I love learning about why what we are doing is so good for us! Due in part to running, to a major injury and admittedly age (60's) I needed to work all areas of my physical body to be my best and Shiloh has nurtured my healing. It is with much gratitude for Seeds of Peace Yoga and for what Shiloh has meant to so many, that I write this from-the-heart review. Give Shiloh a try, you will be so glad you did.
