We finally checked out this viral Instagram orchard everyone's been talking about. The property is huge and there were tons of apples still available for picking--not as picked over as other farms we've visited. The pond by the bakery is beautiful and makes for great photo spots. One thing we really appreciated was that it was way less hectic than Patterson's. We loved being able to do a little bit of everything--apple picking, grabbing treats, taking photos--without the insane lines or crowds. Do expect a long line at the bakery, but it moved surprisingly fast, and there was plenty of seating once you got your food, which was a nice bonus. Now for the famous cider slushies and donuts: they're definitely cute and very Instagrammable, but for us, they didn't quite live up to the hype--probably not worth the one-hour drive from Cleveland just for those alone. Taste-wise, they were good but pretty average. That said, we still had a great time overall! We enjoyed some treats, went apple picking, and got some lovely fall foliage shots. I struggled with this rating because I wanted to like this place but it was pretty underwhelming. The grounds are very pretty with a nice park area for small children but the prices are wild. The tiny, $5 danish I bought was cold but still tasted pretty good. This candy apple was over $16. The hoodies are $45...just not really worth what they charge. Either add more attractions to justify the prices or drop them by about 30% and it'd be worth it but I won't be going back any time soon. read more

We love to visit Brant's during apple season. We all love the cider, both regular and the slushies. They have many great apple varieties to purchase as well as Asian pears and grapes in season. The hot food and fresh made bakery items, such as the apple cider donuts, apple pies, etc, etc are all delicious! Everyone who works there has always been friendly and helpful. It's a wonderful place to just sit and relax at the picnic tables outside while enjoying cider and donuts on a beautiful fall day! read more

I struggled with the rating on this one. My friend and I drove a little over an hour to come to Brant's after we saw a social media post for the pulled pork max and cheese sandwiches. There were a few disappointing things. First unfortunately the sandwiches - ours were cold and the Mac and cheese didn't have very much flavor. It was honestly a bummer because I wanted to like it so much. The apples ... I took a couple from inside that were pre picked by the farm. They looked cool because they were so big but the texture was really grainy - this could be my fault. I should've picked my own fresh. Lastly, I know this is an apple orchard but I did see advertised that they had pumpkins which was good because I needed one. The prices were average but the selection was just not great. There might've been 20 pumpkins total to choose from. I honestly thought they must've had more somewhere else but they didn't. I'm also not a huge fan of there ordering/pay system. We ordered food and then got in a huge line to pay and get drinks. I honestly think that's is why our sandwiches were cold. I'm assuming everything was ready before we even paid. The positives - the baked potato soup! Oh man - it was the star of the show. Some hearty, well made soup. The apple cider donuts - while they weren't warm they did have great flavor. Lastly I mean it's an apple orchard so it's adorable. I might return next year for the sandwich I just hope for a better outcome. read more

Large orchards and plenty of apple varieties to choose from. Lots of grassy area parking. Beautiful little pond with tables and benches to eat the donuts, pastries, and other baked goods made fresh there. They also have lunch items like pulled pork sandwiches in addition to various apple butters, kettle corn, grapes, and a beverage stand inside. Playground area for the kids is large. read more

There are 3 must-haves for me every fall season - apple cider donuts, caramel apple, and pumpkins. I had expectations of what an apple orchard experience would be like, and I was sadly underwhelmed by Brant's, especially after driving 40 minutes here. Based off previous apple orchard experiences during pumpkin season, I thought Brant's would have pumpkins too - I was wrong. The apple cider donuts did not taste like apples at all - they were cold, not coated with sugar or glazed, just plain dough. The caramel apple coated with chocolate and M&M's was $12. There was no price listing for it on their menu, and now I see why. Granted it was huge and heavy, but not a $12 caramel apple to me. My bf and I got their pumpkin pie just for the fall spirit, and it was ok after we came home and heated it up. My visit is at the end of the apple picking season, but I've been to an apple orchard during all 4 seasons before, and their off season was still a better experience than this (I hate to compare). The girl at the bakery taking people's orders looked like she did not want to be there, which just made the experience more meh because even she wasn't happy. Working behind the counter during an overcast day at 4pm sucks, but at least look a little happy so your guests can feed off the happiness too. read more

