My update after two years from my first visit. This one is for October 2020…read more The staff has become more professional, quick and friendly and following covid guidelines. If I could raise beyond 5 stars or give some Michelin rating I would lol. The value and portions were superb. As was the freshness, flavor variety. The menu is extensive! Now they offer breakfast. (Had I know that during my visit!) I will try that later. Cold beer, great tacos, I jad the best spicy octopus taco of my life. Check tje pictures. And a fresh seafood plate plus a tostada. The tostada seems something they custom, Id advice to constantly check that quality as mine was not as crunchy as I expected. (Not sure of the custom part took away crunch). But a mini detail compared to my whole experience. Sushi rolls, cooked seafood plates, tacos, tostadas, ceviches, fresh cold seafood plates, specialty plates, OMG menu is huge and great! Some entreees will blow your mind and some are basic recipes that will allow you to appreciate simple yet fresh flavors. Love this place at the two locations I know. Parking at the front and side, an amazing terrace and an air conditioning area. I cannot express the great pleasure and it continues to be one of my all time favorites wheter their Hermosillo or Obregon branches which are the only two I have visited. Before entry they run covid check up and have a wet mat to clean shoe soles.

The place has a very good wine selection, an impressive tequila and mezcal selection and very friendly staff. If you become a regular at Farallón, you even get a personalized wine glass that will only be used by you every time you visit! The quality of the food speaks for itself. My personal favorites are: -Callo de hacha (scallops) -Aguachile de camarón (raw shrimp in lemon & chili) -Shrimp with hibiscus sauce -Roca shrimp The restaurant also serves sushi! You'll…read morenotice the area is distinctly different from other parts of the city with familiar businesses that you'll find in the US like Chili's, Starbucks, and Peter Piper Pizza. The decor outside is quite plain but clean with heavily tinted glass making you wonder if the place was open for business. Once you go inside, the decor is modern with a combination of chairs and booths. There is a large selection of wine in a big glass display case next to the bar. There is some accent lighting that breaks a moderately dimly lit place for added mood. The place feels large, open and spacious. I came here at night with co-workers on a business trip. We tried a sampler appetizer that included large shrimp, chopped octopus, large raw scallops, avocado, and cucumber. There is a dipping sauce that the waiter prepares at your table made of lime juice, spices, and a special blend chili sauce. There are other condiments on the table for you to blend your own sauce to your liking. The seafood sampler was fresh and delicious. There was also the complimentary chips that came with delicious smokey chipotle flavored salsa. For entree I ordered a white fish topped with prawn on a bed of rice and miso based sauce. The sauce I found to be a little overly sweet but overall the fish and prawn was cooked perfectly and the presentation was excellent. My coworkers also enjoyed their salmon and shrimp plates. We also shared a seafood rice which was tasty. Overall I have to say the seafood was fresh and flavor was good. The only odd thing I found was the strange selection of 80's music blaring in the background that contrasted with the modern theme. I had a tough time hearing what my co-workers were saying and a bit distracted with images of Karate Kid 2 when Peter Cetera's Glory of Love played among many other Chicago hits. I like 80's music just as much as the next guy but it just didn't fit with the mood of the place. Good thing they serve great seafood. I'd recommend a visit as this region is famous for freshly caught seafood.

What a truly amazing experience. The location is easy to find as it's off a main thoroughfare. The atmosphere is elegant but not stuffy, a modern touch with nice low lighting and well spaced tables. The service is outstanding, truly professional waiters. Juan Carlos was our waiter. He was attentive and offered great suggestions. Armando was another waiter who impressed me as he was ensuring every wineglass was spotless. Restaurants in Mexico offer a purse stand that is nice and classy for women to hang their purse. Now to the main event, the food! My wife with her small appetite, ordered the shrimp bathed in a sweet tamarind sauce which she loved and enjoyed. She had the tequila Don Julio 70 served (a las banderitas) accompanied by sangrita and lemon juice which represent the colors of the Mexican flag. I ordered the ribeye steak that was absolutely delicious along with a side of cauliflower and zucchini. I enjoyed the Cune Tempranillo wine. For desert we had a scoop of ice cream bathed with Bacanora (a local agave liquor) that topped off a wonderful meal and experience.
