So new update since the last. After spending thousands to correct our heating issue we now have a…read moretotally new issue caused by the incompetence of R & R Heating. When we turned on our AC for the summer the smell was horrid. Called the company who fixed our heat only to have another $2,200 bill to have coils replaced. Due to the fact the system was installed upside down the water from the system wasn't draining correctly and ruined our coils. We paid to get that fixed and surprise the smell is still there. They had to go back in and decided to pull the system all out and flip it so it is installed correctly. The damage was already done and the smell is still here. So now we are paying to have all duct work cleaned professionally. The tech said he isn't sure this will even help as the damage from the initial install has ruined 70% of our duct work. The next step is having all duct work removed and all new out back in. The tech from the company we use now because R & R was NO help (actually so rude I refuse to even call her back) said it was the worst install he had ever seen and when they placed the condensation line it was not put in a drain they just left it on top of the plastic in our crawl space which caused water issues of it's own. To say I am beyond frustrated with this situation is not even close we are out thousands of dollars and this company knew we had severe issues and they act like oh well it is what it is. I even bought the extended warranty which was a JOKE. I hope no one else gets scammed by this company.

R&R installed a $23,000 HVAC system in a house that I renovated in 2018 and 2019. R&R specified the…read moreequipment. We started using the system in 2019. We have replaced the filters timely. We purchased the extended warranty. We have had many problems with the system. I think R&R has made 5-6 service calls in the 2+ years that we have operated the system. I will only explain the last problem. In August of 2020 one of the 5 ton cooling units went down. R&R came out and replaced the Freon. They did not do a leak test. One month later the cooling unit went down again. R&R came out again and replaced the Freon and indoor TXV. Soon thereafter, it was fall and air conditioning was not needed. In June of 2021 the unit was not cooling again. R&R told me that they would not be able to make a service call for 7 days. I told them this was unacceptable. I called a local guy who works on some of my other units and he found a leaking coil in about 2 minutes. The unit's Freon had leaked out and he used Nitrogen to find it. To the best of my knowledge R&R never did a leak test. I would expect that when you purchase a $23,000 system for a residential house that it would work. There is no reason R&R should have replaced the Freon twice without finding the leak.