The family and I visit every year! Usually multiple times.. we always get a bag of apples and a gallon of cider - to go. Getting a cider slushy and wrap is always part of with our visit. The food is fresh, apples are the best and staff is super friendly. They also have special events (seasonal). There's a small playground for the kids. It's a really great place. Went her with some friends and they did not have the best experience at the donut counter. They said the workers were rude, and when they asked them to correct their donut order, they put the incorrect donuts back up for sale with no concern on whether or not they had been touched. My husband said they weren't friendly when he placed his order as well. However the other counter (where you pay) was very friendly! We went on a horse carriage ride. Other than that though, the place is a little underwhelming in comparison to Patterson's. A little overhyped on social media. read more

A great place to spend a fall afternoon. The wait to get inside was long due to social distancing but they did a good job with COVID precautions. Last year was busy as well so be prepared regardless for lines on a weekend. I really enjoyed my caramel cider slushy. The Pulled pork/Mac and cheese sandwich was just ok but I wasn't expecting great BBQ from an apple orchard. They had plenty of picnic tables out back to sit out at. After we ate, we walked around the apple orchard and the grape vineyard. read more

Love heading to this place for Fall time. My biggest disappointment is they do not have indoor bathrooms, just porta potties. So I feel like while I would stay longer I am not using those so I do not stay there very long. I recommend coming earlier when it opens because it is way less busy. I recommend the apple cider slushies. They also have hot apple cider. Their apple cider donuts are a must (and less than 70 cents). They also have apples for purchase and multiple butters, jams, and other items. Prices are very reasonable. Have a lot of seating outside and it is very picturesque. Also has a small kid area to play and two corn hole sets. read more

Drove over an hour out here today to get some food and desserts, and was extremely unhappy. After waiting in a 45+ minute line, we discovered that they were out of 99% of their desserts, and were out of their signature pulled pork and mac & cheese that we wanted. It was very upsetting. They only had a few plain cider donuts, a few cookies, and a few super small personal-sized pies. They had none of what you would normally expect for an apple farm to sell during the fall, it was ridiculous. One of the owners did cut some money off the bill after we voiced our displeasure, which was appreciated. The food options that they had were pretty much cafeteria food, as the wraps were very plain and the soup was lukewarm pre-made soup. The donuts were not too great either, but the caramel apple cookie was pretty good. The grape and apple cider slushies were good, but they don't give you whipped cream unless you pay extra, which was not specified on the menu. Also, the young high school-aged employees were not friendly at all. I can't see ourselves ever coming back if this is how they normally operate. read more

For the location and set up, to the pond and clean bathrooms, all done very well. Some more time needs spent on inside tho and super disappointed to drive an hour away and get there around 3pm to find most everything gone food wise. I'm sorry but a $7 grilled cheese and ham and cheese wraps are REALLY overpriced and left customers wanting. With 3 more hours to spare til close, amazing marketing on the pulled pork, you may want to change your availability for food times to accommodate people like us, who drove specifically for that sandwich as well as a slushy and fresh apples! We had always raved about Brant's cider since Roy brought in the old cider press. Bought some in Septemer that was delicious, sweet and clear as always. Drove the hour+ back in early November and it was the worst cider we've ever had! Bought and froze promptly 4 bottles, each one then found to be cloudy and so full of sediment you can't drink it. Tried filtering it with little improvement, tried heating it and skimmed off over a half cup of foam and still large amounts of sediment when poured into cups.Prior owner would be appalled! Too bad they close at Thanksgiving or I'd call current owners. read more

I'm very upset with my experience. I went on Sunday and all workers are very rude. There was ranch in the Turkey & Brie wraps due to running out of Brie. Food was cold and mediocre at most. Brant's is the best -- I come in about once or twice a week during the season for cider, it's so good! Plus, it's a beautiful drive out to the orchard. There's tons of apples, drinks, baked goods, and other items to choose from, you'll definitely be going home with something. The people running the place are super friendly and welcoming too! Great variety of apples. The baked goods are freshly made, and the donuts and the apple cookies are to the best I have ever tasted. Fresh apple cider and apple cider slushie complete the experience.
